Mixed sex events coming to the Olympics in 2020

It's being structured in a way to hide the fact that women would get creamed if they went head-to-head against men.

Quote:Quote:

Mixed-gender events in athletics, swimming, table tennis and triathlon have been approved for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the IOC has announced.

The Games will include a 4x400m mixed relay in athletics and a 4x100m medley mixed relay in swimming.

IOC president Thomas Bach said the Games will be "more youthful, more urban and include more women".

[...]

"We have taken a really important step forward in terms of gender equality," said IOC sports director Kit McConnell.

Mixed sex events coming to the Olympics in 2020

Just double down on the hysteria and make it all mixed. I want to see women get laped in races and get thrown around like dolls in in Judo.

All this does is skirt around the issue that Men and Women are different in that you need a mixed set of hard set team numbers (2 M + 2 F in a relay) to have some appearance of balance.

The relay race will be a joke because they were purposefully make sure that the Men sets run against the men, and female sets vs the women. Nothing more I would want to see than a man vs female set up at the blocks waiting to dash out, or a man vs woman on last link of the relay turning the bed onto the strait away towards the finish.

The Olympics is far from begin dead, it is not a mummified corpse that is unable to change.

Just toss it all out already. I just want all this Gender Bender stuff to get exposed big time, let the degenerates stop skirting around it and let men and women compete 1 one 1 with no gimmicks.

This actually already happened in the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Semenya has no womb or ovaries but internal testes due to abnormality. She also has an Adam's apple.
Semenya tested three times the testosterone level of a normal woman.

No surprise, she(?) destroyed the competition. Her competitors were obviously less than thrilled with her being allowed to compete.
A few were pretty vocal about it, but most kept quiet to avoid public/SJW backlash.

So, they're adding facials as an event?

I would actually watch the Olympics if they featured mixed gender boxing, wrestling, and hockey.

This is a positive move for the fans. They just want us to see more blowouts.

In fact, I would support mixed gendering my favorite pro sport -- tennis. Then I would never have to wait for a men's match while a boring women's match goes on and on. No women would make the top 300 in the tennis world and would be relegated to challenger matches (probably not even challengers...) it would be fantastic.

100% agree. Let's go all in and see the results. Let's see the US women's national soccer team take on the men's national teams from Spain, Portugal, Germany, Brazil, Argentina. Let's see how many goals someone like Messi can score in that one game. 10, 12 by himself? Hell, let's see the US women's team play some junk men's national team like Canada or Scotland.

Let's see a women's basketball team take on team USA. Can Lebron or Currie score 100+ individual points? Let's see the individual sports too. Let's see the men vs women judo or boxing events. Let's see the 100m and 200m sprints or the javelin and discus throws.

Ought to be close and unpredictable, right? Men and women are equal, right?

I think you're overestimating the degree to which this fact is "hidden." When timed events (e.g. track and swimming) are shown on TV, the athletes' times are posted and any moron can easily observe that the male competitors vastly outperform even the top finishing women.

Yeah we all constantly hear meaningless platitudes ("Girls can do anything boys can do!"), but I've never heard anybody specifically argue that the top women at any sport could compete with the top men.

I don't think this is what is being assumed here in this thread. Mixed-gender events have been around in swimming and track and field for a while, just not in the Olympics or championship events. On a relay team of four, you have to have one woman, or two, or whatever the rules say. No team has an advantage over another. It's like mixed doubles in tennis.

This is exactly what I thought. Mixed gender sports have been around for a long time---badminton, curling, triathlons, ultra-marathons, chess, diving, etc. This just brings them to the Olympics.

And no one is going to lose sight of the fact that genders are physically different. The mens' 100M time will always be a second faster than the womens' time, etc.

Not sure why this is that big of a deal.

On what planet is chess considered a sport?

I don't view an activity as remotely athletic if you can eat a sandwich, go the bathroom, take a nap, jerk-off, etc right in the middle of the activity.

Everybody with a functioning neuron knows the women will get creamed every time. The US Women's hockey was getting blown out by high-school-aged boys in scrimmages. Intergender olympic games will be the same.

Brilliant! It will be great to see the feminist SJW tv presenters hamstering over why the final runner in the 4x100m is a man for every single team (hint: because they all want to actually win).

Hopefully this will soon lead to men and women competing directly against each other, not just in mixed teams like they are suggesting.

Now that you mentioned it, you're correct. So with this why is this news? This rots and smells like the IOC is pandering to the gender bender craze in attempt to get soy infused city dwellers whom don't care about sports to watch the Olympics. If this is nothing new it shouldn't be news. I suspect pandering and thus I hope it blows up in th IOCas face.

Women can do anything men can do, they just simply do it much worse.

The most accomplished and proficient individual at any task/skill (ANY), in the world, will always be a man.

You know your culture is in collapse when the Olympics, one of the oldest concepts of sporting lore, has to do shit like this to stay "relevant".

I'm thinking a team of two men & two men who identify as women, would be the way to do it...

It is a big deal, when the slowest man outclasses the fastest woman by a landslide. In fact the first 10.000 would be men and the bottom 10.000 would be women. If men and women went through the same qualification, then in almost all sports only men would qualify and the poor participating men would have no horny women to fuck at the olympics.

Chess is also separated by genders - women have no chance at competing with the best men.

By this logic, mixed doubles tennis is also a big deal. Mixed doubles has been part of Wimbledon since 1888.

No - see the time of sprinters, runners, jumpers.

The difference is less apparent with tennis. If you had men playing against women, then you would see the difference. The Nr. 1 in female tennis would get beaten by the male Nr. 1000 easily 9 out of 10 times.

Mixed sex events coming to the Olympics in 2020

Bumping an old thread but I was just watching some swimming technique videos and stumbled across this race from the 2017 world championships from Budapest in June. Mixed relays are actually pretty entertaining because you have to really strategize here. From the clips I have seen, it appears that The 4x100 freestyle relay is fixed being that two men go first then your two women, so you probably won’t get to see the epic comebacks that men can make. The Medley relay implies you have someone each swim one of the four strokes, but the order of strokes in the race is fixed at back-breast-fly-free, so a country with, say, a really good female breast stroker will go up against a male breast stroker if it suits that country’s strategy. You will see teams that have women start with Backstroke and Breaststroke fall behind teams that front-load with men, but then tee it up for a big comeback in fly and freestyle.

You might get to see countries contend with the USA if they have a couple elite specialists of each gender versus a deep American team. Like Canada contending here stands out, you actually see they used a guy as the anchor and he was able to try to play catch up to the other teams who front loaded with men so he was head to head against women. Entertaining overall race!

The only downside to this is the fact that superstars will get to pad their medal count, while a guy like Michael Phelps stands at risk to lose his medal records one day if some guy gets to win multiple relays that weren’t around until now.
