I feel more open to saying 'politically incorrect' things publicly, and people are more open to discussion than outright censorship. That makes me happy, especially since I live in a yuge city on the west coast, no need to feel anxious about my politics anymore (although there is still a lot of hostility), it's much easier to connect and organize with like-minded individuals. People are growing accustomed to having their beliefs challenged.

Even an Aussie expat sitting in Thailand can feel hope, optimism and joy at the green shoots appearing in masculine, nationalist and entrepreneurial Trump taking the reins of the greatest country in the world.

The thought of him making it great again raises morale!
