Jamaica 2017 Datasheet (and DR comparison)

Welcome to Jamrock

Background
I was in Jamaica for five weeks April/May, following a combined year in the DR and Colombia. I'll compare and contrast all three countries as an addendum below.

Culture
Jamaican culture is generally up front, straight talking and pretty tough.
Carrying a piece is pretty common. One of the girls I saw fairly often carried a licence and a pistol with her everywhere.
I found it initially harder to make new friends here, but when I did earn trust and respect of people, they became really, really great friends - introducing me to sisters/cousins/friends and taking me out to parties, etc.

Jamaica is absolutely the most masochistic culture I've experienced, and generally Jamaican guys view/treat the women here poorly. World Game works to a tea.
Most Jamaican guys prefer white girls or "brownings", so if your thing is "darker the berry/sweeter the juice"... you'll have plenty of options.

I concur with other posts/datasheets out there about Rastafari... they are in the minority and generally work in the farms and keep to themselves, though some now do work in tourism.
The dread locked guys you see hounding tourists to buy weed are not indicative of rasta culture at all.

The majority of the population are devout/strict Christian, and their values/behaviours are reflected accordingly. Jamaicans in general have great manners and etiquette - especially in comparison to what i saw in latin countries.

Music
Dancehall has ecliped Reggae as the prime form of music. I noticed itunes assigns Dancehall numbers under the Reggae genre.
Young people almost exclusively listen to Dancehall, and some Soca from Trinidad (especially for Carnival)

Carnival is a great time to go! I went with the Xodus crew, and had an absolute blast, dancing and wining with insanely drunk honeys in skimpy costumes.

Race Relations
I discussed this at length with some folks.
Like many third world cultures, skin colour is aligned with status and assumed wealth.
However, not all Jamaicans are aspirational in such things, and in view of Jamaica's history, not everyone has a positive view of whites/europeans.
I'm mixed race, so talking about these things was pretty common in dates.
Also *all* of the girls I dated asked what my parents would think about me dating a black girl as if it would be an issue.
As Jamaica sits in the middle of many rapidly developing Spanish speaking countries, you might think there would be some awareness/cooperation going on... but there is none. Jamaicans really don't seem to care too much about vibing with the DR, Cuba, Colombia, etc.

Women
OK, so they aren't has sexy, passionate or bubbly as Colombianas or Dominicanas, but there are a lot of honeys if you look around, and almost all of them are friendly and receptive to approaches.
Many have really great bodies, and as they are afro-decended, most have nice, big firm "heavy bumper" asses, and tittie fans won't be left out either.
You won't find cute faces as the norm like other countries, but Jamaican girls generally have good bodies, and for me they make up for it in general communication and directedness.
i dated many women in Ja' and not a single one flaked on dates and were generally timely.

Not all Jamaican women are black - it's 95% black, but also mixed Chinese, Caucasian, Indian, etc.

Game
Online game is slowly taking off here - Tinder and Caribbean Cupid are your pipeline tools.

Jamaican girls don't like texting. I found once we had swapped numbers, she would call in response to a text, or just take the initiative and call. The has something to do with the directness of Ja - I recommend calling all the time!

Even if a girl likes you, she might not smile. Jamaicans don't smile a whole lot, especially in Kingston - so don't be put off if she's not sweetly smiling as you give your rap... she'll still take the time to talk, and exchange digits if she digs you, and will warm up later.

Social circle game is important here. So many dodgy fuckers in Ja, it's better for her if you're vouched for.
Plus, it's not entirely safe to head out to some parties totally solo.

Nightlife

For me nightlife was great. Clubs, bars, street parties, beach parties - there is so much going on, and nobody sits around in closed groups - everyone stands around, mingles and dances.
You can approach women easily without hassle in big open environments, intimate some rapport through dancing/wining and then talk/grab number/escalate there and then.
Generally folks don't go out until after midnight for dancing.

Instagram is king for information/upcoming parties.

Strip Clubs
Strip Clubs are also the best clubs in town. Both men and women/mixed groups or otherwise go to clubs like Taboo where where motto is "Strip Sip Tip".
I saw big groups of including hot chicks party and dance, whilst sliding notes into the panties of a toned goddess.

Logistics
Hotels generally don't care about bringing guests to your rook, unless you're at an all inclusive resort.
The Spanish Court in Kingston is the newest/most baller hotel in town and reasonably priced for the high rollers at $200 per night. The facilities here are top notch and she will race over to spend time with you there.

I found an apartment in New Kingston on Airbnb for $30 per night which was perfect.
New Kingston is the perfect location - in the central business area, close to Emancipation Park, etc.

If University day-game is your thing, you could also consider Mona in the posh uptown area, but it doesn't have much more value than than

Cities / Locations
Kingston: The capital and best for game, meeting women and establishing social circle. You can set yourself apart from the all inclusive drunk douches by being in Kingston.
Nightlife: Redbones, Macau, 100 Hope Road, Taboo (strip club), Acropolis Casino (club inside), ..... Usain Bolt's Track n Record sports bar is great too!
Events: Uptown Mondays street party, Wet Sunday (outdoor party every week)
Day-game: University of the West Indies, Sovereign Centre (Mall), Emancipation Park, m

Montego Bay; Second biggest city, with large tourism industry.
Somewhat boring city, but if you want to combine beach fun and reduced options go here.
Nightlife: Pier 1 - a great open air party environment. Lots of women!, Margaritaville (though there are lots of hos and tourists).
Hard Rock Cafe - upper class people go here. It's within a gated community with a private beach. Not very Rock n Roll but a lot of approachable higher class girls.

Negril: It's all about tourism here. Actually it's my favourite spot for a holiday. great beaches, restaurants, parties, etc. It's full of hos though, so be careful and ask the right questions, before inviting her home.
Nightlife: A plethora of options. Thursday night at Jungle is golden.
Day-game: The beach, restaurant/bar workers, etc.

Port Antonio: Not a spot for game and sparesely populated, however it is the most beautiful part of Jamaica with mountains, waterfalls, coves, etc.

Drugs
Two types of popular drugs are readily available, of extremely high quality and at very agreeable prices in Jamaica... the stuff Bob Marley liked, and the stuff Tony Montana liked. Be aware that both are illegal.
Though it's common to see folks smoking spliffs at the parties, on the beach or at the resort, just beware that it's not legal, nor is consumption tolerated in most places and the cops could do you in of they were so inclined..

DR/Colombia Comparison
Don't get me wrong, i love the DR and will be going back.... however generally speaking I had more success in Jamaica than the DR terms of receptiveness to approaches/number closing, dates, establishing solid social circle, and escalating to sex.
This might have something to do with being 1/4 West Indian, as my exotic factor was higher than the DR, where I simply looked local and had to explain my background from the back foot.
Also, I get more points in the West Indies for being Australian through cricket/Commonwealth.
Further, Jamaican women didn't tend to play games like Dominicanas, and subtle hints about money never entered the conversation, like they did in the DR.
Though DR chicas are smoking hot and sexual, etc, Jamaican women are straight down the line, more athletic and more appreciative and responsive to chivalry. A harder search for quality is certainly more rewarding.
Jamaican nightlife is much, much better than the DR and Colombia for many reasons, especially engaging and vibing with new people.
If I had a choice of the three, of course Colombia wins hands down. If Colombia ever got played out, I'd be hitting Ja' next.

When you say more athletic, do you mean that they can do more tricks in the bedroom than DR lizards or that they are just more apt in catching an outlet pass on the fast break and cutting to the basket for an easy two? [Image: icon_mrgreen.gif]

Great data sheet OP! Nice to see RVF guys heading down there, I haven't been in a few years but am itching to get back, its a great vacation destination for a week or two, did you find yourself getting bored after a few weeks down there? Its really too bad that Jamaica isn't bigger with more cities because it can at times seem like it really has a small town mentality, since the population is less than 3 million, or about the size of Medellin. I'd say that comparing it to Colombia is almost like apples and oranges due to the differences in population and land mass but Jamaica against the DR is fair and I would say that if a guy is more into black chicks and smoking weed and doesn't have strong Spanish then Jamaica wins.

I noticed that too, its actually pretty interesting to people watch down there and see Jamaicans interact, the guys really don't give a fuck and can be really fun, Jamaicans in general I find hilarious. One of my favourite things to do anywhere I can go is to get really stoned on weed and walk around talking and chatting to people and Jamaica is probably the best place in the world to do that!

I didn't get bored at all... It's a very diverse country especially contrasting the Portland area, Negril and Kingston. What I liked about girls in Ja is that they are pretty adventurous and down for hikes, swimming in falls, etc. In the DR I did that stuff solo as Dominicanas weren't so down for the great outdoors.
Agreed about the contrasting Colombia - but damn the girls in Ja bring something completely different but almost equally exciting to Colombianas.

Both...Jamaican chicks seem to value sports, and being toned and fit more than DR chicas. They kick ass at volleyball and netball and bring it with the bedroom effort.

Im thinking of going to Jamaica for 2 weeks. To me they are the most beautiful women in the world.

But the country seems pretty boring. I'd like to do some hiking as well. Is that possible, next to Blue Mountain?

What about travel? Are there good busses to travel inland?

And safetey? In another thread I read that it's not recommended to go out at night by yourself in Kingston. Is this true?

Good datasheet.

Check out crop over in Barbados if you like caribbean carnival, probably some of the hottest black girls I have ever seen but they certainly are not as easy as jamaican chicks.

Was the carnival in Jamaica really busy and fun?I have a jamaican friend who says that jamaicans only recently have started to celebrate carnival so not many people go to it, he is not a party animal so he probably has no clue what happens during carnival.
