Before it was one man women would get resources from, then The Govt stepped in to give resources to women, now with the Govt running on fumes the next step is to revert to men but fragment by using multiple men at a time to provide resources.
So it is likely then some type of bailout will happen as when in modern history have we allowed women to suffer en masse?
This has crossed my mind as well, and I think your instincts are correct. If you're a guy with substantial student loan debt and little hope of paying it off, this is a good thing for you. There's not much hope of a mass student loan bailout as things stand, but if the student loan issue becomes politicized as a feminist issue (as it is ripening to become), that will change. Once it comes to be seen as a barrier to gender equality and an anchor around the ankles of an already "marginalized group" (women), the calls to do something to alleviate it will grow and get more and more likely to actually result in something concrete. Highly indebted men will be the secondary beneficiaries of this effort to bail women out.
