Today I got an idea that for my friends sounded stupid. I was thinking to have an app to log all your approches to have track of your progress and how you are doing.
It would be possible to log other events like dates and lays for example.
The app could keep phones with geolocation and descriptions, in order to remember where you met the girl and how she looked like.

Then I've been thinking deeper in this. It could be for logging workouts and books. Something oriented to self-improvement for men.

It could have a beginner version with tips an challenges too.

Let me know what you think about it and if somebody would be willing to pay for such a service. I guess there would be other ways to monetize it like lead generation.

Certainly a market for that on this forum!

I don't know if you would get enough sales in the larger public community to recoup development costs however....

I've been planning to do something like this for personal use for ages... in my case to keep track of notches/flags with ages, attractiveness rating, stuff like this.

But for now I just keep an excel sheet and I'm really happy with it, I have stuff like "how I met her" graphs who tell me ratios of social/online/nightgame bangs for example.

But yeah, if you go the professional way cost will be higher than you expected, specially if you hire external people to develop it. If you are able to code a simple one yourself, why not.

Seems like it would only have a very specific, niche market. I would think about how to design an app that could be used for most of what you described, but could be used for other purposes as well, so you could broaden your market.

Why not just something for self improvement in general, which would allow you to set goals, track progress, keep track of key dates and such, that anyone could use for any type of goal?

What advantage are you expecting to get by tailoring it to only approaches? Do you really expect people to pay for this, or will it be a free service supported by ads, or other paid features? Just brainstorming things you should be considering. . . best of luck.

A while back a guy on here was working on a program like that, decked out with graphs and all that jazz. I can't find the thread, but it was an interesting idea.

I think you should keep it bare-bones though. Why bother with extraneous features like workout loggers when there are free alternatives solely for that? FitNotes is one that comes to mind.

I think you should do it. There's definitely a niche market for it.

OP, I think this is a great idea, especially the part about using GPS features and turning it into something of a game where guys have to achieve approach goals and what not.

I think you could also market the app to women specifically because of the GPS feature you mentioned so she can make keep track of the guys approaching them.

Honestly if you are serious about this then take the necessary steps to make it a reality. Just don't talk about it publicly so no one takes the idea.

Finally, there are many apps related to logging food, workouts, books read, and what not. Make this a specific idea related to meeting the opposite sex. That's just my opinion.

I use notepad on my android. I specify if the date/ethnicity of girl and reason why i got rejected. would be good if their was a app though

I got a better response than I thought.
I can code it myself. At least the MVP.

I can summerize the main points to log for a girl/approach:

Name
Age
Flag
Rating (0-9)
Scenario (social - online - daygame - nightgame)
Location
Timestamp
State (rejected - number - date (first, second, third) - kissed - banged)

I think the date should be logged too with:

venue type (bar - park - mall - etc)
location
timestamp

I can start working on this and it shouldn't take too long to be up and running. If you want to request more features just let me know.
