Starting a local porn production company like Brazzers

I've thought about the whole business.
As mentioned above, how many people actually pay for the stuff with so much free on the tube sites etc?

I understood how Vivid, Jenna Jameson, Ron Jeremy etc became rich before broadband and cheap hosting etc. But today, there are LOADS of companies, big and small, but how do they make money?

I know people who've made money in porn. But that was more "the olden days". And crime was never that far away. Atleast in the olden days, you could sell the softcore version to cable TV companies.

Vivid and the like seem to be involved in events and stuff. But how does that pay?
In the USA, I notice "starlets" might get a couple of hundred USD for a film performance but charge way more for escorting eg 1000usd per hour. Perhaps that is what funds some/much of it? Thats certainly the case in some countries. But most of these "porn stars" are anything BUT "stars".

I suppose virtual reality and niche markets MIGHT give some money... atleast for a very little while.

I know a guy who does this, i helped him with the tech side so I have a pretty good grasp of how it's done.

casting women = escorts, cam girls, strippers, sexyjobs.com, eastern europe, ocmodeling.com, hussiemodels.com, and many more adult model casting agencies. Bigger agencies will at first reject you if you have 0 content on your site so you'll need to get rolling with amateur girls. Not surprisingly lots of johns try to book porn star models for escorting which is something they don't like due to the risk and no fame benefit.

equipment = some high end sony camera that was about $3,0000, you could probably get by with a panasonic GH4, a pair of cheap 700w studio lights available on amazon

website = elevatedx.com which is like wordpress for adult sites, lets you setup membership, billing, trials, etc. Used by many big sites. Their server/hosting service is way overpriced, go with vultr.com or digitalocean.com instead

payments/merchant account = ccbill.com is what he uses, oldest and most stable with weekly payments but they charge a higher fee than most. The upside is 0 headaches and it's a trusted name among the few remaining people who pay for porn and is easy to setup with just about any website. There are other options but no sense in fiddling around to say 3% on fees

marketing = uploading clips to all the free porn tube sites, subreddits, forums, and making webm's to post on 4chan's /gif/. These places don't send much sales directly since they are 99% freeloaders but people searching through google for keywords will find them and he gets a lot of sales that way. A clip hosted on pornhub is 500% more likely to show up on the first page than if you hosted that video on your own site. He uses semrush to evaluate the big sites like pornhub, xvideos, etc and then filters by keywords for which ones he should use.

Is making porn DVD's and selling subscriptions to websites actually still lucrative? There is endless free steaming porn on adult sites. Those sites primarily just get paid by ads since they are covered head to toe in advertisements.

Some independent porn distributors have used the free porn sites as a lead generator for their paid stuff. They ain't living like Kings, but they are not answering to some pointy haired boss...

I looked in "talent" ads in CL because making porn movies is legal while hiring escorts isn't. There's like 100+ guys in there advertising the same thing. they see all the amateur porn on the internet and figure they might as well try to do it too.

I think it would be as hard as starting any other business with a lot more liability and workmen's comp issues. Imagine in court, you will ALWAYS be the one wrong when poor little misty sprains her ankle ( or claims she did. )

I get the impression most guys are just using it to pay to fuck women as opposed to having any serious intention of turning a profit or turning it into a real business.

I actually did this way back when, but my porn site was weak. I basically created a website dedicated to all the hip-hop based strip clubs in the USA, and you could read and write reviews for free, and there was a forum. Funny thing is girls started promoting their services in my forum. lol. I also had videos that I merely embedded from other websites that showed hip-hop type of girls dancing nude in various clubs, parties, music videos, etc. I didn't make much money at all, just enough to buy a round a groceries each month, because I did not charge for the site. I was worried that people would not want to pay for my weak amateur site that I created in my living room. My revenue came from advertisements, and I used JuicyAds and other third party sites to manage my ads. I had a full time job at the time, and then shut the site down for various reasons. It was fun though. I had quite a bit of users and visitors on a regular basis. I created and ran the site myself, and had to personally approve all club reviews before they were posted to block spam. To this day I still don't think there is another website up like mines that is dedicated to that niche. I have a tech background so it wasn't too bad for me getting the site up, just took time. I may relaunch the site one day, but I will need to make it mobile friendly because I created it before all the smartphones, apps, and iPads came out.

Big props to everyone ventured into this world. I've always wanted to get into the business consultant side of this helping people with a lot of the grey area in the adult industry similar to this guy out in Australia http://www.adultservicesaccounting.com.au

But with barely any experience, I'll sit in my cubicle until I get some more skills to branch out and set up shop in Arizona or Florida haha

Anyone knows if there's a possibility to monetize home-made porn with ads like one can do with videos on Youtube?

edit.
OK I've just done some quick research. Pornhub has a partner program which seems similar to the one Youtube offers. Here's the link: https://www.pornhub.com/partners/cpp However, I could not find how much $$ you can make per say 1000 views.

Saw this also in France, find on porn tubes some french amateur vids that were about 5mn long with some good action, then at the end they used to tell you "for more suscribe to our site...",.
Basically the same group of friends keep fucking pros and "women who want to try porn once in their boring life" I thought "there is no way guys be that thirsty to pay that much money to have access to some amateur vids".
The funny part is that the site got no longer new vids but still get subscriptions so... might be interesting to go in...

Tell them too much, they wouldn't understand; tell them what they know, they would yawn.
They have to move up by responding to challenges, not too easy not too hard, until they paused at what they always think is the end of the road for all time instead of a momentary break in an endless upward spiral

If you can produce high quality content, someone will buy it and utilize it.

The problem is most people can't even make a freaking professional sounding podcast let alone a decent looking and sounding porno.

The big money in this industry as long as you are not the owner of a website like YouPorn or Pornhub is not the production of porn it is buying banner space on these sites and generate sales from the traffic.

Excoclick and TrafficJunky are huge media companies brokering these spaces.

The business model in a nutshell is like this:

1. Have a product to sell. Usually these products are penis enlargement rebill offers or membership to dating websites.

2. Build a landing page/order page for your product

3. Create ad creatives

4. Buy banners space via brokers like Exoclick or if you big enough get a direct deal.

5. Track everything with a tracking tool like Voluum and optimize accordingly.

6. Make more money from your products than you pay for media buys = PROFIT

I met guys at conferences who are making $10k per day with this. However this space is really competitive and you need a lot of cash to buy banner space. Not a field where a beginner can start easily.

Yea CPA offers are hot but the guys making money with it are the guys who were at the front of the "step 1 -acai berry, step 2 - colon cleanse" weight loss blogs. They have years and years of experience in optimizing and tweaking ads to make them profitable and still dump $10-$20k just testing a campaign and then can burn $30k a day to make $10k a day, I don't think the average rvf member can get up to that level in less than a year or so. Not to mention trafficjunky is notorious for flat our ripping off your campaigns and running it themselves and since they are the traffic broker everyone lets them get away with it and they can run it profitably far longer than any affiliate could.

I still have no idea who actually pays for porn

I've seen high quality VR porn from just a Samsung S8 into a GearVR and it's a game changer for that industry. Guys will have no problem paying for it. Its that much better than anything else out there to the point where I don't see a future for normal porn. I think it's going to have such an impact there will be effects on men and women dynamics long term as it really gets going and matures because guys are rather going to jerk off to that than trying to get laid with some 5 at a club. I can see this taking some power away from your everyday women at some point because the of ease of having a pornstar at your fingertips who is way above any girl the average guy can get. At the same time this could spiral into bad situation for men and women in general(sort of like what goes on in Japan). The real question is if the tech gets to a point where you can stream live with girls and interact.

Apparently it's very difficult to implement well at this stage so it's not like some guy buying a $2,000 camera, doing a basic edit on Adobe Premiere and uploading the footage. The thing helping VR porn probably the most from piracy is the size of the files are massive(I've seen 10 GB files for a scene) so the pirated tubes sites are behind on being able to delivery this quality.

That's my how-to-get-laid-with-hot-girls-in-the-prime for my 60+ year old self.

It's a nice business to filter highly sexualized girls who have x-time the libido of the average woman out there. There was even a former porn-star and producer who did this in the 2000s in the Czech Republic. He did it while looking like a well-kept grey-haired half-bald guy in his 70s.

Even with his looks he could find girls who were sort of into him, because he simply found the ones at the 1/10.000 level of libido of the female population. Also he had some Game and was wealthy at least to the girls he found there - Paul Merkham

NSFW.....

Or you could do it while looking like a hot 60yo - either way it is a form to get laid - you cannot do daygame as a 60yo anymore - no matter how hot you look - unless you look like 38.

But this fulfills the purpose as well.

I think the next big thing in porn will be the Netflix model. Pay 10 bucks a month and you get access to every premium porn video from all the studios. Unless someone has already done that.

There are many smaller studios that make custom porn. The customer dictates themes, dialogue and so on. You can't torrent a clip where your favorite pornstar moans "Fuck me hard, BelyyTigr" while wearing a cow costume nor can you find that on any porn streaming sites. The same principle works even more in webcam modeling and that's exactly why many pornstars have moved to that. You can't get that kind of live performance/interaction from Pornhub. Then they also have subscription services (kind of like Patreon) for thirsty guys who will pay X amount of dollars every month to see new nudes and/or short videos every day. On top of all these there's escorting AKA whoring that makes them thousands per hour.

I get the feeling that for many pornstars the porn itself works only as an advertisement for the previously mentioned ventures. Some guy is surfing Redtube, comes across a girl he likes in some Brazzers video, finds her on webcam sites and gives her tips, starts paying her 10 bucks a month to get "exclusive" photos, and then finally spends 2500 bucks to fuck her for an hour. Something like that.

Sounds like this was the saving grace after the Pornhub induced crash of the industry. Bespoke porn, if you can get good clients and have a diverse roster of contractors, could be a good opportunity at this time to get into the game.

Fuck that.

Just move to Latin America or Eastern Europe and open a webcam studio. Hire hot girls, help them set up and maintain their profiles, split the profits, sit back and enjoy the complementary blowjobs while laughing your way to the bank. At least to me it seems that bespoke porn production would yield hell of a lot more headaches than running a comfy webcam studio. And if the girls are talented, they can keep the Omega Olivers hooked and extract more money in the long run. There's a lot of ways to boost the income on cam sites like listing the highest tippers (money, not fedora) in the girl's profile as "boyfriends", selling Snapchat adds, selling the girl's phone number, selling used panties etc. When thirsty guys start competing against each other to win some cam whore's affection, it's truly a sight to behold:

One token is 10 cents so that guy gave her $4000 like it was nothing. All he gets is a smile, a "thank you", and that's it. [Image: tard.gif]

Potential negatives: local criminal organizations might not be too welcoming and in the end you would still be running a female-dominated company with all the problems that follow.

Guys who believe that advances in technologies for the adult entertainment industry will somehow force women to the relationship table when men become less interested in sex with a living female are mistaken. History shows that only one thing effects women's behavior - poverty.

Why would any woman that has her material and economic needs met care about being with a man that would otherwise prefer porn? Not getting laid is a far bigger problem for men than for women.

If you want women's behavior to change, repeal the legislation our beta fathers white-knighted for and take away daddy government's social programs which support, encourage and incentivizes women's eat-pray-fuck carousel riding lifestyles.

Men that opt for porn over pussy are betas that couldn't get it to begin with. Would you care if a fat ugly bitch didn't want to fuck you? No. So don't expect women to care if they lose out on men they'd never look twice at.

As far as starting your own porn paysite if you don't know much about this I guarantee you will fail or lose money. Do yourself a favor and sign up for another paysites affiliate program and send them sales (earn 50% with no risk). If you can't do this your marketing skills are not good enough to promote your own sites. The other half is shooting the content. The best selling content will be found by you hiring your own girls (which is a skill in itself). If you can do this and sell the content to other people you have the other half nailed down. There is a huge demand for content like this, but not that great of a demand for washed up porn skanks everyone has seen on other sites. Typically someone is good at one thing or the other and hardly ever both. I personally know people who have been in the business for 20+ years and still don't do very sell shooting+selling their own stuff.

Yes they are picky and will only deal with legit directors. A famous pornstar will fuck on video with a director whos legit for $1,000 give or take, but if it's some whore monger she will charge $5-10k for what she calls a "private sessions".

That's what I am saying - you filter tremendously for sexual libido and daddy issues - nothing does it so well than girls who actually want to do porn despite all the long-term consequences to her life.

----------------

As for porn stars - THE ABSOLUTELY OVERWHELMING MAJORITY OF GIRLS ARE ONE AND DONE GIRLS OR do a few scenes and then it's over. They won't differentiate between a super-legit producer and a barely profitable one. There is also some turnover with sites being created and disappearing.

Most of the girls who are at the big agencies are 90% less attractive than the constant newcomers who are out within 1-2 months. And the porn industry knows is which explains why they try to get girls in, have her do some scenes which still look like sex before she becomes another botoxed-coke-whore with fake breasts like the rest of them.
