CNN claimed that Sean Hannity pulled a gun on Juan Williams after an argument, citing “three sources with knowledge of the incident”. Hannity and Williams both said that nothing like that ever happened, but that didn't stop the writer from "standing by" his fake story, even after being corrected.

After the New York Times issued a retraction to the often repeated claim that 17 U.S. Intelligence agencies claim that the Russian government “Hacked The Election” – the Russia narrative is dead.

New York Times Retraction: “A White House Memo article on Monday about President Trump’s deflections and denials about Russia referred incorrectly to the source of an intelligence assessment that said Russia orchestrated hacking attacks during last year’s presidential election. The assessment was made by four intelligence agencies — the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National Security Agency. The assessment was not approved by all 17 organizations in the American intelligence community.”

Three journalists quit CNN in fallout from retracted Russia story

The story tried to draw a link between Scaramucci and the Russian Direct Investment Fund. Scaramucci was a Trump transition team member who has been nominated to an ambassadorial-level post based in Paris.

The CNN.com article said that Scaramucci, back in January, held a secret meeting with an official from the Russian fund. According to an unnamed source, Scaramucci discussed the possibility of lifting U.S. sanctions at the meeting.

But Scaramucci told me there was no secret meeting. He said he had given a speech on Trump’s behalf at Davos, and fund official Kirill Dmitriev approached him in a restaurant to say hello and they had a brief conversation, with no discussion of sanctions.

Meta fake news from last year:

Quote:Quote:

Here is some some news that got memory-holed a few months back, but relevant now with Don Jr. and his emails.

This information was first published on a Wordpress site that is deliberately low-brow in design, and the technical analysis is solid. Site is linked below. It an obvious partial effort to replicate the tone of an imageboard like 4chan while not actually being convincing in that regard. It is exactly what an otherwise typical person would do if they wanted to hide in the noise of the internet while disseminating valuable information.

There is strong evidence that DNS logs relating to a corporate Trump domain name were forged by a security researcher and deep state affiliate named April Lorenzen (likely alias Tea Leaves). Those logs were the basis for the original Trump-Russia-Server hoax and were probably used by the previous administration as pretense to surveille Trump and associates.

Timeline:

June 2016 and prior -- dates of the forged DNS logs
2016, summer -- time period during which FISA warrants reportedly were obtained
October 2016 -- Clinton campaign starts the Alfa Bank server hoax
November 2016 -- Clinton loses election, Obama admin starts seeding leaks
January 2017 -- Obama orders collected intelligence on Trump and associates to be distributed maximally throughout the government

No credible independent expert has come forward to confirm the authenticity of those logs because they are obviously not authentic. The government and its contractors are full of people who are overconfident because they are technically literate only in an administrative sense. It is entirely feasible that April Lorenzen or an associate would falsify documents that do not stand up to forensic analysis.

Examples of Fake News

This is an excellent example of how fake news is such a reality in our world. All one has to do is look at the stories under the microscope, and it’s obvious what's going on.

The following was a story aired last night (July 12) on the CBS Evening News. It’s an “investigative” piece on the alleged Trump/Russia connection.

First, give it a viewing:

Now, what is relevant is not what was included in the story, but what wasn't included. Did you notice the middle-aged guy giving his opinion on the subject of the report?

Well, it's standard practice and good journalistic form to subtitle the name of the individual being interviewed on screen so as to explain their relevance to the story. But this was not done. All you are seeing is a neat-but-casual looking guy with a collection of out of focus video screens behind him -- which implants the subconscious image that he's a professional journalist or a “trusted source” for the options he is presenting.

The only thing that is given verbally to the audience, and quickly, is his name and his occupation as “hedge fund manager.” The verbal explanation as to his relevance to the story is that he “pushed for the [U.S. Government] sanctions and calls her [the Russian lawyer the story is about] a ‘formidable adversary.’”

So who is this guy? Who is the only individual being interviewed for this story with so much authority?

Well, his name is Bill Browder. He’s head of a company called Hermitage Capital Management. Browder was once a big buddy of the Russians and made a lot of money with them over many years. But unfortunately for him, and his investors, he ran afoul of the authorities over allegations of tax evasion. Putin even banned him from the country for being a “security risk.”

Anyway, there is a lot more to the back-story of Browder and his Russian dealings (see links below). But it’s painfully obvious that this guy has an ax to grind with the Russians, and his options are about as far from objective as you can get. This is not only never mentioned in the story, but CBS avoided making it easy to identify him. As they know, almost nobody is going to re-wind the video and pick up on the guy’s name and check out who he is.

The whole thing is insidious and, sadly, common. It’s a glaring example of what we are all now calling FAKE NEWS.

Fortunately, we live in the Age of the Internet. The red pills are being swallowed by the thousands every day.

Examples of Fake News

My favorite example of fake news will always be the case of Falcon Heene, more commonly known as "Balloon Boy." Falcon is my personal hero for life. Here is the clip on CNN when Falcon says, "We did this for a show."

Incidentally, here is what Falcon has been up to more recently. I bet he becomes a real player:

Here's another classic example of fake news. This guy pranked ABC News. Al Michaels explained it to Peter Jennings:

Here is the guy who made the call talking with Howard Stern about it. The guy made the call because he was pissed that NBC cut off a game in the NBA finals in order to cover the Bronco chase:

The fart by Falcon right after he spills the beans is priceless. That and the moment the dad realizes he's fucked.

Very fitting for this piece of media hysteria fake news is the interview being conducted by Wolf Blitzer.

Funny thing is, sounds like they got what they wanted in the end.

"The story gained great popularity on the Internet and Twitter, and was later adapted into a musical comedy called "Balloon Boy: The Musical" by Billy Recce."

CNN, MSNBC Cover Trump’s TV Habits During NYC Explosion

Authorities apprehended a terrorist suspect Monday after he orchestrated an explosion in downtown Manhattan, but CNN and MSNBC decided to pivot from the breaking news to cover a much more pressing story: President Donald Trump’s TV habits and love of Diet Coke.
