I recommend checking Jetairfly if anyone is looking for cheap flights from Brussels to Florida/Cancun/Cuba/DR.
You can hunt some serious bargains at low season and they do not overcharge for one way tickets.
Examples:
Brussels-Miami one-way 165 euro
Brussels-Varadero one-way 149 euro
Cancun-Brussels one-way 299 euro

Emirates is really nice for first class. I booked it a couple years back by transferring points from Alaska Air, I don't think that deal is possible anymore though.
For business class Cathay Pacific and EVA Air are really nice and similar in quality. Food is really good on both. United has okay business class but their flight attendants are disgusting looking. Qatar Airways and Lufthansa also have good business class with plenty of room.
Cathay Pacific has pretty nice economy. I haven't actually flown Norwegian Air but I know they're super cheap if you fly from the east coast of the US to Europe.
I usually fly business class for long-haul overseas flights and just book whatever is available from either OneWorld or Star Alliance. I transfer AMEX points to OneWorld and Chase points to Star Alliance. If I'm unable to use points to book business class then usually I look for cheap flights on Expedia.com. These days I prefer to pay a little bit more than using some ghetto airline, as it's not worth the risk of them losing my luggage.
Try to avoid AirAsia and any Spanish or Italian airline if possible. Iberia is the worst airline, probably worse than American companies.

I don't live near a hipster enclave where I can fly virgin, or southwest so I'm limited to 'the usual suspect' for USairlines.
I prefer United over Delta, I don't mind it but I also have the mindset of not trusting any of the airline staff, talking the talk and always having a plan B. Get flight apps for your phone as they will update with FAA information on delays, cancelation and gate changes before the in airport screens do or gate agents announce it.

My commute between Thailand and Vancouver, Canada;
My first choice is Japan Air.
Second choice & almost tied for first place Korean Air.
Chine Eastern Air can go Fuck Themselves. Never again.
Domestic Flights in Canada; I pick Westjet over Air Canada.
How are you guys using from the West Coast (Vancouver, Seattle, Los Angeles) to S.E.A.?

Jetblue and Southwest are pretty kickass. And cheap as a mofo.
