Young women are now a ‘high-risk group’ for mental illness

Found this over on the Guardian (yeah - I know) https://www.theguardian.com/mental-healt...al-illness

Quote:Quote:

The statistics from NHS Digital show that more than one in four women aged 16-24 reported symptoms of common mental health conditions the previous week – a rise from 21% when the study was last carried out in 2007. Young women were three times as likely as men to report such symptoms, with rates of 9% among males of the same age, the figures show.

To red-pillers I'm sure none of this is surprising - substitute women's traditional life path of marriage, motherhood and home-making with credentials, career and the cock carousel and you are bound to produce all sorts of psychological issues. What is striking to me is the speed with which this malaise is spreading in younger women;

Quote:Quote:

Worryingly, in this age group, reports of self-harm in women had trebled to almost 20% between 2000 and 2014. This figure rose to one in four in self-completed questionnaires. Often they were suffering from anxiety or depression.

The article trots out all the boilerplate reasons for this - everything except the obvious, that is.

I think this is something to watch. I'm becoming more and more convinced that the 'turning' of our society towards a more traditional model will be led by men, but at the behest of women. The men are checking out and in response the women are cracking up, and it's now close to a critical mass of them. Women live most of their lives not in the real world, but in their own head; in a world of their own making. Well, the feminist dream is making that world a sick place - and the only cure is masculinity.

Gee, I wonder if there is any correlation to "one in four women raped" statistic.

A failing healthcare system invents a study showing that more people need their services. I wouldn't trust that data. Let me guess, this will be followed by requests for money for mental health treatment.

They even brought out an article saying shift work affects womens fertility.

Also, on a somewhat related note; Tara Palmer Tomkinson found dead. A life of riding many a A/B/C/D celebrity dick, alcohol and drug abuse. Used as a role model for many middle class women. This country is pathetic.

The laughable irony here is that every other British agency under the sun has been encouraging young women to get out there and take those nasty shifts!!!!

Of course it compromises their fertility, but I already see who the scapegoats will be = men.

This all comes back to the victim Olympics. Society has created a culture where it is "trendy" to have a mental disorder. Its a win-win for girls. Having a hip mental disorder lets them hamster away bad decisions, while adding a dimension to their otherwise bland personality.

You could also argue that the DSM's ever expanding scope of what constitutes a mental disorder is to blame.

Who would have thought that too much booze, too many cocks, not enough sleep due to careerism, feminism, etc would be bad for a girl's mental health? The researchers really scammed the living daylights out of whomever provided the grant money. Good lord, we do peer-researched studies all the time on ROK and RVF, and we've never been compensated! I guess you-go-girlism and feminsm really isn't so great. Funny, we've been told motherhood is sexist and oppressive, but most of the housewives/traditional mothers I see are happy, psychologically healthy, vibrant and beautiful. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why.

Women can only run from nature for so long before feeling the negative side-effects of trying to outsmart God.

Trendy for women, yes. If you're on a date with a girl you actually want to bang, then as a man you had better hide any signs of mental illness even if yours was genuine and not just your average girl crying to her doctor because she picked the wrong major or fucked too many guys or waited too long to have kids (that is NOT clinical depression, it's normal sadness, regret and malaise for stupid decisions being reclassified as an illness by the DSM and society as a whole).

Normal mental consequences of making shitty decisions and being a shitty person are now being directed to doctors instead of to a responsible self who is willing and able to self-correct. For a woman the decision is almost a no-brainer. Keep it to yourself and get no attention, support, special treatment etc. Go cry to a psychiatrist, to your parents, to your friends, to your orbiters, and you get free attention, support and special treatment left right and center. You also get to blame all of your self-inflicted mistakes, flaws and failures on "muh depression".

Men in first-world countries might be able to get some pills and see a psychologist, but there is still no escaping the dehumidifying effect on the pussy. It doesn't matter if your entire family has died in a plane crash, you have clinical depression and you're weak. Pill pushers and psychologists might not tell you that, but women (even those who are "depressed" themselves) will simply not fuck you if you are still heavily afflicted by those kinds of mental illness. As men we either take responsibility for our own happiness and pull ourselves out of it, or we get jack shit.

Women have the ability to pin the responsibility on something other than themselves, and as long as they have a vagina being depressed doesn't matter all that much to most guys. Looks are everything. Heck it can even turn some white knights on even more, the whole vulnerability thing. Shy, quiet, anxious dude --> "ewww"... Shy, quiet, anxious girl --> "awww" ... and queue the white knight, NAWALT brigade.

If women report depression almost 3 times as much as men, why do 3-4x men kill themselves? This would suggest a depressed man is 10x more likely to actually kill himself than a depressed woman. Women do way more suicidal gestures that they know will not end in death, but will get a hell of a lot of attention. Men who are depressed tend to have a lot less to live for, have more severe symptoms, but there is no point in telling many people as there is not much anyone can do. Pills are very limited in efficacy and can make things worse in many cases, and psychology is full of blue pill, wishy washy bullshit that is probably of comfort to some women, but doesn't contain the sort of information a man needs to sort out his problems, which tend to be vast and many if he's in the anglosphere.
