I've got a 34" ultrawide with a 32 inch television above it. I'd recommend getting actual computer monitors, as the television pixelation is meant for viewing at a distance and can get quite distorted. I'm never going back to anything smaller than ultrawide though, can do so much more work, and have tons of real estate for pretty much anything you want to do.

I had an ultra wide 21:9 aspect ratio monitor before from LG. Works great for Word docs, spreadsheets and web viewing. The problem is that if you open large construction plans, you don't have enough vertical depth to see them all at once without scrolling or zooming out as much. The bottom line is, monitor purchases should be based up on the end-use application. Each user's needs are different.
