So I just got back from almost having sex with a girl once again. I fingered her, did all I wanted to do, but when it came time to actually put my penis in her vagina, I couldn't get hard.

I've been dealing with erectile problems for a few years now, but without going on about what the causes may be, I'd just like to ask can I count this as a new notch or not?

A notch is when you put your hard dick in the pussy. It doesn't matter if you cum or not, as long as you get in, you're fine.

Next time, if you have trouble, pop a viagra before meeting the girl.

So, no.

Not a notch. You have to actually get it in to count.

Plenty of us have been in your position. I had an opportunity last summer, but I had too much to drink and thus... Whiskey dick. I was as close as you can get...Trying to ram my semi hard dick inside her vagina. Just wasn't happening. She would have been Notch #30 at the time, so trust me I wanted it to happen so I could count it. But it didn't. Some other lucky lady became #30 a few weeks later.

I count anal as a notch too. I've hooked up with a girl who didn't want to have vaginal sex without a condom but was down for anal. I count that.

If you are having erectile problems there could be a few factors. We'd need more details. Do you watch porn and masturbate often? How much? Nerves can also cause erection issues with new women, as well as Low T. Get your testosterone levels checked at the doctor.

My definition is slightly different. You have to get your pee pee in the hooha AND you have to jizz. The jizz component can subsequently happen in her mouth, ass or hand but it has to happen for it to count.

If I dont jizz...what's the point?...I might as well have stayed home and not jizzed

OP...This is not a notch

PS There's no reason this day and age with everything thats available to suffer with ED.

I don't count cumming as a notch. What if I have a ONS with a girl I met at a club and we go back to my place and bang porno-style for 2 hours in every position and I have extreme whiskey dick and can't cum? That means I didn't get the notch? Pshhhhhhhh

If I dont jizz it doesn't count for me. Just my personal positition statement.

EDIT: Ive stated in numerous posts that there is no such thing as "number closing" or "kiss closing"....those are just steps in the "sales" process

"Closing" is fucking. And to me the jizzing is the "close" of fucking.

Thanks for the responses guys. This ED is really a bummer, I've lost a few notches as well as flags because of it. This girl was supposed to be my first tinder lay. We literally texted for like 3 minutes before she said she wanted to get fucked and invited me over.

My personal definition of a notch is penis has to enter vagina, without necessarily cumming. I'd have a few more notches if it was just a matter of us being naked and about to have sex, but I agree, if dick doesn't enter it doesn't count.

I am pretty sure my ED is caused by one or a combination of three things:

1. I'm a heavy smoker and have been for about 4 years now.

2. I'm at least 80 lbs overweight. I have a lot of muscle, but I still weigh 300 lbs at 6'2''

3. I watch a lot of porn and jack off to it at least twice a day, sometimes as many as 5-6 times a day.

I've decided it's time to get all of these things handled, but I am still going to look into getting Viagra in the meantime because this is a shitty situation to be in. Does anyone know, is Viagra by prescription only? Also, how much does it cost?

Not sure about smoking, but being overweight can severely impact your hormone levels. 300 lbs @ 6'2 is not good.

Also, frequent masturbation (2 or more times a day) and even more so frequent consumption of pornography can have an absolutely brutal effect on your libido. Sometimes 5-6 times a day? You are killing your ability to get aroused and have an orgasm with real life women.

Not saying you should completely stop masturbating 100%, but read this thread:

thread-12879.html

Losing weight and cutting way back on the self-pleasure will work wonders for you. I masturbate but only a few times times a week at most and even on days when I jerk off I can see it has an effect on my sexual performance if I'm with a girl later that day/night.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

First, cut down the fapping. I'm not saying go cold turkey all at once (only if you think you can), but make drastic cuts to porn consumption and jerking. It fucks with your brain and can lead to increased nervous anticipation before you meet a girl, which can fuck with your wood.

Losing weight will definitely help you maintain erections for longer periods of time. High blood pressure can disrupt blood flow. When you add that to nervous energy, your dick won't get hard.

I came to the conclusion years ago that No Fap was not something that I wanted to pursue. I have an overactive sex drive as it is, and I get a little crazy after a few days of not cumming. Plus I think over time penis size can shrink slightly with no fap. That being said, as of today I am officially going to stop watching porn entirely. I am seriously addicted to porn and fetish porn at that, so I think when it comes to a real life girl I have trouble getting turned on because I'm used to such crazy shit I see online. Also what I will do is limit myself to only jacking off once a day, which may sound like a lot to some, but it is definitely a major cut back for me.

About the weight, I totally agree. The reason I can't decide exactly what it is that caused the ED is because I essentially started doing everything that is bad for erection quality at the same time, including gaining weight. I do remember, however, that when I was 240 lbs (keep in mind I'm pretty muscular) I could get and keep a rock hard erection no problem.

Thanks for the advice, I will keep it in mind.

I'm no doctor, but it totally sounds like an issue of unhealthy living. You need to start smoking, eat healthier and lose some weight. Also making sure you get quality sleep will do wonders. Are you working out at all? Lifting weights will help with your T levels. As others have already stated the porn isn't helping either.

It sounds like you know what you have to do. Are you willing to do it?

I honestly think cutting out porn and cutting back on masturbation will make a huge improvement in itself.

The weight loss is an all encompassing life change. Will improve hormone levels and sexual performance, but will also generally improve you overall health and self image.

Doesn't Count.

1. Stop smoking.
2. Stop fapping.
3. Deprogram your mind from porn.
4. Start eating right.
5. Start lifting.
6. Start doing cardio.

Does it count as a notch? No, and I think you knew that already.

The real issue here is why you needed to ask that question. Do you want validation from dudes on the internet, or sex with real life women?

There are a number of different factors that can cause an automobile accident (e.g. texting, drinking/drug use, tiredness, inattention, etc.) The more risk factors present, the higher probability for an accident -- same with your situation. Any ONE of the things you mentioned could be enough to make "rising to the occasion" more difficult, but once you start compounding the risk factors, it shouldn't come as any great surprise when you run into trouble.

As others have said, quit smoking, lose some weight, and reduce the fapping. Then, you'll just have nerves to overcome -- which can be enough of a bitch in itself, but at least you've got a whole hell of a lot better chance at being able to make it happen that way.

Maybe there can be degrees of accomplishment.
  • Almost-notch: She was gonna let you bang her, but you couldn't get hard. (Still, how do you know that there wasn't some more LMR ahead, right before the actual moment of penetration? Therefore, this could actually be a Schrödinger's notch, whose lack of being a true notch would only have become evident if you had actually attempted to measure her true willingness to bang in the surest way possible.)
  • Notch: Banged her.
  • Super-notch: Banged her without a condom AND came inside of her.
  • Mega-notch: Banged her without a condom AND came inside of her AND impregnated her AND she gave birth to your live, healthy baby and, having fallen in love with you, faithfully devoted herself to you for the rest of her life. (Thus, it may take years to conclusively prove it was truly a mega-notch, rather than just a super-notch.)
We could even come up with a combined point-scoring system, where you take the sum of each notch multiplied by her number on the 1-10 scale. Except that I think someone said that banging two 5's doesn't equal banging one 10, so I guess it would be necessary to use some sort of logarithmic or square root function where the value of each notch rapidly diminishes as the HB rating decreases from 9. If we're using notch count as a measure of how much experience a guy has and therefore how comfortable he would be approaching a 9, then this might make sense.

Other factors could also be taken into consideration in coming up with a formula, such as, was she a virgin? Did she let you do whatever you wanted (including anal)? Etc. Especially if we're using notch count to figure out how much game someone has, or how alpha they are, since a lot of girls will give a beta only plain vanilla sex, and only after she's done riding the carousel.

On the other hand, there's something to be said for simplicity and objectivity in measurements (which is why it's sometimes been proposed that even the HB scale be simplified just to WB or WNB, although then one needs to take into account borderline cases such as slump-busters.) Such a complicated world we live in.

All of these guys have it totally wrong.

You need to condition your mind to associate certain stimuli with the state of being erect.

From now on when you jerk your meat I want you to put Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" on a loop on your iPod and listen to it until you reach completion.

Do this for a month and remember to bring your iPod on your dates. When you get them back to your place, dim the lights, play a little Celine and you'll bust out a rock hard boner every time.

Don't believe me? Ask Pavlov's dog!

Just fucking with you. These guys have nailed it, but start on half a dick pill at max. They can have a fair bit of kick for the uninitiated.

The public will judge a man by what he lifts, but those close to him will judge him by what he carries.
