Ever since airlines started charging for extra baggage, I've been wishing they would penalize fatties. Weight at liftoff directly influences the amount of fuel used during the flight. I wouldn't mind paying say, $0.10 per lb of bodyweight. Better, make it a scaling function: first 100 lbs free, $0.20/lb after.
