Short term AirBnB and Sex. All systems go?

Is it okay to get an AirBnB Private place and do all the evil deeds you wish as long as you leave the property in a manner you found it? I would like to get one in Thailand and bringing girls home to it is definitely something I would prefer to be allowed.

Any thoughts?

Never had any issues. Though you might want to make sure the listing doesn't say something like "no guests allowed," so they don't have an excuse to kick you out.

This is the place I would like to stay. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/4825297?che...s=2&s=NjqL

Doesn't seem to be an issue I suppose! Great!

Shouldn't be a problem but remember that if you're staying in an apartment complex to respect your neighbours, they are people who have normal lives and aren't going to be happy if you're blasting music at 2am and making noise, they aren't on vacation, they have to get up at 7am. Also, if you are going to be bringing multiple girls into your place and the building has a security guard, make sure that you grease him with a few bucks, trust me, in a hairy situation the security guard can be your best friend.

Good point on the security guard. I have no intention of music and parties in the place. Just a home base to leave my belongings and to feel like a king in a pallace for a bit before I go back to hostel life haha

Love motels exist for a reason, especially in 3rd world countries for people who live with family to get away for a romp, but in your case they serve the purpose you're looking for. While I'd never suggest staying in a hostel if banging girls is a priority, they also serve a purpose for the budget minded traveler. You can get a motel in Thailand for a under a thousand Baht for a few hours, complete with ceiling mirrors, sex swings and a mini-bar, if all you're are looking for is a safe spot to bang the brains out of a Thai scut bag, then that's the route I'd go, leave your shit at the hostel.

I haven't really found much mention of this on the forum. Since I'm going to Brazil, would it be best to go ahead and get a hotel or could I get away with renting an entire apartment? Also, what should I look for when trying to pick a airbnb if I can go the airbnb route?

Generally, an airbnb will offer more privacy and flexibility. You just need to read the "house rules" closely. If there's any mention or allusion to extra guests not being allowed, then skip it.

Even those that only say "no prostitutes allowed" should be skipped, even if you do do not do pros.
Mainly because such accommodations will very likely treat every girl you bring like a prostitute, and fuck up the whole vibe.

I always rent an entire apartment alone. I never do shared apartments, except it's shared with people I know.

If the listing is vague about it, ask them directly. Better safe than setting yourself up for blue balls.

I've lived off airbnb for years now never had an issue in any country, ever and brought guests (both girls and friends in town) all the time.

I respectfully disagree with Poseidon. I feel if you ask about unregistered guests etc, you're going to freak out the owners, its not necessary. Maybe in Colombia its different but in Mexico, Thailand, Phillippines, Brazil never had an issue despite them saying "no guests, no prostitutes etc." The owners usually live faraway and don't really have any way to stop you from bringing guests in

All those "house rules" about no unregistered guests no parties etc etc, aren't really enforced really ever. Specifically because if they messed with you, you could leave a bad review and the owners really fear the nuclear option because it could hurt their livelyhood. Only in the worst of situations would an owner give you crap like if you had a big party or something.

The worst that ever happened to me was the owner "kindly asked" that I keep the noise down because some girl was screaming so loud it woke up the entire apartment complex lol, that was a proud day for me.

The "rules" are just kind of a reminder to you not to be a duschbag.

NOTE: In Phillipines and Thailand its not uncommon if you're staying in a hotel or very large building that you may need to sign a girl in, but trust me, she won't give a crap shes used to it. You can avoid that by staying in a smaller building without a concierge or porter, but sometimes having one is not bad because if you end up with a crazy stalker she won't be able to reach your apartment without the porter/concierge letting her up.

p.s. Referring to renting out an apartment. I've only done private rooms a few times in Europe, and 99% of the time the owners would not be cool with you bringing in random chicks (its reasonable, if you were renting a private room in your house would you be cool with someone staying there letting in random hos that could steal your shit?). If you can't afford a full airbnb or hotel I would just go the hostel/love motel route as mentioned here. Private room you get the worst of both worlds, at least at a hostel you might be able to meet some girls even if fucking logistics are bad.

Honestly, it all really depends on what kind of vibe and "looks" the girl is giving off in SEA countries. I've never seen one girl in BKK be asked to sign in at any place I've stayed at (hotel / apartment) except for a busted 4.5 girl that looked like your typical thai isaan chick that I pulled off online at 3 AM.

Don't sweat it. FYI never trust their "walk times" to the BTS, cause a 7 minute walk sounds good in theory but is a hot sweaty mess. Unless you plan on taking uber / taxi everywhere. Also gonna disagree with other posters here if your looking for local 7+ girl, taking them to a motel would be an instant turnoff and maybe cost you the bang. For your typical 5's and possibly 6's probably won't hinder at all.

I saw that listing, any reason you want a 2 BR? A 1 BR / studio is more then enough. I'd find a better spot for logistics then pay extra for more space but thats just me.

Anyone has ever been cockblocked if you rent your own private room in an entire apartment ( So the host is basically living in the same apartment as you)?

I'm planning to do that for the next few months during my travels in SEA because i'm on a limited budget.

Dude sex is a basic human need, a landlord whos gonna cockblock you will get shit reviews from tenants. It's basically a self-automation process, rent pads which have 4.5 stars or higher.

Usually landlords who dont want this sort of stuff happening only rents out to families or single females. I have a pad on airbnb which I rent out regularly, I don't rent it out to single guys because its inside a very conservative community. I can't have my tenant getting beaten. I politely tell the guys straight out about the situation. On my other pads I don't follow this process.

I've never done it, but....

I can't imagine someone who you are sharing a home with being thrilled about the idea of a new stranger coming over multiple times a week.

Think of them as having a roommate who is not game aware and may be apprehensive about it.

Basically, I would tread very cautiously.

I've done that a few times and only one time did it work well. The other few ended up in awkward situations, to say the least.

If you're going to do it, make sure you clarify with the host that guests are ok. Talk about partying, going on dates, etc.

If the host baulks, then don't book with them.

BTW, how cheap are you rolling? I see apartments under $500 USD per month in a number of SEA cities on Airbnb.

It's always worth it to spend an extra couple hundred on a private spot if you're staying a month - and I'm pretty budget conscious.

The most airbnb's I'm looking at at the moment are mentioning clear on their rules : no parties or events. It's not my goal to give houseparties or something, but just bring girls often to my place to chill, swim a bit ( if there's a pool) and bang them off course.

I would not like to spend more than $500 USD a month. I find a few studio's in BKK or Manila who are below $500 but they are in a shitty neighbourhood. And my total budget each month would be around $1300. Assuming I would go out 3 or 4 times a week.

I'd say you're much better off spending $500-600 of your $1,300 a month budget on lodging. From a quality of life perspective, you get more from investing in an ok place than anything else outside of a decent neighborhood.

I'm sure you know this, but you can negotiate on Airbnb. You can ask for a better deal. I never accept their sticker price.

Often, a host will give 15-20% monthly discount listed on Airbnb. When they do this, I typically ask for 50% off the monthly price in a message. When I do this, my goal is getting it between 35-40% off the nightly rate in the end.

Having your own place makes girls feel more comfortable, too - especially if they're not of the gutter skank variety.

I tried to ask for 20% discount for shorter term rentals on AirBnB. Usually got 5-10% discount as a result. Asking for 50% off already discounted monthly rate seems too much, but it's worth trying. Did you get any responses like "you've got to be kidding me" or "Get yourself a rat infested hooker motel room for this price"?

Never got a bad response. If it's out of their ballpark, they'll simply say no. Most are willing to negotiate.

But it's city dependent. Certain places and cultures are much more open to negotiation.

Also, it depends on the place. An Airbnb place with 50+ reviews probably won't negotiate nearly as much as a place with 0-5 reviews.

I generally won't rent a place unless I get 25-30% off from the daily rate, unless I know the price is fair for the market.

Any specific tips on how to negotiate and how to phrase your request?

For example, do you mention that you have good reviews on AirBnb or give any other reasons why they should give you a lower rate?

I usually stay for 1-3 months, so I expect to get a better rate than someone who is staying 3-4 nights. Most hosts will be interested in bringing in a couple months of business.

Thus, unless you're working with someone who is a full-time Airbnb host or an agency using Airbnb, most hosts are willing to negotiate for long stays.

State that you have great reviews, offer a glowing, detailed review in return for the discount, tell the host a little about what you do and why you're in the country, and see what happens.

It's usually a negotiation, but I find it rare a host is putting their best price online and it can never hurt to ask.

Airbnb is the way to go in Russia in general, it's not so much that staff will cockblock you but IME most women won't go back to your hotel with you due to the perception and the numerous prostitutes that hotels have a racket on. There's also the additional benefit of Airbnb being cheaper and better than most modern hotels in the centre.

I just want to add to what is written before. I successfully decreased the rent for more than 30-40 % in different cities for almost three-week-stays. I write to hosts that I contact a few hosts (generally three after reading the reviews carefully), and that their place is great but over my budget. So they know that I have options. I also add that they should read my reviews. They generally come back with an offer 15-25 percent less. I tell them that another host offered me 35-40 % less (most of the time it is true but a few times I bluffed), and continue negotiation. Some will drop from the negotiations but you need just one to accept. In my experience more than one accepts my offers. Of course, this will not work unless there are many desirable units. -whatever your desirable criteria is- in the city/area.

I always leave a review to Airbnb after my stay. I wish I could have written the truth...., only valid for some cities though,... "The doormen were really cool to see me bringing a different girl every other day. " [Image: biggrin.gif]
