Pour Out A Little Liquor - Red Solo Cup Creator Dies

This man is probably responsible for a lot of the hangovers you've had over the years. Also, pour out some purple drank in addition to your beer or liquor.

Raise a drink to Robert Leo Hulseman, the creator of the red Solo cup.

WTSP reports Hulseman died Dec. 21 while surrounded by family in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was 84.

His father Leo Hulseman, a former Dixie Co. employee, launched the Solo Cup Company with cone-shaped paper cups in 1936. According to the New York Daily News, "Bob" Hulseman followed in dad's footsteps, working at the company for 60 years including as President and CEO from 1980 to 2006.

During that time, the younger Hulseman implemented the Solo cups' new design with a bright red color that became an iconic staple of tailgate parties and Beer Pong games. Country singer Toby Keith also immortalized the brand with the 2011 song "Red Solo Cup."

RE: the Toby Keith video, I've never spent time in cities like Nashville or Austin, where the country music scene is big.

Is it really possible to go to a party and see this many hot chicks there, or did they pre-select for hotness when filming that video?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that when a music video is filmed, the casting director usually phones a model/acting agency and orders the exact cast that they want. So it's never just random people off the street.

I've seen lean in the red solo cups before, either out of sheer laziness or lack of the styrofoam white cup.

America is too fat on average to have that many hot chicks in one place. Unless its a beach area, anyway.

They don't look like fashion agency models to me. They look like hot local college chicks that they probably recruited from the better sororities at schools in the area.

You can imagine how many of those chicks would be excited to be in a Toby Keith video-they probably worked for free.

I'm sure Toby banged several of them, too.

I knew I should have learned how to play guitar when I was younger...

You are correct. SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild/American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) has union locals in pretty much every major city throughout the U.S. It certainly isn't a chore for them to find attractive, aspiring "actresses" who would want to be featured in music videos. If it's a particularly large shoot, not every extra has to be union, they're allowed to hire nonunion as well. But even nonunion people are screened before being allowed to just wander onto a set.

While not on the level of the video, Nashville women are very good looking assuming they have not succumbed to the American obesity crisis. I saw some true 10s while I was there in October including the best looking post-wall survivor that I have ever seen.

However, the men are pretty spectacular too and while maybe not versed in game seem to know their way around women.

I need to get back to work on my Nashville report.
