Best airline US-to-Europe?

I'm booking my first Europe trip and I'm curious about which airline I should take.

I'm leaving from Pittsburgh. I am flying in to Paris. I will fly back from Barcelona.

I'm likely flying economy, but I am hoping with a little luck and few dollars to upgrade.

I will only be taking a backpack of appropriate size for carry-on. I am a big guy, about 6'2" 290 lbs, so good seats in economy would not hurt my feelings.

Within my preferred price range and flight times, I am looking at the following airlines:

Air Canada
Air France
American Airlines
Delta
Continental
Lufthansa
United
US Airways

Any help would be appreciated.

I have flown on all those airlines if you are stuck flying economy and leg room is crucial I'd fly United and buy the upgrade for economy plus. If your concern is good service and food, Lufthansa and Air France aren't bad and you get free wine when flying on Air France. I'd double check your flight options though, most international flights are code shares so a United flight you are looking at could actually be operated by Lufthansa or a Delta flight is actually operated by Air France and etc. Last but not least, I wouldn't fly US Airways if the ticket was free. Worst airline I've ever been on.

Free wine? Is there an airline with free scotch? That might sell a ticket.

OK, so forget US Airways. Wasn't looking hard at it anyhow.

I'm not really stuck flying economy. I'm just too damned cheap.
