Was about to start a thread on this but found this one. The RZA posted on his Facebook an account of what happened(for your convenience I've bolded the obvious simping):

Normally I don't respond to negative social media attacks towards me. Yet in this case of Azealia Banks I'm compelled to respond.
Firstly I only wish the best for her and any struggling artist in this complex industry.
Azealia was brought to my attention while I was casting my next Film Coco. I heard the rumors of her problems in the industry but disregarded them with the rationality everyone is innocent until proven guilty. So my producer and I fought for her to be in the film and we succeeded. During the filming process things ran smooth and she delivered. Thus my only experience with her had been professional. A few weeks ago Azealia hit me up for some economic help and bong I gave a helping hand.
She then followed up asking me to help her get a record deal.
I called a friend and bong a record deal was on the table. The only clause my buddy gave was I be the filter because the word is "she is volatile".
I called her and told her a deal was in the workings. She immediately, prematurely went to social media and claimed she signed a deal with RZA Yet no deal was signed.
I didn't respond or comment to her post because I'm not the type to stop the hustle.
I actually wanted her to win.
I advised her to stay focus, leave social media and tabloids alone and let your music and art do your talking.
She then hits me for a ticket to LA to work and Bong I comply.
She then needs a place to stay and bong I put her in a hotel.
I returned to LA shortly after and we scheduled a meeting.
I invited her to meet me at the BHH Polo Lounge. Yet I head also planned on spending some time with my Buddy RC in his suite so I ask him can she join. He says "cool Bobby" so I invited her.
Before the night is over Azealia is insulting half the room she becomes loud and obnoxious.
There was nothing funny about her behavior. I felt a little embarrassed because she was my guest.
Still verbal abuse can be tolerated but when it goes physical...
Azealia threaten to cut a girl in the face with a glass, then actually grabs a glass and physically attacks for no logical reason.
Russell blocked the attack and expelled her from the suite.
Seeing is believing and I saw her behave as an obnoxious erratic individual and in the circles I frequent this was unprecedented. I was totally puzzles by her and thought maybe meds or booze or something had her zoned out.
Nevertheless I made sure she got home safe.
THIS IS NOT A RACE OR GENDER ISSUE.
I did not hear Russell call her a N::gg::::
I'm not trying to protect Russell from anything he is a man of his own Caliber.
My art, talent and success speaks for it self and Azealia's recent slander of me and self victimization reflect's the personality of the person that was in that room that night.
I have a wife, daughters, sisters and females on my staff so I protect women everyday.
I pray none of them ever behave the way I witnessed Azealia Banks behaved that night.

The way she talks, the way she gestures screams entitled ratchet broad...all Banks had to do was smile, laugh, and eat cocktail shrimp for three hours while the ink on her new record deal dried and she couldn't even do that.

Big fan of the RZA's music but he comes off as a powersimp(he wasn't even trying fuck). I don't he would've bent over backwards for a male artist with the same reputation as Banks. He spent his money, called in favors, personally vouched for her and she just pissed it all away trying to glass a stranger.

Brief Aside: Does RZA really just punctuation his conversations with the word "bong" in real-life??

Urbandictionary isn't helping me here. Anyone ever heard bong used like this before? Is it an exclamation? For emphasis? Like a stoner's version of "bang?"

This is legitimately a RZA thing only. If you read/watch any interviews with him or watch him on pretty much any public appearance, he'll say "bong" in that context at least twice and he almost always slips in a "cool, Bobby" as well.

He used it a lot on Chappelle's Show, so it's been a borderline trademark going back to the early 2000s at least. Best way I can think to describe the way it's used is like a combination of the Seinfeld "yadda yadda yadda" and any affirmative, i.e. "sure", "cool", "yeah ok", etc up to and including agreement phrases like "word is bond", which is actually where it might have its root.

If Rza and Russell Crowe were any random dudes they'd be in a lot of trouble with how badly this segment makes her look. Luckily people are tired of women playing the victim like this. As if she did absolutely nothing bring this negative attention on herself.
Thank god Rza has a ton of credibility and Russell has very good lawyers. They'll both be ok and she'll still be that agry black girl they kicked off twitter.

As an aside i still *old* like her music. I thought it was decent and the lyrics and themes were a breath of fresh air. The girl just needs to stick to making music and take some anger management classes.

Anger management classes do not control these people. A firm smack across the face whenever they step outta line usually does the trick. Failing that she can always live it up in prison for GBH.

Eventually she will decide to try and cut the wrong person up and end up in hospital or the morgue. Something tells me her desire for attention, ratchet behaviour and the people she hangs with will lead her down this path.

Agreed. She put RZA is a bad position as far as image goes, forcing him to choose publicly between a young black woman and an old white man.

I doubt he will get any grief from the real OG's he knows. They all know whats up with black girls and Azelia banks has a reputation for being a wild bitch over the last 5 years or so. The public at large really doesn't know who RZA is in the grande scheme of things. They think he's just some old black guy who used to rap. To them he's not relevant ie has a hit record out or is in the next Hollywood blockbuster.
