Certain songs are able to affect people in different ways, lyrics can help alter a persons emotions or mental state, positively or otherwise. I like to try and play a couple of feel good songs before I leave my house in the mornings, this helps put me in a good mood and is a reminder to not to let the repetitive day of corporate grind that lies ahead get me down.
I'd like to what songs inspire you. It doesn't matter what a song inspires you to do, it could be anything, but if it inspires you to do something I would like to hear it.
Here's a couple of mine.
This first one reminds me of my father who died suddenly in his fifties and of others who were also taken too soon. When I think of my dads life it acts as a reminder to me that I should forge my own path and create a future that allows me to spend time doing the things I enjoy. This helps me to quell those moments of doubt that can arise when I consider leaving a comfortable job to do my own thing, who wants to look back and admit to themselves that they didn't have the stones to take a chance and live a great life.?
In a similar vein this one reminds me that if I want to achieve my aims and live the kind of life I want that I need to put the work in and work on every area of my life every single day.
