The generally horrible quality of women and relationships in the west is why I'm not so down on these things as other men might be.

I've been very, very fortunate in my life. Far more fortunate than I deserve. I have opportunities open to me for pursuing relationships that other men don't. If I'm not satisfied with my relationships, that is my own fault, and I have no one else to blame. But most of the guys I know aren't as lucky as I am.

I have a buddy who got dinged with... we'll just say a false rape accusation. It ruined his life. He went from a 60k a year job to working 50 hours a week doing pizzas and call center stuff just to stay afloat. The stories he tells me about the women he dates make me want to chop my dick off and join a monastery. They're clinically insane. Violent. Angry, screaming. Morbidly obese. Often all of the above. His only options, the only women who'll give him the time of day, are terrifying landwhales and angry, bitter feminists.

And this is the case for a lot of guys who don't live on the coasts and in the big cities. A combination of the obesity epidemic, feminism, and rampant use of anti-depressants has absolutely ruined middle America. I think we're a mostly coastal crowd on this forum, so sometimes the sheer scale of the damage isn't immediately apparent to us. But in a few years there just aren't going to be any good options for the vast majority of men. Skipping off to the Philippines or Brazil for a year simply isn't an option for the average guy with a 20-30k a year income, a 105 IQ, and average social skills. Hell, how many people on this forum have actually done that?

Even on this forum, you can start to see signs of the damage. Look at XPQ22's player log he posted in the newbie section about his first year. He put in a full year's worth of effort. He had the complete backing of everyone on the forum. Thousands of messages sent. Hours spent day gaming. Hours spent night gaming. Dates with crazy feminists who talk about "pronoun usage". I can't even imagine the financial cost, but it's probably safe to put it somewhere in the mid 4 digits, depending on how much he spent on drinks, dates, and cover charges at bars. And how many lays did he get out of it? 9. One every 40 days. Props to him for putting in this enormous effort, but how attractive a proposition is that for most men?

At what point does VirtualWaifu-Sim become a better deal for men than trying their hand in a hellish dating market?
