Shootout at Atlanta Gas Station

Here is what happened plain and simple- the AK guy had a nice car and a woman with him as far as the handgun guy knew. The handgun guy walks behind a man who dapped up the dudes at the door, he looks at AK dudes car and the woman in the front seat- smells a Vic (Victim). He approaches AK guy directly (neglecting to even feign an attempt at entering the convenience store) and pretends to offer weed while gauging his Vic status/weakness ( Note : Patrice ONeal mentioned robbers using this tactic of robbers trying you for weakness before they strike on Opie and Anthony when describing his own mugging in the 90's). AK dude peeps the game and says something passive while reaching for the Ak in the car, while keeping his eye on handgun guy. Handgun guy was about to make his move when AK guy pulls out his AK and tries to make handgun guy back down with a show of superior firepower. Handgun guy has nuts, fakes retreat and begins firing, Ak guy uses car as a shield and drops mr handgun. AK guys woman was shot in the process.

This was a simple case of victim turned aggressor, and thank god for that. I know a lot of the white people on this forum will see how the AK guy looks and speaks and will think what they think. The fact of the matter is the country brother Mr AK was out with his woman (and his homeboy who runs to the car post shoot out) and someone tried to make him a victim of opportunity, and he turned the tables. He deserves the benifit of the doubt, his only error was not to shoot and drop Mr Handgun from the jump.

Pretty sure I had a guy case me out today. I was walking with one of my sons. I spotted a crack head that look like he just smoked some dope cross the street about a block away. Then crossed back to my side when we made eye contact. He walked up to me and I addressed him first. He asked to bum a cigarette.

You could tell I didn't have a thing on me except keys and my phone because I was wearing a compression shirt and shorts with no pockets.

I said "No" firm as hell and my body language said don't fuck with me. I probably had 75 lbs and 4 inches on this crack head looking dude anyway. Either way my awareness first and body language and size second what made this dude not even attempt to fuck with me.

Along with what DamienCasanova said, I'd rather have a good 18-20 round handgun than an AK/AR pistol if I was in a shootout. They are fun toys, but not if you're trying to actually aim and hit something repeatedly. Though they definitely would accomplish scaring the shit out of someone.

The assault-rifle/handgun fad is largely driven I suspect by Californian gun laws, since we have similar issues in Australia with similar workarounds.

Someone living in Californa who wants to own a bunch of assault rifles for whatever reason can buy these "assault pistols" and simply buy the stocks and the barrels separately and apply them later as needed.

Here in Australia we can use that technique for certain rimfire pistols and functionally them into rimfire rifles as required. When you're done you put the original parts back on and put it back in the safe.

The public will judge a man by what he lifts, but those close to him will judge him by what he carries.

Moving on from the out of nowhere race insertion, I have one of these in my trunk:

It's not perfect, but it does give you something without having to pay $200 for a tax stamp, and the fact that it is classified as a pistol makes it easier to transport in most locations. My Tavor rifle is actually shorter with a much longer barrel, but the legality of transporting it makes it harder to have handy in most states I visit.

I move the AK to my front seat if I'm driving through somewhere shady. I also always have my CCW pistol on me, regardless of where the AK is.

Damn dude, you're like a walking armory... Do you really need all that firepower wherever you go? And have you ever had to fire off some shots IRL?

I have a business in the hood but CCW is really hard to get here in California, and TBH, I don't know if I'd trust myself to actually hit the intended target with adrenaline pumping and blood rushing. I keep a stun gun in my back pocket, but I know that's mostly just for the placebo effect of safety.

A powerful stun gun to the neck will make the dumb ass piss and shit himself on the spot. Fucking fantastic. If thats not enough you can give him the juice over and over.

I live in the midwest and I have to travel by car a lot. And it's the midwest that has been plagued with riots lately (thanks Soros), and I'm not getting caught out.

Otherwise I just shoot it with customers and coworkers at work. I even made a 4th of July promotion video with it.
