I left 6 years ago already.
I was based in Bs As and the city was becoming more and more urbanized and/or gentrified.
I love my people who are a lot friendlier and heartier than many would think by let me tackle it by points

Overall
Great place to live in if:
-you are not part of the rat race and/or have independent/ foreign cash coming in
-you have streetstmarts and locate a part of your perceptive resources to make sure you re not robbed.

Women
I remember liking how concerned they were about their looks.
While initially they might seem more feisty and less dense than the typical Spaniard or Italian, they still tend have a gold digger mentality primarily concerned about status and the state of their ass.
A foreign passport can cut a lot of steps to hot ass

Where are you living now? Do you know many foreigners that lived there? What did they do for jobs?

I did know a few in a working age/position.They were either

-Erasmus kind of studying abroad year young europeans
-Sabatical year young europeans/aussies
These two would often be at entry level positions in teaching english or customer service,often with little to no ability other than being able to speak english and/or another foreign language plus being exotic genitals (specially the women of course)

-Middle aged Northern europeans/americans:
These guys would normally be down in Bs As because they hooked up with an argie woman and were either waiting for the paperwork to happen so they could move on back to their own countries and/or try their hand at the local life.
Most often than not they would free lance or bring their work from abroad (journalists,researchers,coders.etc) so their income would land them in a comfortable position when converted to the local currency.
When these guys were working in a company environment they would go for a more qualified position (a good example: Dane guy in a financial research company I worked in was handling all the data in scandinavian languages)

Sometimes an older middle aged fellow would be brought in to an executive position,in which cases they pretty much were dandying around barely inter acting with the local populace in any meaningful way until he was switched to the next position in the next country.

I'm a a backpacking vagrant engaging mainly in street art and the occasional odd job that may spring up in the way.

I think the common stereotype that Americans are obnoxious still stands.
But if you can prove through simple manners and conversation that you are not a douche I think most people in Argentina and Europe would be rather welcoming,plus the exoticness factor always wakes interest.

It's not always harder to move abroad. I moved to China in 2009 and was working a decent job and banging countless 18yo girls.

Sadly, it's the opposite of paradise there now, but there are always options better than your current location. Just do research instead of asking.
