France or Germany?

France or Germany?

Ok as someone with extensive knowledge and experience in France as a expat and in Germany as a traveller I can end this debate right here if you are willing to take my word for it . FORGET FRANCE GET YO ASS TO DEUTSHCLAND . I'll put in my two cents below.

1. The quality of the girls is highly debatable which is better. Look up the WAGS (wives and girlfriends) of French and German football stars and you'd have an idea of what type of facial feaures hotties of each country posses. It's apples and pears , I personally prefer the German look over the French thinner/long (horse/tranny) faces. Germany has more tattoes and piercings and it's more common to see goths, emo, alternative looks on the streets than the somewhat traditional scarf and jacket style in France.

2. If you are into any kind of techno or electronic music any German city will keep you hooked, Berlin being the Mecca. France's idea of an underground music scene other than Paris is some scruffy haired white boys playing bad guitar to cheesy lyrics.

3. Germans although somewhat cold on the surface are starry eyed when they see a foreigner with swag. The French are highbrowed to the brim irrespective of generations and you will work way harder getting noticed in social circles as in French groups you will be nonexistent in any converstaion whereas the Germans will show curiosity and let you flourish. Also German girls are way more into trying exotic foreigner boys than French girls who feed on teasing and making men work for it.

4. Both are difficult languages to learn but if you can learn conversational French it will help you elevate your game to another level. At music Festivals, gatherings, dates I always casually drop my French skills and it makes girls go gagging for it. I always lookout for the french group in any expat bar and go spend a couple of minutes speaking French with them and later on when I am gaming a bird they would come exchange pleasantaries. Everytime girls have told me they got so turned on when they heard me speaking French. German unfortunately doesn't have the same aphrodisiac effect and far fewer people speaking it you are likely to encounter during your travels.

5. France is way more expensive and the quality of fast food is extremely poor. You would spend 10 euros on bad kebab, soggy chips and a can of coke. They don't even do falafel in half the places in France. Germany due to its Turkish population is Kebab heaven. For 4 euros you can get top notch kebab/falafel plenty of choices. Germany also has better sausages , chips/fries , all but croissants, pain chocolat, breakfast pastries France does better than anyone else. If you can afford to go for a 50 euro 3 course meal France might have the better gastronomic food but for a bachelors life Germany all the way .

6. Avoid the suburbs in both countries. There is no charm or dream/fantasy scenario there. As the great Eddie Alvarez once said "There is no Santa Claus. He doesn't exist." Life is depressing , people are unwelcoming, crude and either redneckish or snobbish in most parts. You'd have to do extensive research and get tremendously lucky to avoid that. Parisian suburbs just forget about it. Don't put yourself up to months of depression.

7. I would use strong words to scare you off if you didn't mention you are mixed race and olive skin. If you have prominent North African /Arabic features think twice before going to France in search of a good time. The French society including the fittest birds screen out the Arabs, it's like being East Indians in UK or Oriental worldwide, you start at a minus 5 and then its an uiphill battle. It can be done but why bother. The French born Arabic girls can be divided into two types. The traditionals who you can try to get with showing off your Moroccan roots but they wont put out and the second group of semi-westernised ho-s who leave behind their cité (ghettos) and dress like the Kardashians and want nothing but validation from a cute white French boy.

8.The French are rightly known for their lousyness / lack of Effort to engage in conversations in English. Germany most bangable young birds would speak good English if not would want to learn or practise with you.

Bottomline

I would advise Paris if you can handle the expense and afford to live in one of the hip arrondissements/districts. Paris would have everything including more expats and flags than you can handle, all looking for an artistic pseudo intellectual short term affair. Just tell them you are Brando and ready to tango. Lyon/Nice/Lille if you absolutely must do France. The three towns have a big student population and you can find some slutty birds there.

Berlin would have everything beat. It is cheaper than Paris and way cooler city to experience and develop one's personality. Expats galore too. In London you have the most mainstream cant-be-arsed lazy expats who want to do a couple of years abroad, drink, drugs , debauchery without the hassle of learning a language or go against the stream. Paris you get the expats who are convinced they are better than everyone in their native land and they can explain a dali painting better than Warhol, they are desperately seeking an artistic hipsterish stamp and believe a year in paris is the shortcut to it. Berlin you would get people further off the beaten path , who are soul searching via means of drugs and music.

In terms of second tier Germany I'd highly recommend Hamburg or Cologne.

France or Germany?

< true as well. Especially the part about Berlin, Paris and London. Of the cities given by MrAstro, I didn't find the German cities too appealing. Frankfurt has things going on obviously and I know a local girl who likes her own city a lot, and I've done a couple of nights in Frankfurt but it isn't Berlin or Hamburg maybe. Of course if you get into the right groups of people Frankfurt can be good as well.

Maybe it's something particular about me but I tend to do quite well in France. In all honesty I think I do better in both France and Germany than in my home country the Netherlands.

Furthermore, I have French people always found to be helpful (if you address them in French), contrary to popular opinion.

The cheap food is better quality and tastier in Germany for sure.
