One Dead After Blast Outside German Wine Bar

At least one person has been killed in an explosion outside a wine bar in the German city of Ansbach near Nuremberg.

Bavaria's interior ministry has said that the explosion was not an accident, adding: "We assume it was deliberate."

Twelve people were injured in the blast, three of them seriously - and the explosion was not far from the entrance of a music festival.

Detectives believe the man who died was likely to have been the attacker, who was wearing a backpack and may have been carrying the explosive device.

The suspected suicide bomber is said to be a 27-year-old Syrian who had been denied asylum in Germany.

Security officials say he detonated the explosive after being turned away from the music festival.

"Due to the situation in Syria, he was not deported. In spite of the rejected application, he was given exceptional leave to remain," said Joachim Herrmann, Bavaria's interior minister.

A police statement stressed that there is no sign of any further attackers, and no arrests have been made.

More than 2,000 people have been evacuated from the nearby festival, which has now been cancelled.

A large-scale operation involving police and rescue workers is under way, and a helicopter has been summoned to the scene.

Germany has been on high alert following a series of incidents in recent days.

On Sunday, a Syrian refugee wielding a machete killed a woman and injured two other people in the German city of Reutlingen - the 21-year-old man was apparently acting alone and has been arrested.

And on Friday, nine people were killed in a shooting near a shopping centre in Munich, which was carried out by an 18-year-old who later turned the gun on himself.

At this rate, we might as well create terrorism threads for individuals countries.

We were calling it from the beginning of last summer, when the migrant crisis first took hold. This would be a regular occurence in Germany, and now we are right.

This is setting things up nicely for WWIII, which pits the West and Israel against Islam and its allies. Well done Elite.

I hope none of my friends in Ansbach needed witness that sort of thing. The misery I have seen haunts my nightmares to this day.

But... but... native Germans blow themselves up all the time! Why is this poor refugee being singled out?

With the failed Turkish coup d'état, what we've seen hitherto will prove to have been a trickle. After the rain, the deluge.

The only dead one is the Syrian attacker, he did hurt 12 people. He had a bomb in his backpack and tried to enter a festival with 2500 visitors. They found also pieces of metal in the bomb, to make it more painful. What can I say? Refugees welcome...

We will stand tall in the sunshine
With the truth upon our side
And if we have to go alone
We'll go alone with pride

For us, these conflicts can be resolved by appeal to the deeply ingrained higher principle embodied in the law, that individuals have the right (within defined limits) to choose how to live. But this Western notion of individualism and tolerance is by no means a conception in all cultures. - Theodore Dalrymple

someone already suggested in a thread that we'd need a Germany Terrorist HAPPENINGs Megathread, seems like a wise idea right now

But Hillary is such a horrible candidate that any big war would very likely help Trump, so the elites are in a tough spot at the moment.

The increas of attacks is amazing, but not surprising. If AFD does not get 60% of the votes at least and Austria does not elect the anti-immigration liberal party for president, then they are fucked.

But either way - the results will be clear:

1) Sooner or later there will be a kickback
2) There are only 2 solutions to this that will be offered from above:

A) totalitarian surveillance state and massive anti-terror laws that mostly profile the local population
B) A civil and likely world war in the future

Possibly A & B an option.

Syrian man denied asylum killed in German blast: Bavarian minister

A 27-year-old Syrian man who had been denied asylum in Germany a year ago died on Sunday when a bomb he was carrying exploded outside a music festival in Ansbach, Germany, a Bavarian state official told a news conference, according to a website.

Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann said the man had tried to commit suicide twice before. It was unclear if he had planned to commit suicide or "take others with him into death",

At this rate, it will require a frequently updated & detailed database / website to keep up with all these attacks.

Exceptional leave to remain if you look at it does not count as asylum statistics. So whereas they could grant asylum to 100,000, even more could be granted this term of residence. Think I read up on that some time ago when the Labour government were lying about it.

So this guy who could be seen as a normal Syrian refugee by any stretch decided he wanted to build a bomb, built it and went on his merry way to murder innocent people.

And how many third worlders do we have in Europe who get upset over little things and could potentially turn into a mass murderer?

Typical cognitive dissonance I would expect from those diehard Liberals - those are all products of the '68 student movement and are the product of the Marxist cold war long con game, i.e. the long slow march through the institutions. Basically we are now living with the legacy of all that Marxist hippy bullcrap of the 1960s.

The public will judge a man by what he lifts, but those close to him will judge him by what he carries.

You are right!
Maybe this Syrian dude had just found on the street, by chance, a bomb made by a bad, right-wing German, and he was on his way to drop said bomb into the river, in order to save lives! Poor guy, shows that no good deed goes unpunished!

Well, these soulmates sure are getting creative with their weaponry. Trucks, bombs, machetes, axes...they are going to have to outlaw pretty much all vehicles and hand tools.

The frequency of these attacks is frightening. Can anyone speak on the national mood of German citizenry right now? People have got to be waking up, this is outrageous.

I think it does - you can easily be deemed undesirable to enter a certain place but that is not a reason to arrest you or otherwise think that you are dangerous and need to be searched or somesuch. Clubs don't call police on face-controlled patrons that they turn away either.
