Curious as to what the forum thinks. I have a pretty dark/swarthy face, and I have been wearing the blue glasses at the link below to contrast them when I am out at night. Faglord or no?

It seems quite questionable when guys ask what they should wear, but I suppose sometimes guidance may be legit.

When it comes to eyeglasses, it seems that girls can get away with wearing a lot more than guys when it comes to colors and blinginess (sparkles), but frequently guys can wear some feminine kinds of colors, and probably guys can get away with some styles that are kind of feminine more when they have a more masculine body or otherwise the remainder of their attire is a masculine presentation...

I think that the same is true with those light blue glasses that seem to be a kind of a rayban wayfer imitation.

I have a friend who is in his late 40s, and he wears a kind of round glasses that look pretty feminine. He's been wearing those glasses for at least more than a year, and from time to time, I will say something to suggest that another shape would probably be better for him, but since he is not really asking me for my "fashion" opinion, I don't really bother to elaborate on my thinking.. and he seems to like the shape on his face.

He is otherwise fairly fit, single, and he generally has some decent interactions with women - or at least he tends to approach quite a bit and to play around with some women. In the end, what you can get away with wearing is likely just one part of the package, and depends on how you hold yourself and other items that you are wearing.

Do they have lenses in them? Corrective/shaded, or are they fake? Fake lenses automatically make you a douche bag.

The fact that you use the term "faglord" makes me assume you are wearing a lens-less version. I've never heard that phrase. It's super gay.

If you are banging chicks with douche bag game and they don't have lenses, all the power to you. There is a niche for wearing those types of accessories and picking up a specific type of girl.

But you must realize it's a ticking time bomb. Enjoy the vapid smoke-shows and rolling sloots. Everyone has their douche phase with sloppy bangs, but if you're actually trying to become a man of value, realize the moment is fleeting.

You can't live your life wearing those faggy glasses more than a year or two. Focus on building a classically masculine style and let the bar skanks fall for the tool wearing the latest gimmick.

Unless you are in a halloween costume, most folks are going to put some kind of actual lens in there. Those kinds of glasses will come with a dummy lens, and sometimes the dummy lens will have marking on it, but the dummy lens should be fairly apparent because dummy lenses are really cheap - even in expensive name-brand glasses and dummy lenses do not endure very well.

You can do all kinds of things with lenses, even if not prescription with coatings tint or even transitional (changes colors with lighting), and even the cheapest plastic lenses will look o.k. in those glasses, and people would not be able to tell whether there is a prescription in the lens or not.

I do agree that if guys are attempting to get attention through apparel, merely for the sake of getting attention, then that seems to be a weak game approach, and usually better to work on other substantive attributes that you are bringing to the table, as well.
