This past Monday, ex-mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Amokrane “Kiane” Sabet was shot dead by police in Bali, Indonesia after fatally stabbing a police officer.

Apparently Sabet, 49, an indigenous Algerian and French national was confronted by the local constabulary and immigration officers regarding his tourist visa which had expired, and that’s when all hell broke loose.

After a brief standoff, the police opened fire killing Sabet in the process.

“I am done. Shoot me!”, Sabet can be heard saying moments before his death.

Police reports suggest that Sabet’s character throughout the municipality was one mired in violence and behavioural issues.

“There had been many complaints about him such as eating at restaurants without paying, carrying a knife, and harassing people, but every time we called him in for questioning, he never showed up,” Bali police spokesman Hery Wiyanto told AFP.

“One of our officers tried to approach him and calm him down, but Sabet stabbed him,” said Wiyanto, adding that the officer died from his wounds.

Sabet (1-3 MMA) who contested at heavyweight competed under the banners of UK promotions Ultimate Challenge MMA and Millennium Brawl.

He made his professional debut in 1999, defeating Mike Tomlinson via submission. Sabet last fought in 2011, losing to Tomasz Czerwinski by way of knockout.

I found out that NFL players and some boxers are doing CST Cranio Sacral Therapy(sp?) pretty recently. Roy Jones Jr. said he can now sleep well because he used to just lay down awake all night. I found a dude that studied with one of the original men who developed it and started the therapy myself. I grind my teeth less and I don't have sinus pain anymore so far. When I finish all these sessions, I will drop a mini sheet on my experience.

Just to clarify because my initial post was vague, people are saying the CST can actually outright heal the effects of a concussion. That's why I am doing it myself.

Yes that is why I put that link in the OP, but in the actual shooting video you can actually notice that the police are using rubber bullets as you can hear them rechamber a round manually every time they fire a round, rubber bullets don't have enough power to fully cycle a rifle.

You can't see anyone doing harm with a knife to his neck on the video, I wonder if it is self inflicted or done by the police.

I'm not sure. He killed that first cop with a knife and the theory is the cop must have turned his knife on him in the struggle. Sounds a tad convenient to me, though I can imagine knife fighting skills being common among law enforcement in Indo.

In any case, sounds like the guy was a bomb waiting to go off for quite some time.

He's still shouting, standing strong and not bleeding after the knife fight. If the officer would've knifed him in the neck and hit an artery he wouldn't be standing for more than 10 seconds. If he would be hit in the trachea he wouldn't be able to shout.

Must have happened after the shootout, he either fell with his neck on his knife, killed himself, or some street justice by the police.

A good friend of mine and her friends had seen this guy for awhile running around Bali. (They were there for 3 months)

She told me she usually gets good vibes from people, but she had a sick feeling in her stomach seeing this guy.

They saw him in stores and restaurants, yelling and doing whatever the fuck he wanted, didn't pay for shit and stomped around. I guess the Police were just tailing him and minitoring what he was doing, up until the stabbing happened.

EDIT: I see that it's confirmed above that he did what I described.

He actually sort of chased my homegirl and her friends on scooters and then they hit traffic and pulled up and said "I think that your girls don't like me !" laughed all maniacally.

It really freaked the girls out, I didn't think it'd make it on this forum.

She even has video and pics of the dude acting all crazy.

Wow. How completely unlikely. I actually met this guy at the W Resort in Seminyak in the gym. He never gave me his name (called himself "Jesus Christ") and I'm not an MMA fan. His workout routine was (obviously) very intense and he made a lot of noise, but otherwise seemed like a thoroughly pleasant and friendly guy.

^ It sounds like he had some screws loose and needed to be on some serious meds, so to me it's most certainly plausible he could be both a pleasant and friendly guy and terrorizing the local population.

That being said, any time you meet a guy calling himself Jesus Christ, you should probably be a bit suspect.

All fighters and full contact sports people are a bit crazy by default. You have to be to not mind getting hit by another person. Most people shy away from contact, guys like us do not. Some are even fringe lunatics. I have kicked out losers from my dojo for going 115% on my fighters or cranking armbars too far. Anyone else habitually on oxy or painkillers was not allowed to train with us either. These kinds of guys are pretty much one temper tantrum away from the death penalty.

It really takes a higher calling or purpose that drives your life (God, family, etc.) to keep all the voices in your head down. You have to be cognizant of the fact that it is possible for someone to enrage you quickly, so that when it does happen, the most you might do is clench a fist, but ultimately you let it slide. A traditional martial arts background tends to help out alot if you took them as a kid to drive home the point that you are part of a 1% of the planet potentially walking around others and to side with peace over conflict. Power, great responsibility, you know the saying. It's very true indeed.

I think I assumed he was a steroid user based on his hyperactive behavior in the gym (really noisy - but no one complained) and his larger than life physique. The guy was absolutely huge in a way that I don't think is possible without supplementation.
I know that when I was taking 'roids, it was absolutely necessary to be aware of how testy I could be, and even then - when I was exploring the limits of what my body could handle - I was a bit of a dick.... I have a pretty awesome life so not much reason to complain, but I still had to be careful and constantly remind myself.

You got my attention with the grinding teeth bit. Although I've never had head trauma that I can remember, I have the teeth grinding problem when I'm asleep and my dentist took notice. I hate wearing a nightguard though, so I'd be interested in reading that mini sheet.

I know the feeling. I have grinded maybe half my teeth broken. My jaw muscles are ultra tight. We used to work our jawlines really hard before fights or after a rough mini-camp to make ourselves more resilient to knockouts.
