Excess sweating

I frequently suffer from excess sweating and wonder if anyone knows ways to help with the problem. I realise that like most physical traits it's mainly genetic since most people on my mother's side of the family are pretty heavy sweaters. I'm in reasonably good shape, have quite a stocky build but not overweight so I doubt fitness is the problem.

It's not just to help with game, although that is one of the reasons heavy sweating annoys me. I'm currently in SE Asia and last night I was sitting eating in a restaurant and before I knew it I had sweat pouring down my face. The weird thing is I've acclimatised and didn't feel particularly hot or uncomfortable. I looked around and saw that a few westerners had a bit of perspiration but nothing like me. It gets annoying at times.

Like I said, I know this is mostly genetic so I think that trying to stay completely sweat-free is unrealistic, but if anyone knows of anything that can reduce the problem it would be appreciated. Often in SE Asia I've often had a cool shower and got ready in an air-conditioned room before heading out, so the change in heat and humidity could bring it on, but it often happens to me in colder climates too. Anyone know of any foods, herbs etc that are good for this? Do alcohol or tobacco have an effect?

Try Roosh's baking soda routine which is on the main page and also somewhere on the forum. Also, I've read that its important to constantly switch deodorants because your body gets used to the same ones over time and they become less effective.

Being a western living in SE asia myself I had the same problem. Solution was to decrease body fat % and to slow myself down. People here have a much slower pace for doing pretty much everything, so just copy their speed and it should improve a bit.
Now I am a bit leaner and do everything grandpa speed... it works

Yea being overweight contributes hugely to sweating. Now that is summer, all my fat friends complain a lot about the heat...whereas my slim friends are okay. If you are overweight, it's like wearing a north face jacket in the tropics..no mammal would not sweat with such layers..even polar bears are extremely uncomfortable at temperatures of about 1 degree celsius (40 degrees Fahrenheit).

I'm not overweight (play a lot of sports etc) but I am quite heavy for my height due to my build. I've tried slowing down the pace a bit in SE Asia, quite hard when you're in a city with lots of sights to see but in the more rural areas you can slow things down. Hopefully that'll help and I'll try the baking soda thing when I get home.

Ive got this same problem, for me its usually brow sweat. I'll be sitting down inside and my brow will still get hella sweaty. Wearing a hat has been a quick easy fix, but its not the kind of fix I'm looking for.

This has been a problem for me also. It makes you feel more conscious as a result. Despite the fact I am very fit, eat well etc it still happens, like even when I take a short walk to somewhere and it's not that hot. So I think much of it is genetics as you say.

Colombia ruined me, the heat was devastating. It was bad when I went out on a date with a chick one time and the humidity and the heat was that bad I couldn't sit outside at 11pm in the evening because I was sweating so bad. So we had to sit inside where it was air-conditioned, needless to say it me more self-conscious and didn't bode well for my date as all I thought about was how to stop sweating!

I currently use a product called Anhydrol which is for 'the topical treatment of hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). I put this stuff on and I don't sweat a drop. I definitely recommend it. Still get brow sweat..but wherever else it goes it stops it.

I tried Driclor also, but I didn't find it worked for me. These are available at pharmacies in the UK over the counter and without subscription, I would imagine they would also be readily available in the US also.

Excess sweating

When I was in puberty, I used to sweat a lot. Ew, ew, ew... I don't miss that at all.

My mom used to make me use a lemmon (lime for you? tahiti lemmon?) picture link below... some minutes before shower and then wash it in bath every day and then put desodorant. Makes wonders and it is cheap.

This lemmon can be used and this other too...

Thanks for the replies everyone. I've only got a week or so left in SE Asia so I can handle it for the time-being, but I'll try a few of these different methods when I get home (it's summer in the UK just now so I'm sure I'll be doing a bit of sweating, even if it's not as bad as in Asia!)

I've always been a sweaty person. Especially my hands and face. Isn't there surgery for this? Its annoying as hell.

Yes, there is a surgery but it doesn't halt the sweating, it just transfers it from your hands to your torso

Is there anything to do for sweaty palms besides wash them as much as possible? That's my main problem.

Do you put Anyhdrol on AND deodorant? Does anyone else have experience with this product? I sweat like a pig and really need something to help control it. My underarms, scalp, palms. I bet I wouldn't be so skinny if I wasn't such a heavy dsweater. DK, yes it makes you very self concious to be the only one covered in sweat while everyone else looks dry as a cat. I have to take breaks during sex so I can wash my my face off and wipe my body up with a towel.

I sweat heavy too. But I have learned that trying to stop sweat is a fucked up process with heavy ass chemicals. Sweating can be a good thing if its controlled. Now I just control sweat internally. I still sweat but it does not smell, so now I just sweat out preety much salt water.

I use Chlorophyll as a internal deodorizer. It works really well I will dropping a sheet on it soon.

Wear loose fitting cotting clothing that breathes easily. This will allow the sweat to evaporate from your skin.

I wear a lot of shirts like these: http://www.hm.com/us/product/92629?article=92629-C

Wear "dryfit" clothing. New Balance and Nike and probably a bunch of other companies have clothing that draws sweat away from your skin.

I sweat after eating. So I never eat a large meal before going out to run night game. Instead I'll have some fruit and protein powder.
