If you answer emotionally without reading the posts that would help you realize it's not about that then you're a woman.

OP, samsamsam and AtoD, if you haven't already, I would highly recommend picking up some Uniqlo Pima Cotton shirts. I am like you and fall in a weird in between size.

They are just plain solid colored T's, and their only like $13 a pop, but by god these are the most supremely-fitting T shirts that I've ever had the pleasure of wearing. The Pima cotton is a special type that's much, much softer as well. For anyone that even remotely looks like they work out they are an awesome slim fit, but if you're what people would consider "jacked" then you are going to slip on all the puddles women leave on the floor. I would also go one size down.

They stretch great over time and don't develop that horrible "wind sail" square shape that T's that have been washed too many times tend to do. Best shirt for the price, and I believe they come in the gay V neck variation as well, although I personally only get crew necks.

2 white and 2 black, and you basically got your T shirt game down pat, provided you have other types of stuff to wear.

EDIT: one more thing, I've had some pretty expensive T's back in the day, but I think it defeats the purpose completely. A T shirt, by its very nature is sort of like a disposable item. Even the best fabric and prints fade over time. I've gotten more compliments on $7 Led Zeppelin shirts from Wal Mart than my $45 designer T's. So yeah I'd be hesitant to get a "custom" fitted T shirt made of loose cotton like that. It's not like getting a custom Oxford shirt made.

since when did a 50 dollar tee become a family heirloom that must survive to be passed on to future generations...of course its disposable. Even a custom tee would be disposable, it's simply about fit for those who don't fit the norm. You don't expect them to last forever and you don't expect them to do anything a regular tee wouldn't do just fit you better which some of us are willing to pay a slight premium on.

I don't really consider $50 for a T shirt a slight premium but to each his own.

Custom dress shirts and button ups are in fact made to last, not be thrown away after being worn 5-7 times. You can get a near perfect fit from a standard euro fit slim tee like the one I mentioned above for $13. Custom tailoring for a t shirt is overkill.

I agree with Suits- this thread is a bit [Image: gay.gif]

What's wrong with plain old Champion sweats and Hanes Tees?

Save checking out your gains in the mirror for when you are done lifting and are getting nekkid with all the other dudes in the locker room. [Image: lol.gif]

If only you knew how bad things really are.

Hahaha and again I didn't mean fashion to wear in the gym but I can't edit my first post after an hour but I wrote it later in the thread. Mainly meant clothes that look good on a muscular physique to wear out of the gym.

Hahaha i'm glad I don't have the issue i've seen reported many times of naked old men in locker rooms. Might just be the time of day I go as there's not many around in the early afternoon.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, i'll have a look later.. as i'm actually about to goto the gym. First I have to spend 3 hours looking good before I can go though! [Image: tongue.gif]

What's wrong with stuff like this? Light, keeps you cool and you won't smell as much. You can get them with in any colour or even a design if you want. Look good at the gym and on the way too and from the gym if you don't change there or after.

Even if you sweat a lot like me your shirt should be dry not too long after working out.

If you're in the states you can buy stuff like this for like $20.

Well it's a good thing you don't have to buy them then. If 35 dollars more was stressing me out I would have bigger problems than what shirt to buy.

Why are you comparing them to a custom dress shirt. We're not talking a bespoke piece custom fit on Saville Row, that is a big commitment to your wardrobe. We're again talking about a simple m2m for 50 bucks for individuals who have a fit that isn't industry standard. Quite simply put if you don't have the problem you don't know the problem. If you can fit the uniqlo shirts without issue, awesome, some of us can't so continuing to argue that 13 bucks is good enough is a waste of our time. I'm not telling anybody to get these just offering suggestions as to what has worked for someone who has had a lot of issues with ill fitting tees and another possible alternative.

Why do you care what you look like at the gym? You aren't there to show off gains, you are there to make gains.

Express tees and American Rag from Macy's are my go to tees for showing off my muscular build. You may need to put the American Rag tees in the dryer a couple times for them to really show you off.

A Gold's Gym wife beater with a low cut neckline that actually goes below your pecs.

Alphalete, which is Christian Guzman's brand, has some stylish-muscle fit gear. Link here

My go to is Banana Republic Soft Wash V-neck Tees and Unbranded denim (Raw denim). Both relatively cheap and tapered fits.

Athletic Recon is great stuff. Nice designs and not ridiculously expensive.

Track & Field is a Brazilian brand that has great stuff, it lasts forever, not crazy expensive, and is cut really well. If you can get to a store I would check it out.
