Ljubljana or Zagreb

Ljubljana or Zagreb

Hey guys,

I am planning a 4-day trip (from Thursday to Sunday) on the first weekend of June. I can choose between Ljubljana or Zagreb.
I am an 25 yo Italian guy, quite good looking (typical mediterranean looks) and well-educated.
My English is good. Besides that, I can speak some broken Russian (and read the cyrillic alphabet).
I will be travelling SOLO.
I have already travelled to several Eastern-European countries (Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania).

Ljubljana, as far as I've read, should be quite small, and it gets empty when the academic year finishes (i don't know how it would be from June 2nd to 5th).
Zagreb, on the other side, is way bigger and with more options when it comes to clubs and bars.

Which one would be your pick for the first weekend of June, provided that Ljubljana would be easier and cheaper for me to get to?

Many thanks.

Zagreb has pretier chicks. Slovene girls are weird, but a bit easier to pick up. For nightlife Zagreb is better, I suggest Jarun which has a lot of night clubs and quite a good beach. The first weekend of June is OK for any of these cities, because they are not empty and students from other cities are still there. Girls from that populations are the best "victims" for pick up.

For a short trip Ljubljana is perfect if you haven't been before. You might get bored after a while and it's considerably more expensive than Zagreb, but that's not really relevant for four days.
The girls in Ljubljana are beautiful and in my experience open to cold approach. Report back what you chose and how you liked it...

Many thanks for the input, guys!
My only concern is: will there be enough people on that weekend, considering that it's supposed to be exams period...

Oh, any advice on pipelining in Slovenia?

They are both good, and both pretty easy citites to make it happen in. Especially Zagreb I just literally returnead back from there yesterday we both met and banged chicks we knew and didnt know I was there for three days he was there for two.... Literally everytime I go to Zagreb there are females out and about in clubs and parties just staring pretty much begging you to come walk over and talk to them.

I have come to the conclusion that Zagreb could be a better pick for the first weekend of June (since it will be exam period in Ljubljana - hence all the students will probably be stuck at home, studying for their finals).
I am now looking for accommodation. Which is the best area in Zagreb, logistically speaking? Maybe Jelacic square

Yep, anything close to Jelacic square will do, as a lot of the city's nightlife takes place around its vicinity.

If I'm not mistaken, the cheapest hotel in the city center is Hotel Jadran. It's within walking distance of Jelacic square. 3 stars, nothing special, but I believe it offers the best cost-benefit ratio.

If money is not an issue for you, then you can go for something like Hotel Dubrovnik. It's right on Jelacic square, but it should score you points with our local gold-diggers, should you meet any.

Thank you!
I think I will rent an apartment: there are a lot of cool ones around Jelacic square, at an average price of Eur 40,00/night.
From your reply I assume you are from Zagreb. Any piece of advice on gaming there?

Personally I have found the girls in Zagreb to be easy.

Been there for 3 days, but did not have the time to hunt, I was for work.

One friend of mine, white american guy got 2 bangs from 2 girls which were 7 in 3 days there.

One was Croatian, the other Serbian.

I suppose Ljubjlana would be easier.

I'm still a beginner so I can't give much advice, but Roosh visited Croatia three years ago and from my limited experience almost everything he wrote here stands:

Ljubljana or Zagreb

Actually I was in both Ljubljana, Slovenia and Zagreb, Croatia last April. My advice is to go to both cities. Between both cities, it's an 1.5 hour drive by car and a train ride is about 2.5 hours. Ljubljana is small, yet charming and I think I've met my Melania. I've never-ever in my life thought I would meet (bang) a woman that hot. But I also have the melanin advantage (no Black guys there except an African guy who spoke little English). The nightlife in Ljubljana is lacking, but Slovenia is a eco-country with a lot of nature activities to do. If you can, see some other nearby cities/areas in Slovenia like Lake Bled or Piran (an Adriatic coastal town with the pure charm of Europe and the freshest seafood I've ever had) or even go to Trieste, Italy (just note there are a lot of Africans in Italy). Slovenia is a small country, but it's close to other countries - about 1-2 hours by car.

Zagreb is bigger, more like a mini-metropolis with more of a nightlife than Ljubljana. I did fairly well with the women there. Many people in Zagreb smoke cigarettes and as a non-smoker, I had to adjust to indoor smoking, but check out the winebars and coffeehouses in Zagreb. Also, I did a Day tour of Zagreb and it covered all I needed to see there. In Zagreb, do a tour to Plitvice Lakes National Park. It's an UNESCO World Heritage site of natural waterfalls. Also, if you have more time, go to the coastal cities like Split and Dubrovnik. They suppose to have the hottest girls per my local tour guide to Budapest. I went on a day Budapest tour to test the waters there and the game potential is definitely there.

Anyway, I think June will be a good time as the weather should be great, but tourism may be a little high there. I went in April - right in the beginning of tourist season, but it a was a little cold & rainy on part of my trip. As far as the food, I find the food to be fresher and cheaper than in the USA. You can drink water from the faucet and you can easily find truffles/truffle oil there for lower prices - especially in Zagreb.

Oh, my least expensive flight was to Ljublana via an extended layover in Helsinki by Finnair. Helsinki (well most of Scandinavia as told to me by Europeans) is IKEA built and bland. The people in Helsinki are nice and the city is livable (well maybe not in the winter), but it lacks the charm that both Ljubljana, Slovenia and Zagreb, Croatia have, but I got a bang there and one that could have happen but it was 2 hours before my flight back to the USA, but next time. And if you are in Helsinki for an extended layover, you can take a ferry to Tallinn, Estonia where I hear has some pretty women.

And lastly, a Border Patrol Note:
Finland, Italy and Slovenia are part of the Schengan area - meaning I only had to go thru customs in Finaland, my 1st point of entry. Fairly new in joining the EU, Croatia is Not part of the Schengan area, thus you will have to go thru their border patrol to enter Croatia and if returning to Slovenia, you will have to go thru Slovenian/EU border patrol. Oh, and all foreigners in Croatia must be registered with the local police precinct. I think hotels would do that for you, but look into that.

I'm currently in Zagreb, and heading to Ljubljana afterwards. I'll give some feedback here, after my trip, on which of these 2 cities was the best. Meanwhile, if there are local wings living in either Zagreb or Ljubljana (or other travelers), send a message to meet up.

I'm in the U.S. but will second most of what ratoj9 says. In addition to Lake Bled, check out the Skocjan caves.

My favorite between these 2 cities would be Zagreb. Here is why: The women are very attractive. There seemed to be better nightlife. Daygame was better. And Croatia is a more interesting country than Slovenia.

However, like Ljubljana, Zagreb isn't really that touristic.

I visited Ljubljana in holiday season though, during which the city was quite empty (I was there last week). Thus this probably influenced my experience and choice.

I totally agree. Been in both cities and the quality is way higher in Zagreb and the clubs are also better.
