I'm very happy with my title. Parque Lleras is cool. I've been around the city, including the hood, universities, parks, etc. There are parts that are nice... but, well, a lot has been said already on the forum. I'm happy I came, but I am happy as well with my title. Its pretty ghetto in many places, nice scenery sometimes (for Colombia).. =)

Now if this 9.5 in the gym works out, I'll change the title to "Medellin: Paradise". But, I think my title now is more accurate no matter what I say in the future. Hehe.

So I guess a more politically correct title would have been "Dumber Little Cousin"... so go ahead and mentally replace it anyone if needed. I was in a strange mood when I wrote the post.

So, G in terms of Bogota vs. Medellin... I posted somewhere else I had a weird first impression of Bogota because I was in a weird part of Chapinero that was kind of ghetto when I got there so I thought basically all of Colombia was a cracked out warzone. Northern Bogota is cool.

Zona Rosa in Bogota is nowhere near as cool as Parque Lleras in my opinion at night. Nightlife is WAY better in my opinion in Parque Lleras as you go there on Friday and Saturday and it is literally poppin. I mean a lot of action, a lot of people, and people generally friendly. A bit more international (seems like it)... to me Bogota has a lot of people but it seems like they literally are just sitting around at tables - like I think you mentioned before. Although actually you hit more spots then me and saw some other things I think. I went downtown in Bogota too - out at different places.. a lot fell into the "ok" category.. which basically means like once in a while you could find a gem kind of deal.

So it was kind of the opposite impression I got in Medellin because I arrived and found a 3 bedroom apartment in a high rise walking distance to Parque Lleras for 1.4M pesos for the month which is sort of an unreal deal.. and I tooled around El Poblado and thought.. wow you know Medellin kicks ass... also my first night out I saw a legitimately hot 5'10" model like chick kissing some TOOL of a gringo who was older.. but not so much a tool that I thought she was a pro.. although, its likely he could be "funding" her in one way or another.. there are always ways around that if needed.. (a different story).. anyway.. I thought ok I like this place..

Walked around the next day the park and saw a few more hot chicks.. and after being in Cali Colombia I thought.. wow, a place in the world that at least in a concentrated area has chicks somewhat on par with South Beach. Even throughout 6 countries in Asia didn't see that. Don't see it most of the US, and didn't see it in Cali or Bogota.

So, Parque Lleras has that - a concentrated area of hot chicks for the most part. And I guess you could say El Poblado. For example, the gym I go to Forma (say you are a student and the price is 115,000 for a month)... they have legit hot chicks walking around in there. The gym is for the most part on par with nice gyms in the US - although it looks like a military base from the outside LOL.. anyway..

So the opposite was true in Medellin.. I thought it was possibly ALL going to be like that, had a great first impression.. and the truth is outside this little bubble (which is a lot SMALLER of a bubble than south beach).. its just "normal" in my opinion. What is "normal"? More along the lines of Tampa or LA or San Diego.. although probably not as good as San Diego.. like you see a hot chick once in a while.. but buildings are torn up sometimes, things are old looking sometimes.. just a lot of "normal" people. Which is cool, again, if you had never been to South Beach coming from the midwest where I'm from you'd come to Medellin and you WOULD think possibly everything is better here. But, its a normal, Colombian scene outside of Parque Lleras chicks wise. I'm sure you can find a gem. But, its nothing on par or better than Miami AND surrounding areas in terms of ass - it doesn't compare.. HOWEVER, it is actually a place where there are legit hot chicks. I mean hot like ACTUALLY hot not hot like I'm stuck in Michigan and this 7 is a 9.

However, that being said, I've found myself being happy with 7s or 7.5s that can communicate like normal human-beings, are nice, not hookers, etc. here. The hookers, in reality, aren't necessarily that hot here either. Or anywhere else. I suppose, in reality, that 9.5 or 9 as she may be ... could be a hooker in some definition of the word. She will likely lie to me next time I talk to her.. although, I sometimes have a way of being so honest the truth comes out.

I now speak the spanish of a 5-6 year old which is pretty retarded in a way.. but in Bogota, near the beginning, I was going out 5 times with a semi-hot attorney and spoke ZERO spanish. So for me its an improvement and I was so stubborn in Miami I never learned it. So I can communicate and a lot of times it amuses chicks... the smart ones that understand English and the USA is a place where most of the time it might not be a problem to walk outside at 9pm.

The dumber girls here do not understand that English is spoken by 90% of the business world internationally. Someone else mentioned this in another thread, and it is true - in Bogota they are more likely to understand they are part of a bigger world than in Cali or Medellin. I would agree with that.

Anyway.. the truth for me is that I may start a business here, I have hired a girl online who is making progress, I may have sold advertising for something here, I am exploring a "foreign branch" on a "Business Visa" and it could involve hot chicks in a legitimate (non-porn) way.

BTW... another guy's paradise here is that in his apartment he has a web cam studio setup and fairly hot chicks fucking their snatch with a vibrator all day.. I think he fucks them too, but you have to pay. This model also can work for some people.. to be honest.. it is tempting if you could get the really hot ones.. but, I'm not up for paying. Its funny I'm arguing about $30 bones but I was pissed.

In general, Colombia makes my time in Miami Beach look like I was living the good life.

It was touch and go there in Miami Beach and not EVERY night but over 5 years I had some hilarious experiences I just can't see happening here.

However, in Cali I did pull a first-day bang with probably an 8 that was a pretty hot black chick, in great shape, great body actually could do her makeup, etc... its just rare here. Girls ACT conservative. Girls online ARE a pain in the ass.... but SEEM really interested and friendly. Things are DEFINITELY not run as well here obviously as the US and even, amazingly, Miami. However, there are a lot of good people as well that seem to get things done - which you do find sometimes in Miami too.

There just isn't the access to quantity of hot chicks here as Miami and surrounding areas. The pool in the building here is probably considered nice, but it doesn't compare to the pool at the Gansevoort. Same with the gym - they charge here for 1 month 170k a month - almost $100. LOLOLOL. For the David Barton at the Gansevoort then at that rate it'd be $300 a month or they would likely charge that.

The concept of "quality" in Colombia is off because these girls and people are obviously not comparing it on a global scale.

And these gringos that come down here and try to "prove to them" or "kiss their ass" are funny to me because they aren't THAT HOT enough to warrant it in my opinion. Now if I never saw SE Florida.. and I'm coming from Michigan.. ok.. maybe I can see that. But, I don't know - other than that - its not THAT good. I had an apartment that was expensive when I owned it down to $1300-$1400 a month for a 760 sq ft studio (huge) in the Roney Palace / Gansevoort with 5-star amenities and that was it.

So this idea that these girls are nicer or better in Colombia and also Asia just isn't true to me. You take a "independent" US bitch and you break her in meaning you tell her how shit is going to go, you actually MAKE MORE MONEY than her so she respects you and you are dominant.. and she is just as nice or nicer to you BY FAR and is not on you like a leech for $5 constantly and doing the call and hangup thing. I don't know, I'll take more intelligent, hotter chicks any day of the week.

However, would it be a good place here to be "known" and stuff - hell ya it would. And I'm interested in doing that. But, its a pain in the ass if you aren't. Many say the same about Miami Beach, but I don't agree. Its easier in my opinion if you are confident, in shape, and not a complete lunatic. OR if you go out and simply get a VIP table, etc.

And the payoff is BIGGER. So, that's the story in my opinion.

I find myself much more tolerant here than in Miami. I used to get upset about shit in Miami I don't get upset about here because its Colombia - like people, time, logistics, etc. I figure Miami, because in theory its in the US, should not have the same problems.. and actually, it is worse here than in Miami. So what I hated about Miami I am tolerant of in Colombia. And it makes me actually think miami isn't so bad. LOL.

My latest thought is to find a tall, super-hot, bisexual chick who likes to travel and pickup girls. Actually, I don't care where she is from. Then all of these places, I think, would be much better. It doesn't matter where you are with the right company.

Its unusual to compare Miami to Medellin (or vice-versa) IMO. It's like comparing Fargo, ND to New York City - 2 different worlds.

Women in Medellin struggle their whole lives to find "the one man" who will be a provider and someone who will not cheat, while they themselves are "descaradas" as men call them, and fuck their bosses in motel rooms during lunch hours. Another thing to note: women in Medellin have little culture or knowledge outside of Medellin or even Colombia for that matter. Sure, they are students well into their late 30's, but Culture, society, life prepares them to use their powers of sex to eventually secure a man that can take her out pf poverty for good.

For the ones who are well-off, they are looking for big fish in their own pool, but using the same techniques the poor girl is doing. I should write a book: "Rich Girl, Poor Girl"

You will never have the experiences in Medellin that you had in Miami over a 5 year lifespan. The culture is different, and motives are entirely different. Girls in Miami are entitled, and have it all - so they are not looking to secure a non-cheating, provider man - they are looking to secure a high-status man, to give them more of the attention their daddy did not give them.

Also, it is very rare that any rich person in MDE is rich without having some sort of connection or link to a drug cartel. I'm serious about this. The connection can be a cousin, uncle, former boss, employee, ex-lover it does not matter - any rich person is connected directly or indirectly to a cartel - period. Not all money in Miami is drug-related.

I'm not kidding when I tell you I can write a book about the stories I have tucked in my head from 15 years of travelling to Colombia and chasing local women. The sweet spot in Medellin was Mid-90's. Man, I miss those times.

Restaurants and bars gringos owned were "taken". My biz wouldn't be "visible" but still I've had to think about whether I want to deal with any such nonsense. Then again, there is nonsense in Miami as well and payoffs often can be "campaign contributions" for companies in the US.
