A video proposal worked with actress Mila Kunis. Will it produce the same result with U.S. soccer goalie Hope Solo?
Kunis generated a serious buzz in Hollywood and throughout the U.S. military when she accepted a sergeant's YouTube invitation to accompany him to the annual Marine Corps ball. Sgt. Scott Moore, who is stationed in Afghanistan, posted a video asking Kunis to be his date. After her "Friends with Benefits" co-star Justin Timberlike showed her the video, Kunis agreed to attend the ball with Moore on Nov. 18 in Greenville, North Carolina.
Inspired by this longshot paying off, Captain Nassar Jabour, who is also stationed in Afghanistan, produced a YouTube video asking Solo to go with him to the Austrian Officers Ball. One of Jabour's fellow soldiers was on Solo's Twitter page and suggested it would be a good fit.
"He said that you went to Austria and loved it, and you respected guys in the military," Jabour says on the video. "So all I wanted to do is invite you to the Austrian Officer's Ball. It's in Vienna on the 20th of January. And if you want to get to know me in the meantime, I'd love to have a pen pal."
Jabour has no problem being labeled a copycat.
"Yes, I am absolutely riding the coattails of the Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake thing," Jabour says. "Can you blame me?"

Curious, would you go out with a celeb even though you knew it was just a good PR opp for her and at the end of the night, all you were going to be able to do was go home, think about her in the dress she wore for the evening, and fap away?
