The Occult History of The Third Reich

This is a must see for WW2 and history buffs. From 1992, I found this 4 part documentary on the mythology and background of the Nazi Party.

It really is a must see if you are interested in those subjects. We get to learn everything about Guido Von List, Madame Blavatsky, Runes, Swastika, Lantz, Thule Society, SS, Heinrich Himmler and much more. It really is a masterpiece which brings much needed nuance to what exactly the Nazi party actually was (hint: much of it was imported from UK and US, particularly the nasty eugenics). It's only told by tonnes of contemporary footage.

This is really very interesting so I won't spoil too much, but the stuff on German/Nordic mythology of Guido Von List and the Tibetan mystic Blavatsky, shows that the Nazi party were simply followers, including Adolph Hitler of a romantic neo-luddite movement which began many years prior and which was typical - not unique - in Europe and US. A new religion based on equal parts Darwin and paganism.

Part 1 - Introduction

Part 2 - Rise of the SS and Himmler

Part 3 - Swastika and other Teutonic Runes

Strange, sure it's not you? I don't see any signs that these should be protected they're obviously not by the original producer.

I think there's a similar documentary on Netflix. I watched something like that last year.

One of Hitler's henchmen was restoring a castle, which was to be the seat of Nazi occultism. They were into some strange stuff.

The nazi's had some hilarious ideas, like building a giant mirror and putting it in front of the sun to direct sunlight and vaporize full cities. They were some crazy fucks, that for sure.

It is an exaggeration to say that occult beliefs were entirely behind Nazism. But Nazis were big on the issue, and Heinrich Himmler was beyond doubt the chief driving force behind Nazi occultism , neo-paganism, and archaeology.

Hitler was always rather pragmatist. While he definitely approved neo-pagan tendencies of many of Nazi ideologists, because of his goal to elevate Aryan spirituality above Christian values which he considered sentimental and reactionary, he considered much of Himmler's interest in magic and occult a folly, or as he put it "hocus-pocus".

Still, Hitler wasn't afraid of ambition of his subordinates, and he considered it a positive trait of a pure Aryan. So he gave them great personal freedom in managing their posts, which Himmler used to pursue freely his interests. From search for Holy Grail, to investigating medieval witchcraft and magic, to sometimes levitating towards monotheism, nordic neo-paganism, initiation societies, and above all SS, which was highly influenced by Himmler and whose members allegedly took parts in occult rituals.

It is almost possible to say that Himmler's Nazism was a special branch, much different than Hitler's. It is because of these deeply rooted intellectual foundation behind Himmler's belief in Aryan supremacy, that Hitler considered him highly reliable, and hence, Himmler's betrayal put him into rage and disbelief.

Not less was influential in Himmler's interest his education in Agronomy. As we know, it is agriculture that was foundation stone for first human civilizations, and it was agricultural motives that spawned ancient cult, religions, symbols and superstitions.

If Himmler wasn't a perpetrator of such horrific crimes, he would have probably been one of the authorities in the matter.

Hitler was not much of a mystic, there's nothing to suggest so. I haven't read Mein Kampf, but don't think there is anything in there.

The ideology behind nazism was definitely occultist though and Hitler apparantly played little part in formulating the principles. According to this documentary he was simply a reader and student of the works of Blavatsky and List, but so were many others.

I would agree about Hitler's strongest spiritual interest being agrarianism - Blut und Buden, but not sure if Himmler was very interested in that. Hitler definitely glorified the agrarian life.

What is interesting about the Nazis, is what they accomplished with a society and economy fully in their control. It is a damn shame that the mystic research and antropological research of the Nazis was lost and off limit, because they really did do a lot of interesting excavations and studies on everything from Tibet to Central American cultures.

Don't know it there is an english translation. I have a book from E.R. Carmin - Das schwarze Reich - Geheimgesellschaften (The black Reich - secret societies)
Its quite a thick book with a lot of occult stuff. How much is true? Who knows.

We will stand tall in the sunshine
With the truth upon our side
And if we have to go alone
We'll go alone with pride

For us, these conflicts can be resolved by appeal to the deeply ingrained higher principle embodied in the law, that individuals have the right (within defined limits) to choose how to live. But this Western notion of individualism and tolerance is by no means a conception in all cultures. - Theodore Dalrymple

The Occult History of The Third Reich

Came across this recently:

It's not very thorough at all, but the connection to Heinrich Schliemann's discovery at Troy was interesting.

Also, it makes you consider that if Germany imported lots of Hindus instead of Muslims, the Germans would have to repeal their ban on displaying the swastika.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

Ban on swastika is stupidity of bureaucracy and pop politics.
