Who am I to have this opinion? I work as business immigration lawyer. I've also done policy advisory work for committees to facilitate global immigration. From my estimation, immigration is the best measure of racial, religious, and cultural tolerance we have. The European mentality is to consistently blame and marginalize other groups. Who said they were pristine, liberal minded angels? Many are anything but liberal in their views and I have no problem with that! Why should they be criticised for taking a different approach or having a different view of things? I swear, I dont think there is anything in the world more intolerant than your typical liberal. Either its their way or you are the biggest piece of scum known to man. Its like we cannot possibly fathom for a minute that we may not be right about everything.

See this is half the problem. Because in the west we have little tolerance for nationalism, racism, sexism, and all the other isms out there we immediately slander any other group that does not share those views. For gods sake, we are talking about cultures and systems of belief hundreds of years old while ours is still in its infancy. The civil rights movement is hardly even out of the womb, yet westerners in general slam their ideologies down the throats of others and have the audacity to get upset when those views are rejected by cultures far older than ours.

Do you think some Russian really wants to hear about your views on the Jews when Jews brought communism to Russia? Do you think the Greeks want to talk about cultural diversity and how it applies to Turkey when they have been at war on and off for 5000 years? What about a Jew who has to listen to some liberal with a subscription to News Weekly complaining about the poor treatment of the Palestinians? Do you think some Arab in Dubai wants hear again how you dont agree with the way they treat women? Do you think some Pom wants to hear another stupid comment about their colonialist past?

This is 90% of the problem bro. People dont have time for Americans because as this thread has shown, there are well travelled people here sprouting out bullshit about "the strongest nation in history" or passing comment on shit like "cultural diversity".

How would you feel if you sat opposite a Muslim and he told you that your wife is a whore because she does not wear a burka, your son is destined for hell because he is homosexual and your country is a run by corrupt warlords who only care about oil riches? You would no doubt be offended, although clearly seem to be the sort who would have no problem telling him he treats his wife like shit because she is in a burka, should love his homosexual son regardless of the fact that he will burn in hell while you tell him he is from a country that produces nothing but terrorists riddled with Islamic fever.

Western Europe is also far more progressive the USA, Canada, England, Australia and New Zealand in most cases. That is hard to dispute. Its why the place is starting to fall to pieces now.

Im tapping out of this thread. People who travel I expect more from. This close minded shit is a joke. Maybe the reputation thats offended so many here IS well deserved.

Well done HH. Just read your post and you are spot on; we should expect much more from those who travel and, as an American, my greatest disappointment has been the fellow Americans I have met while abroad. Loud, arrogant and ignorant - the trifecta of travel.

Personally, I find Americans fun to be around (until they start talking politics or religion).

Generally Europeans are classier yes, but at the same time distinctively more boring and serious.

Decent looking American guys with decent game do well in Germany - just like anybody else with these qualities.

Racism is the one of the big problem across the whole world. But Asian countries are best for people of all countries because Asian don't hate any foreign people whether they are white or black or belong to any region or religion. The best places are India, Thailand and Malaysia.
