Planning my first trip to Amsterdam from Canada. Please Help!

Hello guys, this summer i am going to Amsterdam for about a week and really want to get the most out of it. I would really like some help on getting the best prices on flights and hotel and also any useful information or recommandation on what to do and visit.

For canadians like my self, where do you buy your flights? And what websites are the best for hotels?

Also is weed still available for tourist in coffee shops?

Thank you!

Tourist can get weed. Stay within the center if possible. Rijksmuseum is good for classic art. Just walk around the city center, Vondelpark, thats the best to do, people watching and strolling.

Specific things for going out are related to WHEN exactly you visit as nightlife can be more event based than venue based.

If going in the summer. Aim for the festivals. There are plenty every weekend close to amsterdam. That's where the locals go. In town, it's all tourists.
For the prettiest girls, look for e.g.

Not the most fun and wildest parties though, but the quality of the girls . . .
PS: Amsterdam is a city of 7's and 8's. Don't expect too many 10's, but if you go to the right places. . . there seems to be an endless pool of 7&8

It all depends on what you want to do. For both day- and nightgame you should go outside Amsterdam if you want locals. But you are there only for a week. Best bet:
- book a direct flight through kayak.com
- book an AirBnB apartment (expensive) or a hostel with lockable bathroom doors (StayOk Vondelpark comes to mind)
- use hostel breakfasts to meet girls, especially those who want to smoke weed
- do walking tours and pub crawls during the week. Good for meeting tourists
- go to 1-2 festivals in the weekend but do not expect to pull unless you can sleep there and have tight game
- go outside Amsterdam to meet locals or see local culture

Don't completely agree. Most festivals in amsterdam area are one day festivals. People go home or to after parties afterwards. You will need tight game to be taken home by a good quality girl though

Does anyone have an opinion on which city is better Copenhagen or Amsterdam? I'm checking out business schools in both cities and want to also be around nice-looking women as well!
