The guy seems pretty dedicated and pretty entertaining but he lost me when he picked up packets of "protein oatmeal" which have 12g of sugar more than original oats and also going to get fast food.

Why would that lose you? Having 2 pros as long time training partners and guys who were competing in nats going for pro cards as good friends, fast food is a way of life. Meticulous eating is for small guys, they aren't shitting themselves over 12g of sugar until prep.

I've just gained 4kg in a month, but that was after losing 6km while travelling throughout November/December. Muscle memory is truly a beautiful thing. For a beginner starting from scratch, 14 kg of clean weight naturally in 4 months is close to impossible, even with a strict diet and intense workout routine.
