Yeah, I have to say, importance doesn't really do it for me at all. I tried to entertain the idea for a second, but nothing budged.
What I do get some seriously intense ego gratification out of is having the hottest woman in a place on my arm. I've always loved that feeling. So if a bird is important in the sense that she's plastered across the TV not just because she's talented but because she's drop dead gorgeous and now most straight guys in the world would give a right nut to fuck her, sure, that that kind of importance would thrill me.
Because she's hot, yeah, but if I were to be honest about the underlying emotions, it's more because of how it reflects on me than anything.
Beyond that, I'd take the unimportant stunner over the fuckable CEO, senator, or celeb any day of the week.
