Have you guys ever discussed the possibility of an anual RooshV International convention/Meetup?

With the continuous growth of the forum,it would be great to held an event in an interesting city every year.Maybe starting in The US or the UK (Where most members are located) and then expanding to other dope spots.It would be great,Like a World Cup of players from all over the World..lol

Count me in. I'll throw out a few ideas:

1. 6 months advance notice so we can save up money and vacation time.

2. Select a mid-range city that all level of playas can swoop.

3. Award ceremony at the end for hottest bang, quickest lay, funniest pickup line, ect.

4. Most of us in the U.S. and U.K. are trying to go abroad to chase tail, so maybe somewhere in Brasil?


In any event it would be a hell of a party.

I'd say let's pick a country that everyone can easily get to, with minimum Visa requirements.

Brazil, Russia require US/Canadian citizens to get Visas.

The ideal first spot that everyone cab get to Hassle-free is Colombia. My second choice would be Finland.

It should be during summer months of June-Sept. Which would not make Brazil an ideal location as it is winter.

Also, the host country should have a resident host that has local social connections and knows the spots to maximize our trip.



December is the best time in Colombia because school is officially out and all the parties pre-Christmas going on.

This has crossed my mind many times, though--in my imagination--I've always thought it would have to be an invitation only event. Otherwise, it would be too easy for trolls, spies, Jezebels, and other undesirables to show up. The SysOp would have to select those that "qualify" for admission and you'd have to be "on the list" in order to enter (like in a douche-bag club).

I imagine it like an academic conference, with cats presenting "papers" and having round-table discussions on certain topics during the day (e.g., Loose Pussies in the 21st Century, Gaming When You Just Finished Taxing, Alternative "Birth Control" Methods). There would also be day-game and night-game outings. I'm sure it would be a memorable week.

If this ever happens, my vote would be in a place where the English is the primary language, or at least widespread enough to avoid language difficulties. I like Montreal, Canada or Fargo, ND for the first one.

Colombia is too far away for a comfortable trip for West Coast; probably for Europe as well. I checked it up, and there are no flights at all from SFO to Colombia less then nine hours, and it takes ten hours to get from SFO to Amsterdam.

I'd suggest Thailand. For most of us it is so far away that everyone would be equally annoyed to get there. And at such distance it doesn't really matter if you have to fly 18 hours or 22 hours to get there ))

Completely agree with Tuthmosis on the language, somewhere English is the primary language or at least widely spoken. Or at least a place where you are not totally at a disadvantage not knowing the language fluently.

That said, given a 6 month notice, it should be possible to pick up the local language to a certain extent. And plus it is an incentive to learn another language if you already don't know it! So win-win situation.

I don't think that it is to hard to get a US/canadian tourism Visa, if you have a booked hotel and a return plane ticket.but this off course requires a deeper discussion on where to held the Summit.And we have to keep the costs down(Finland,Russia maybe too expensive?)

I think it should be in a developed/semi-developed country. Places like DR and Thailand are just overrun with prostitutes. Colombia may be a great start. Somewhere in Europe or Scandanavia as well. Being invitational only does have its plusses and minuses. For instance, only those with a minimum of 100 posts, 500 posts etc can attend. Or those who have purchased a roosh book etc.... But, on the other hand, how many would actually go? so,,, having an invitational only policy won't suffice.

People do have meetups,,, how many actually go to those? I just wonder which area/city has the most rooshv forum members? As mixx mentioned,,, a place like colombia would be great for many people b/c of the lax visa restrictions and it already has romance tours for those gringos who are seeking a wife. So meeting centres, banquet facilities where a big group can meet like in medellin for instance could work.

They already have meetups on one particular site http://www.romancelatina.com. Yes, its mostly mongers, but if they can do it with their numbers, it can probably work on rooshv.com.

I've thought of this but decided against it. Guys are already meeting and planning trips through the forum, so there is no need for some type of conference where you're forced to interact with people who you may not yet have connected with online.

If we all lived in one city it would be logical, but it's a lot of investment to travel somewhere to talk game with some guys. A better idea is to keep things more local, with guys in one city meeting up (like DC). Otherwise it would be a logistical nightmare without too much benefit.

Good idea but IMO, it would be a mistake to limit that convention just to PUA stuff. A big part of what makes this forum a good place to hang out is the info on the travel side and that guys who are location independent hang around here. If this forum was only on PUA, I can bet you anything that half of the most interesting people would not be posting here, yours truly included. So to make this convention even more beneficial and interesting is to include topics like making money on the road, tax strategies, sharing ideas on where are the hot spots to invest, to set up businesses, open offices etc...All in all, if this convention were to be just on PUA stuff, I wouldn't bother with it. However, make it a convention on business, travel and girls for the location independent guys, then people would gladly attend.

This goes without saying, though I'm glad you made this distinction. Very few cats on this board consider themselves "PUAs," in the traditional sense--myself included--which is a big part of what makes this community special, and different from 99.9 percent of any other game boards. The true asset of this board is its density of quality members.

Any (fantasy) meeting or convention would have to be like that, which is why most guys, in the end I think, would insist on what I've suggested: a limited, invitation-based attendance list. For guys that didn't make the list on the first pass, there could be a straight-up application process--but that'd be limited too. This would prevent random clowns, haters, and noobs from crashing the party.

There's no question that we'd talk about way more than game. This would be part bro-fest, part lifestyle huddle, part travel. It would be good to press the flesh (no homo) of some of the guys that we've been "talking to" for months or years.

Even the game we would discuss would be anti-game, in a way. For instance, we wouldn't talk about "peacocking," we'd talk about dressing crispy and just plain looking good.

If it ever happens, count me in. If I'm invited, that is.

I would even go so far as to say that it definitely should not be just about Game or Girls.

Rather as a few others mentioned an all round event with substantial doses of business/money, lifestyle, travel & well, girls/game would be pretty neat IMO. It probably would not generate enough interest with everyone, including myself, if it were to be just about game. As Roosh pointed out, it would be just too much hassle to go half-way around the world just to talk Game with a few others.

With regards to the invitation only issue, that should not be a huge problem really. An unofficial poll should provide at somewhat decent indication as to how many people would actually be interested in going and would seriously consider it if it were to happen.

The way I see it, a meetup of this sort has a few advantages.

- You get to hang out with people with similar lifestyle choices and perspectives

- Careful choice of locations, would ensure everyone's travel map gets even more interesting.

- You are not in a new place where you don't know anyone. You got a group of people with you and that has certain advantages

- You pick up/learn new things all the while having fun

Agreed.For me the whole purpose of a meet up would be to get to know other guys who are living a different lifestyle than the 95% of the Rat Race Morgage / Marriage guys out there.I hate commercial PUA Crap, and I never thought that I would found by chance a community of guys willing to live the same lifestyle as I do : Travel,business and pleasure.
