Its hard for me to pin down my feelings on Chile, its a country that isn't worth going out of your way to visit for the average tourist. However if your already in that part of the world it can be an interesting country. I just wouldn't linger there too long.
If your black you will be considered exotic in Chile due to their essentially non-existent afropopulation. The only blacks you will see in Chile are a handful of Dominican, Haitian and Colombian immigrants in downtown santiago. I got stared at quite often during the daytime.
During the nighttime being different worked to my advantage I got approached by girls who wanted their picture taken with me. This led to make-out sessions on more than one occasions. All and all it was an alright visit, but I probably won't be back.
