Ayahuasca: Anyone know about this concoction?

I have always been curious about trying DMT or something like this but because I have PTSD I am scared shitless of having a PTSD related attack during a drug trip. Would anybody know much about this?

I think you're correct. MDMA has been used successfully to treat PTSD as well:http://www.cnn.com/2012/12/03/health/ecstasy-ptsd-3/

It seems like psychedlic research is poised to make a comeback. There was all kinds of fascinating research being done in the 50's that was brought to a standstill by the mid-century demonization of drugs by the government.

Did anyone see Graham Hancock's TEDtalk on the subject? It was immediately criticized for being "psuedoscience" and banned by TED, but they were overwhelmed by complaints and reluctantly agreed to re-post the video on their site.

Fucked up story ^

To follow up on this thread I opened, I tried Ayahuasca a few months ago.

The short of it: just a random drug experience.

Wouldn't encourage or discourage anyone to try it really.

I didn't discover the meaning of my life or anything profound at all as others have.

Very interesting talk and I agree wholeheartedly with the message. Let us hope that soon we start to delve more into the way these drugs and our minds work. Together with the research being done on the gut now I think soon we will get some strong evolution in medicine, in understanding the way our minds and bodies operate.
