So here's an excerpt from a course I am taking. I was expecting a better representation of genders in policing but boy oh boy did those expectations shoot for the stars only to land in dog shit.
I wanted to share just to give people an example of what is taught in my class, "Gender, Crime, and Criminal Justice" at my Canadian (surprise, I know) university. This is what we are being told about campus's that are free of rape and campus's that are prone to having more rapes occur. Obviously we here can see through the B.S. of "rape-prone campus", but just to confirm that it is being taught:
Rape-free campus
sexual assault is treated as a serious offence punishable by expulsion
fraternities discourage heavy drinking
women are respected as friends rather than used as sex objects
gays and lesbians are accepted in the same way as straights
Rape-prone campus
sexual assault is not seriously dealt with
heavy drinking is encouraged
taking advantage of an intoxicated woman is accepted
bragging about sexual conquests is prevalent
homophobia is rampant
pornography is a popular guide to female sexuality
