How do you evaluate a woman's cooking?

If she can cook better than me, I'd consider putting a ring on it. Literally hasn't happened yet.

So what about a woman who has trained at Cordon Bleu in London(I don't know if they have establishments elsewhere).

You would wife her?

Wouldn't blame you if you did, my father did just that. She(my mother) has been trained in nutrition, advanced culinary techniques, kitchen/catering logistics, etc.(she doesn't use scales, she uses her eye). She imparted her skills and knowledge to me from an early age, and it has been incredibly valuable throughout my life. Being able to cook good meals from scratch is a life skill everyone should have.

Like you, I have never met a woman who can cook as good as me. I don't ever expect to.

My LTR/GF is a terrible cook. But she is willing to apply herself in the kitchen, which usually involves a colossal mess that we have to clear up, or her on the kitchen table and legs in the air. I've never eaten anything she has cooked, or, to be more truthful, she has never cooked me anything. I spare her the embarrassment.

I don't think this is answering WIA's question. I think he is asking a Game question that is going over the heads of most of us. Maybe he will reveal the meaning of his conundrum!

I don't think there's a "gotcha" here.

Of all the girl's I've put on the team or dated seriously, exactly 1 could cook.

But all of them would try to make something for me, or learn with me.

I'm not even that great of a cook truthbetold, but I'm comfortable in the kitchen. I can look at a pantry and a fridge and make something happen.

There's really only so many things you can do.

- saute/fry it
- deep fry it
- bake it
- roast it/broil it
- stew/braise it

Add some greens and some starch, and you're home.

Cooking is a life skill.

In terms of game, I've found that it's easier to get a chick to do anal or deep throat for the first time, than it is to get her cook something from scratch. That's always been super sad to me. A chick will fuck me raw on the first night, but is weird about handling raw chicken.

How do you evaluate a woman's cooking?

Only in Asia or Latin America would I have a woman cook for me. They know what they're doing, and it's likely dishes that I can't cook well. Here in the U.S. I cook all the meals I might have with a lady, as I'm almost definitely a better cook, and I want to eat well.

If you let Americans girls "cook" you'll end up eating cupcakes, maybe shitty spaghetti if you're lucky.

A few metrics:

-Rice. Does she use a rice cooker? Eliminated. Props if she doesn't need measurements.
-Meat. What does she do with a skirt steak? Has she ever marinated anything over 24 hours?
-Pasta. Is she capable of making her own sauce(s) from scratch, even if it's a simple white sauce?
-Baking. Can she make a decent, simple crumble?
-Has she prepared a turkey for thanksgiving?

Most important, does she have the willingness to learn? If she thinks it's the best idea in the world to try out cooking a brand new dish together, that's just one good sign. It's not a very strong sign though, because tons of girls I've met have loved that idea.

I've been lucky in that I've found a handful of girls my age who can cook surprisingly well. Then again, I'm not picky, and I'll be the first to admit I don't know what I'm talking about. Also of note, none of the good cooks were American.

Word. Even girls who claim they cook well think that pasta, a jar of sauce, and ground beef is spaghetti smh.

I'm a non-stereotypical "black" guy (unless I get pissed or I'm around my other black people and can just take it easy and be "real"), but white girls always cook fried chicken for me on a first date. I ask them if it's because I'm black and they always say, "Bahaha I didn't even think about that. It's just what I like/I'm good at."

The act of a women cooking should be of selflessness.

She should cook out of love for another.

I can cook better than any women I've met. The top chefs in the world are men.

I don't care what she cooks as long as it's done with (trigger warning) love.

Where did she learn how to cook?

Did she learn from her mom? If this is a yes, this is a good sign. Home cooking will beat most restaurants. Alot of families have trade and recipe secrets.

I personally learn to cook from my mom, and I can out cook alot of restaurants.

I'm not sure why you included guys in SF on this list. I hear that most of those dudes have no trouble accessing plenty of quality dick.

How do you evaluate a woman's cooking?

I think this is an especially pertinent question if you are living in a foreign country where you don't know how to prepare the local dishes and your accustomed ingredients are expensive. Living in Ghana I would get girls to cook for me all the time. Most of them see it as a duty to know how to cook and to prepare food for their man at any time it's required. Asking them early on whether they know how to cook and "challenging" them to cook for you is a good way to make them qualify themselves and get them to your house. It is not only a good way of getting them to invest, but a way of gauging how invested they already are - if a girl from a traditional society is not willing to cook for you after you have already fucked her then it really is time for anal or GTFO.

To me there are basically three main aspects of evaluating their cooking:

1. Can they make a wide variety of tasty dishes from their own culture using local ingredients? I had a girl who was raised by her Togolese grandmother and taught everything by her. Every dish she made was much better than restaurant equivalents.
2. Can they learn how to prepare new dishes? Tried this with some of the girls, it is an interesting way to bond and also test how open they are to new things.
3. Can they prepare something from scratch despite having only limited ingredients, using their skills, knowledge, and imagination? I had a Liberian girl who would amaze me with what she was able to do when both the fridge and the pantry seemed to be empty. She was like the kitchen MacGyver.

Damn. I need to find girls who know how to cook. Most of the cooking girls have done for me have been really salty or just not that great tasting. Luckily, I just eat out most of the time.

For now, it's the thought that counts. [Image: dodgy.gif]

How do you evaluate a woman's cooking?

Loving this thread. One of my questions to nearly 100% of every girl I meet is always, "so, can you cook?" While the answer is overwhelmingly no (worldwide), on rare occasions I am pleasantly surprised. Though I've probably only met maybe 5 girls in total who I would consider to have skills that are impressive. 1 Colombian, 1 Vietnamese, a couple of Italian-American chicks, and one Aussie (shocking, I know).

To add a few things here, these are what I look for, before and during the cooking process:

1) When she is cooking, does she use a recipe or cook to taste? I will watch a girl cook, and if she is tasting a sauce as it simmers, actively thinking about what she is tasting, then correctly deciding it needs more salt, seasoning, sweeteners, acid, thickeners, etc., usually it is a good sign. Even if she asks me my opinion, it is a good sign, because it shows she is conscious of what she is doing and is interested in achieving a good final result.

2) Does she have good knives in her kitchen? I'm a big knife nerd, and usually when I go to a girl's place for the first time, I will check out her kitchen equipment and setup. Sharp knives that can cut hair is usually a good sign, although it's not foolproof.

3) Knife skills. How does she cut and peel basic items like an onion? Does it look like she's done this before? Or does it look like you could be making a trip to the emergency room soon?

4) Does she clean as she goes or does she leave a massive pile of dirty shit laying around to deal with until after she is finished? I find that the chicks with the best kitchen skills will clean as they go, which is my style as well.

5) Can she respond to a challenge? One fun thing I've been doing the past couple of years is going shopping with a new girl after it has been agreed to do a cooking collaboration/date at my or her place. Usually, I will suggest to take care of the main course, then I will tell her she needs to cook a side dish or prepare a salad or a dessert. The catch is, I will go "Iron Chef Style" and tell her - using salad as an example - "You're not allowed to use lettuce of any kind, you must use cucumbers, one fruit, and the dressing has to be made from scratch, and it has to be slightly spicy, now go!" I haven't had many girls respond well to this, but the ones that have are total keepers.

I'm early 40s, so she would be a WNB for you today.

Back in the day, she turned some heads, but wasn't top tier, so probably a WNB for you again. It wouldn't be appropriate to go in to more detail. [Image: angel.gif]
