However, I think even WoW didn't start fucking it up until the end of Wrath of the Lich King expansion. All the way until then it had a viable world with a good storyline, with no hentai or time-travel bullshit.

Yeah, I got bored and quit after the end of Lich King. I think their new expansions are just pandering to their Chinese subscriber base with panda-men and gay asian-style dragons.

You are 100% correct. Mists of Pandaria was just a Chinese money grab.

Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag. We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language. And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.

WIII and Frozen Throne were some of the best RTS games ever. I played them from start to finish 20 times! I never got into WoW (and rarely play anything anymore) because I was a fan of the thing missing from most games - the single-player storyline.

The plot does seem twisted (inside joke), but if it's specifically Durotan leading a faction of the orcs, I can see an minor alliance being plausible.

Pandas are stupid not because they're pandas (we have the birdmen Arrakoa and bullmen Tauren and no one minds), but because they have been a parody and comic relief for decades and are thus absolutely unsuitable to being made into a serious race. That's why they sucked.

As for Pandaria, it sucked because it presented East Asian mythology in a childish and retarded way, not because there's anything wrong with that mythology or its dragons.

I would be surprised if Mists of Pandaria got favorable reactions even in China.

I don't know anything about WOW, but logically speaking, how is the alteration you described pro-immigrant propaganda? I assume even in this altered storyline, the Orcs are still the "evil" that is being fought by the "good" guys defending their own world? If that's the case, we can actually look at this changed plot as being more anti-refugee than the original story.

In the original story as you described it, the Orcs were evil because they had a world and but got greedy and wanted to invade other worlds. That is obviously evil.

In the altered plot, the Orcs don't have a world and are "refugees," but are still portrayed as evil and as invaders who should be killed. In other words, the altered plot supports the notion that you have the right to defend your own lands even if the people who want to invade are fleeing unfortunate circumstances.

Or maybe you're reading too much into it in order to justify your own beliefs. We all do it; some more than others.

Reading too much into this. I'm sure fans who played the games a lot are evenly split between those who liked the orcs and those who liked the humans. The scriptwriters had to make it balanced and make both sides interesting / sympathetic to appeal to the fanbase.
