Recommendations for solid onlinebrokers - ETFs

Hi!

I would like to develop a savings plan for ETFs, divided up into 70% MSCI World and 30% emerging markets.
I know only brokers who work with Euro as currency, but I need one with $.
Hence I would be very thankful if some of you guys might recommend to me a solid onlinebroker ($) for specifically ETFs.

Regards
Highlander

Are you in the US? Vanguard is the best online broker for etfs, particularly if you buy and hold. Choose their own etfs for the lowest fees and zero commission on trades.

Thanks a lot.

Unfortunately I am not in the US.
At the moment I am shortly in Poland (have been born there, so wanted to visit some family), but actually I am living in South East Asia, in Thailand.
Can I use in this case also Vanguard?

If you have access to Swedish brokers I absolutely recommend Avanza, http://www.avanza.se

You can trade overseas stock markets (not in USD, you pay Avanza's exchange rates but they're OK)

Thank you, but as already stated, I really want to keep my finances in USD.

Hey!

Within an investment forum, some people have recommended to me interactivebrokers.
Has anyone experiences with them and does know if they are for ETFs legit?

Not sure about ETFs, but Interactive Brokers is one of the best brokerages for shorting stocks in terms of availability. Also, their commission rates are among the best among other US brokers.

Keep a look out for their minimums. You need to have at least $10,000 deposited into your account unless you're under the age of 25, in which case it's $3,000.

I use IB, they will not hold your hand, they do have a large selection of products and low comms but you should really know your shit before going with them. They can and will auto liquidate you whenever their risk systems deem necessary. You can google the auto liq horror stories. If you are a beginner, I would suggest another broker.
