Secular Sins - Thou shalt not rules of society

Inspired by this post thread-51167...pid1133565

Secular sins are those things that get you cast out or shunned in western society, that require repentance, atonement or public apology.

iop890 already posted one of the cardinal secular sins...racism. Something which causes witch hunts and demands public apology.

I've noticed that "not recycling" is another secular sin. Have you ever seen the terror on someone's face when you throw a metal can into the garbage? Its priceless.

The same with smoking indoors.

What are some others that would go on the 10 commandments of secular sin?

Thou shalt not use your faculties of logic in order to refute the claims of women, homosexuals or minorities.

Thou shalt not hurt the feelings of the aforementioned groups.

Not sure how much this is an issue in other places, but in the UK there's loads of social rules surrounding queuing.

For example I've been tutted at for cutting through a queue just to reach another aisle at a supermarket, so I didn't have to walk all the way round.

Another thing is that you're supposed to let everyone get off the bus before you get on (this might just be a local thing).

The looks you get for actually expecting a waiter to do their job (as in calling them over, or sending back awful food)

Also, the amount of c**** who expect an apology after they walk in to you when they're staring at their phone screens.

1. Believing that behavioral/cognitive traits such as intelligence or violentness are real and can be measured.

2. Not believing that behavioral/cognitive traits are equal and identically distributed across individuals, and across demographics such as sex or ancestry.

If you're not rabidly pro gay, you're a homophobic, knuckledragging bigot.

As a corollary, by disagreeing with any liberal group - gays, "strong women"/feminists, socialists, etc - you are deemed afraid of said group and all of your logic can be discounted.

Yep! Only "their" opinions matter and have weight to them. Even though they tend to be the most ill-informed fucktards around.

Budgeting and saying no to frivolous things is a secular sin. I always get weird eyebrow raises when someone says something like "oh you guys should come to florida for a week with us" and I say, "sounds like fun, but we've already spent our vacation budget for the year"...like "how dare you not just put it on a credit card!!!"

Going against the libtard Hive-mind.

Standing too close to someone either in line at the supermarket or when they're withdrawing money at the ATM.

I do the ATM thing all the time too, it's hilarious. They start covering the screen with their body as they enter their PIN, then when they leave they're still looking back to see if I have somehow accessed their precious savings accounts. Calm down, motherfucker.

Homosexuals, women, trannies and certain ethnic minorities (which of course don't include East Asians) are the secular equivalents of Levites in Judaism, Saints in Catholicism, and Vestal Virgins in Roman paganism. They are all annotated holy groups who shall not be profaned without consequences.

Speaking out against the notion that everything and everyone is the same and equal and we aren't all just one indistinct blob is blasphemy against Holy (secular) writ.

Making suggestions that a woman would benefit from improving her diet and lifestyle is an invitation for her to go all medieval Inquisitor on you.

It's quite hilarious how so many progressives will rail against religion and talk about how much it stifles free expression and that it imposes certain laws that are not subject to inquiry and cannot be questioned but fail to realize that they do have their own sacred cows which they unconsciously accept without really thinking about why it is they accept them. The rise of SJWism as well as the New Atheist movement in the last decade has proved to me that this sort of mentality is not merely a religious phenomenon and that the term "secular Puritan" is no contradiction.

Thou shalt not deny ANYONE from invading your home/country

this is seen most obviously that if someone does the whole "we support refugees!" dance you are obligated to also state that you support them. silence or no answer is not an option and saying outright that maybe, just maybe we shouldn't be so eager to accept them ostracizes you. this sin can even be seen on the smaller scale where some thief breaks into someone's house, gets shot and the shitlibs complain why the house owner couldn't just leave the thief alone or "talk it out" with him

I remember years ago when grocery stores use to bag groceries in paper bags. Then one day they started using plastic bags. So I asked the clerk what happened to the paper bags? There was this social warrior type behind me admonishing me for even asking because she believed they were doing it for the environment. Now they are trying to ban plastic bags. Duh.

Given the slack-jawed stares at the last party I attended, apparently we can add pointing out that if abortion is ethically ok then so is maintaining a lobotomized clone of yourself on life support for future organ harvesting without the nuisance of anti-rejection medicine.

^ That one boggles my mind. My wife, who never went to college and my neighbor..who also never went to college say things like "our child has to go to college!!!" or "man, I bet I'd be better off if I went to college"

My reply is "I have tech school and university degrees as well as teaching experience in those places and its generally a waste of money and can be beat by work ethic, hustle and a good mentor"

yet I am somehow the one who has no idea what I am saying and am crazy.

I get why people who didn't go put college on the proverbial pedestal. At the same time, there's a strain of thought that if you went to college then you don't realize how much worse off can be who did not go.

^ They don't understand, so they'll never believe your fancy college-self when you tell them that it's not worth it. This is before you bring up the possible debt one can incur. It's something that's easy to get into but difficult to pay for... that alone should tell you something, but nobody's trying to hear it.

This girl i'm dating was all pissy that I don't have a facebook account and was not interested in getting one. She was like, well how am I going to share my life with you and all the things I like? I said, how about like we are doing right now....it's just like facebook but it's called face to face. Then she tried to say I was anti-social, but being anti-social and being anti-social media are clearly not the same thing (unless you're a millennial). She's probably just mad she can't tag me as her boyfriend so she can show off and preen for all her other lonely girlfriends.

This is so true. One succesful entrepreneur also arguing in favor of skipping higher education altogether is Peter Thiel. There are couple of excellent videos on Youtube of him dismissing higher education completely. He had this great line in one where he straight up said modern education is like the Catholic Church circa 1500s.

Not Having a Facebook account (linked to your real name)

Certain jobs expect you to have Facebook, LinkedIn is not enough. Soon Instagram will be required. I had a woman from Roomster refuse to rent to me because I had no Facebook, she said it was weird. For the record I have a fake Facebook, Instagram, and even LinkedIn for lying to women. But once a company I worked for in the past started asking people to log into social media sites and allow HR to see what is on them I closed all my real shit except LinkedIn.

The new rule it seems is there is no line between private life/public life/career, that works if you are a chick but not if you are a man, especially if you are heterosexual man.
