Implying you must go to University to get rich.

Most rich self-made people I know today didn't finish, some never even began, high school.

Going to a good college however will give you invaluable connections.

Hard work and following society's rules means you will succeed.

The problem is the actual metric for success is never specified nor the path defined.

Is success more money and empty accolodes in an equally brainwashed society? Because that's what the popular definition seems to be.

Any dipshit can make a lot of money, squirt out kids, and die early in an unfulfilled life married to some cow.

These are the actual "rewards" for most following the script in western society.

Lies We Were Told

- Be yourself
- Girls love a romantic guy
- Men and Women are equal (In the legal, biological and rights sense)
- Nerdy guys can get hot women (I have serious doubts about this)
- Girls with short hair are sexier (Thanks Tuthmosis for debunking this on ROK)
- Any thing said by a SJW.

Santa Claus is real (I hate christmas).

It's sometimes better to be wrong and have friends, than to be alone and be right. (always be right)

"People who analyze different cities/regions and think one place will give them a strategic advantage in the dating market are being ridiculous and are bound to be forever single."

That seems oddly specific. Who said this to you?

"You need a certain amount to retire." If people saved more and stopped keeping up with the Joneses certain individuals could probably afford to. Of course everyone's situation is different

In all fairness there are a million threads on here that are poorly disguised but ultimately are the above.

The first and the last are true though.

If I had a pound for every guy that has fucked himself doing squats and deadlifts...

It wasn't addressed specifically to me, but was a post by someone in a dating thread on city-data.com

It's another one of those feel-good generalizations, I believe it is true that "life is what you make of it", but location is no doubt a big factor in dating market options, not to mention a factor in many other areas leading to personal happiness.

Aww man. The dating/relationship portion of City Data is a blue pill cesspool. I spun my wheels there for so long until a member saw that I was struggling and referred me to read The Rational Male. I was to stupid to see it at the time, but that member had a different focus. Everyone else wallowed in self-pity and did not want to improve themselves. It's a huge circlejerk.

The quote you posted above was somewhat directed at me when I was considering a little bit of geoarbitrage to the Philippines. I posted in a thread and in came the type of replies you would expect -

"Mail order brides?"
"If you can't pull at home..."
"You can't attract a high quality girl..."

Then I unplug, find RVF, take my first trip, and learn otherwise....[Image: dodgy.gif] The people on that forum lack vision.I'm reading a lot of my posts on there and they are pretty cringeworthy. Feels good to have made a lot of good impact in the last few months.

I used to go on CD when I was in the process of moving just to learn about another city. Even the city/state forums are loaded with kids jerking off about places they've never been to. The whole website is 90% fluff, 10% actual helpful advice. I poked around the dating/relationships forum a little, but could not tolerate the insanity for very long.
