Quick correction needed: You linked to a story about different case than the initial one that started off this thread.

The one you linked to is about Jennifer Cramblett accidentally getting sperm from a black sperm donor. The original one was about a couple, Angela Collins and Margaret Elizabeth Hanson, getting sperm from a mentally ill donor. That's a big difference.

I'm pointing this out because the confusion will make some comments earlier in the thread (like mine) retroactively appear racially inflammatory. That was not the intent. My comment that referenced single mothers was about the original case and not this one.

My apologies if this sounds nitpicky, but with all the racial arguments on here, I think this matters. I definitely don't want to get caught up in one of *those* threads. There was no racial element to the original story.

"Jennifer’s excitement and anticipation of her pregnancy was replaced with anger, disappointment and fear."

Her claim was thrown out by the judge but she has been told to resubmit it on the grounds of negligence.

Miss Cramblett will be back in court in December.
