Medicine studies in eastern europe

Need some advice from the eastern europe-community as i have never stepped foot in any of these places before.

In 2016 i am planing to enter medical school in eastern europe. Coming from Norway there are tons of opportunities to do medical school in eastern europe. Both because it is way easier to enter, and the fact that you do get a norwegian scholarship while living there. I know a couple of people doing this right now and all of them live in top apartments, go out multiple times a week including restaurants many days of the week. You will receive the same amount of money calculated for living expenses in Norway, but in eastern europe. Good deal.

This makes it way more attractive to live there for the 6 years the studies lasts. So my question for the forum is which city I should chose. I excluded latvia, romania and chech republic. Even though they have great university options, i excluded them just from the mere fact that i just can not imagine my self living there for 6 years straight. Ive boiled my options down to three main candidates, both in terms of city and universities i actually have qualifications to enter:

1. Budapest

2. Poznan

3. Krakow

So gentlemen, where would you go?

Back when I was a student (in the US) I considered medical school in Europe, in countries where I spoke the language (very important!) Big problem was (still may be) that US licensing requirements make it VERY difficult for someone with a foreign degree to be able to practice in the US.
Have you been offerred admission in all 3 cities? Seems you shouldfirst apply then choose from those which admit you (if any.)
What language is instruction in? Even if in English (most Norwegians I've met speak it better than most Americans!!!) it's likely you'll need some knowledge of Hungarian or Polish to socialize, deal with everyday life, understand explanations, study with others, deal with patients at the training stage.
Polish is very difficult to speak correctly (more difficult than English.) Hungarian even more difficult.
I don'tknow about med school in Europe; in the US it precludes any socialization because of time demands. Adding the need to learn Polish/Hungarian will take up even more of your time.
As to cities, I've visited Poznan and Krakow but only as a tourist; prefer Krakow.

I would suggest that the first thing you do is confirm that any degree you're looking at allows you to become a registered medical practitioner in Norway or wherever you plan on working.

Personally, I'd gravitate more towards Poznan and Krakow, as I'd guess that these two cities would have a lower cost of living compared to Budapest, which may be preferable whilst you're still a student.

A year ago in Wroclaw I met many Norwegians that were studying Veterinary Medicine and they certainly lived like kings (massive apartments with a private ranch for horse riding, their own cars, going out a lot etc). English is the language of instruction and most of them didn't speak a word of Polish, even after living there for several years, which I found a bit moronic and disrespectful. Needless to say they rarely socialised with Poles. I've never been to Poznan but the 3 sound like great cities to live in. I visited Budapest for a few days last year and I was a bit disapointed with the quality of the girls there, deifnitely a point lower than in Poland but the city itself is stunning and there's many nightlife options. The only downsides I think would be that there's a lot of foreigners and from what I've read, locals are more closed off towards expats but if you make the effort of learning the language I'm sure you'd have a great time. Overall, I'd be more inclined towards Krakow since you're gonna be staying there long term and Poland's economy seems more promising than Hungary's.

I know a lot of medical students in Budaoest whom are from other countries to study medicine there becaus the cost is low, and apparently there are really good schools such as Semmelweis (im sure I've spelled that incorrectly). Actually I'm sure Kraków is more expensive than BUdapest though I don't know about Poznan as I've never been. In my opinion it's also more fun of a city and better looking women, not that Polish women aren't hot as hell, but I've said it before and I'll say it again Hungarian puss is some of the best puss of all times. You'll need zero Hungarian as they have all English instruction as well, Of all the medical students I've known none were Hungarian nor did any actually speak Hungarian.

So first off, the course is in english and does allow you to practice medicine in europe with not much hassle. I do know you have to take a test for the different countries, but no where near the same ammout of work you have to put down to practice in the US.

I would definitely be keen to learn the language where ever i moved. Making it a huge pluss for gaming and socializing. I think a lot of norwegians are very closed off in the first place, and just end up hanging with their other norwegian friends, just because they are not used to hanging outside their social circle or rolling dolo. Obiously the studies also are quite time consuming as well, making it harder to learn the language. But both hungarian and polish are not exactly easy languages to learn..

Women and game is obviously a big factor for which city i do end up choosing. And with my credentials i should be able to enter one of these three. In my head i just imagine that Budapest will be a way better city to live in long term (remember, i will be moving for 6 years!). Not necessarily because the women are better, just because of the city it self and all the good things i hear about it. I have read some threads here about people loving Budapest and praising its pussy. But then again, Roosh praises Polen as his favorite country. The hard choices of life

That's fantastic that you'll get funding at a Norwegian cost of living, despite living in EE. I'm jealous. You'll presumably be on something similar to an actual local person's working wage, given the disparity in incomes. Can I ask how much is the funding?

Of the three cities, I think Budapest is the best long term option. All 3 options all will have decent quality women. Over 6 years though you'll want more than just girls, you'll want an actual decent sized city with enough things to do in it. Plus its a much larger airport than the other two cities, giving you way more weekend away options.

So with our currency being quite weak and the dollar strong this is the amount of dollars i would receive each year for living:

12 667 USD - this is for living from autumn to spring during the school year.

40% of it turns into a scholarship if you pass the exams

I've lived in Budapest a year. If you think Norwegian culture is closed - wait till you get here lol.

IMO Budapest is way over-hyped on here. (i'm guilty of it too when i made a brief visit a couple of years back).

Then again...i have a cognitive bias just like the guys who are hyping it up do...and as you mention other people prefer Poland or wherever. All subjective.

i would be guessing you are going to visit each one of these cities before you make a decision (if you haven't already). It's a commitment for 6 years so would be kinda retarded if you didn't/haven't.

^^ Great point, don't know how no one mentioned that yet. If possible, by all means go and spend at least a week or so in each city and try to make up your mind then. That being said, I remember reading Roosh's Poosy Paradise where he had great success during his 1st week in a city in EE and decided to stay for several months based on that initial experience, only to regret it later. All 3 cities seem to have great potential but at the end of the day, I'd put the quality of the University and a country's job/business oportunities above anything else.

I will definately check the cities out before i decide too move! Keep in mind that women is not the primary reason i will move, it is for the studies. It is way easier to enter there as grades to enter in norway are inflated as fuck due to our school system. Thats also why im putting budapest highest as i imagine it to be the best city to live in, game and women aside

Budapest is a great city, very good nightlife,

and the cost of rent is very low compared to the other two.

Few forum members relocated to Budapest, and they were telling great stories

Budapest is a great city past just banging chicks, its also very inexpensive, there is always something to do (festivals, fairs, random outside get to gethers etc) , its close to a lot of other great cities, easy to meet people (minus Hungarian guys as most are dicks not all but most) and the list goes on. liten to Luisaceo greven and visit all the cities for a few weeks each and then make a decision.
