Gunman 'injures three after firing Kalashnikov' on Amsterdam-Paris train

• Shooting in France on Paris-Amsterdam train
• Briton and American seriously wounded
• Gunman had Kalashnikov and several knives
• US Marines heard suspect loading gun and tackled him

A man has been arrested after firing a Kalashnikov rifle on board an Amsterdam-Paris train, according to French media.
Le Parisien reports that a Briton and an American are "seriously" wounded.
A third person, the French actor Jean-Hugues Anglade, was also wounded and is said to have raised the alarm.
La Voix du Nord, a newspaper in the Calais region, said a man was arrested on suspicion of firing the weapon on a Thalys train near the northern town of Arras.
Police say that have not ruled out terrorism as a possible motive and Bernard Cazeneuve, the French interior minister, has been summoned to the region.
The gunman, said to be of "North African origin," is said to have been "taken down" by a group of US marines onboard the train.

'Murika!

But in all seriousness, with the increased migration, this is going to happen more and more frequently. I'm shocked no one was killed.

Islamic terror attack, U.S. military saving Frenchmen.

You could pull out the newspaper from 100 years ago and probably find the same headlines.

I thought they were supposed to have strict gun bans in France. To the point even few police carry them.

^Weird right? Didn't the criminal see the Gun Free Zone sign? I'm starting to think criminals aren't even concerned with laws...

Not true, all French policemen carry guns (mostly Sig Sauers)... and only the low-level "municipal police" (small-town auxiliary police) don't carry firearms.

But, you are right on one thing: for common citizens, gun laws are very very stricts... so, as a result, only cops and criminals have guns. Normal, honest French people stand defenseless[Image: undecided.gif]... (unless we'd want to "bring knives in a gunfight" with our mostly-foreign criminals, who themselves are armed with Kalashs...)

Gotcha.

I just wonder how they are getting these guys. I suppose they are being snuck over the border, but don't all the countries surrounding France have decent gun restrictions as well.

With all the guns in the USA, getting your hands on a gun like this would be tough. But in the middle of Europe it is hard to fathom.

Marines - always faithful - always ready.

Semper Fi to those fearless mother fuckers.

This could've gone south real bad, 8 mags - typically 30 rounds = 240 rounds all together or 400 rounds with 8 50-round mags.

Scary shit indeed, make no doubt about this, this is a terrorist attack.

The Kalashs mostly come from Bosnia, Kosovo... by car or greyhound-like tourist buses...

Thanks to Schengen free-traveling, gun runners only have one real border to cross, the Croatian one... then it's free ride to Berlin or Paris...

The Schengen zone allows free, unrestricted travel between mainland EU countries. After getting off the boat in France I could drive a thousand miles and not have to show my passport or go through a border check once.

When you then consider how large the EU border is and the countries surrounding it, it no longer seems so impossible to smuggle anything really.

As for the general incident, these kind of things are going to definitely happen with more regularity.

There are a million and one ways to cause chaos, fear and death without going to the trouble of hijacking planes and building bombs etc.

If people and drugs can be smuggled in, so can guns. Most guns can be taken down into small parts.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

Some may spin it, but with French Intel saying this guy was on their radar, it'll be harder to say it wasn't.

Anyway, as a Frenchman, I have to extend my sincere gratitude to these 2 Marines, on board the train... job well and truly done, dudes!

I am actually smiling, imagining the stunned face of this terrorist, coming out of the toilets like that, ready to rampage... but instead, getting his sorry ass beaten by 2 Marines... He must have thought: "What the fuck, am I unlucky or am I unlucky, what were the odds?? stumbling onto 2 Marines on this French train, just now!"

By the way, only a matter of time before some people say: "Hey, these US Marines were on this train not by coincidence, this is some false flag stunt, the Marines were there on purpose and for a reason..."

People are already saying this.

Cause it's really necessary to fake Islamic aggression with all that is going on in the World.

"Funny" thing is, France actually is a big, big friend of Islamic countries across the World!
For example, we sell state-of-the-art weapons to all Islamic States worldwide (but refuse to sell weapons to Russia! see the "Mistral" case...). Our government also lets hundreds of mosques be built everywhere in France (selling the land onto which they'll be erected, for one "symbolic" euro)... Our politicians and diplomats never criticize Islam in public. They all go on holiday spend their money in Morocco-Tunisia... They built a luxury "Institute of the Arab World" in the middle of Paris... They put in the official schoolbooks some glorifying stuff about Islamic history... They give Halal food to schoolboys, free of charge... and so on.

So, why do islamist terrorists still target France?? makes no sense at all... They should love us and be grateful.

Now let's be clear Islamist Terrorists want this yes and should be killed, standard western adaptive/secular Muslims don't, they just want better lives and mind their own business (like my parents did).

The problem with a lot the Muslim part of the immigration in the EU is they don't adapt/embrace the cultures they're living in. Then the radicals get angered that noone is like them....outside of their own country.

Throw in young males with hardly any job potential, add possible sexual frustration, and not adapting the values/cultures of host country.

A little dash of religion....it's a powder keg waiting to explode.

Aren't you Europeans glad you've got these immigrants adding diversity to your nations, and firing the Kalashnikovs that your own citizens are unable or unwilling to fire?
