Adelaide, Australia Data Sheet

With Adelaide recently being named as #5 in the world's most livable cities, I thought it would be a good time to create a data sheet on the place.

Day Game

I don't do day game here because quite honestly, it's a waste of time. Shopping centre's are always full of middle aged people, senior citizens, high school kids, and girls with their boyfriends. Very rarely do I see women in the 18-30 age bracket worth hitting on, other than the odd retail worker.

There's barely any day gaming opportunities outside of shopping malls to speak of, other than the beach December-February but more realistically only during the Christmas/New Years holidays. 9-5 working culture is big here and even in summer you'll usually only find kids on holidays and more senior citizens at beaches. Glenelg beach definitely has the most girls in the summer, but you'll be weaving through a shitload of 12-17 year olds before you find something legal.

Unless it's a Saturday, people are either working or locked up inside their houses with friends or family but if you must give day game a crack I recommend Rundle Mall/Rundle Street, especially on weekends. Friday night is late night shopping in the CBD and shops are open until 9pm so that usually brings out a lot of young girls. Thursday night is late night shopping in most of the other major shopping centres (Marion, West Lakes, Tea Tree Plaza etc) so hit those up on a Thursday night as well.

Adelaide has 3 universities on the smaller scale, which can be solid day gaming opportunities for younger players but it's nothing like a college campus in the US. You won't find large quantities of girls hanging around in cafes, libraries etc because everyone tends to go to their classes then head home. I was actually enrolled in a university for 4 years and didn't get to many leads on campus, outside of my own classes of course. Adelaide Uni is a gold mine if you're into Asian exchange students.

One more thing. Hot girls here also know they're hot (compared to the low standards set by the rest of women) so they develop terrible attitudes towards being chatted up by the average Joe in the middle of the day. In saying that, I do see a lot of quality young women with ugly guys but that's usually a result of social circles and/or drugs. Drugs = status, not just in Adelaide, but Australia in general. It really is an awful generation to be growing up in but if you want sluts then just provide the goods. Having access to drugs means more than being rich here (Not that there's many ballers in a place like Adelaide anyway- majority of the population is middle class) because young girls will blow/fuck you in exchange for drugs.

Night Game:

Being a city of only just over a million people, and a large percentage of those being older, it really does feel like you're living in a country town at times. As far as the youth goes, everybody knows everybody and venues usually contain similar groups of people every weekend which can be problematic if you're hitting the same venues on a regular basis. I often roll solo and have to make up stories as to why I am alone so every time I go out I'm constantly worries about running into the same girls and having my cover blown.

The streets are literally a ghost town after around 7/8pm from Sunday-Thursday, other than Sheesha joints which are 95% Arab men. Even Friday, which is generally a big night of the week in most places, is quiet other than a couple of venues which I'll get into later. Summer is slightly better on Friday/Sunday nights but even then you'll be limited to those couple of venues that actually do draw a decent crowd. There's also quite a few festivals in February/March such as the Fringe and Clipsal which provide better and more diverse gaming opportunities than the rest of the year.

Gaming in Adelaide isn't all negative though, if you're good looking and have solid logistics you can definitely clean up in the nightlife here due to lack of competition, but it will be with mainly 6's/7's or lower. I get eye fucked every time I go out and girls approach me on a regular basis. Hell, last weekend a guy approached me, asked for a photo and told me I'm the best looking guy he's ever seen (I'm not THAT good looking) so goes to show the mentality of living in the bubble known as Adelaide. Anyway, it's not all doom and gloom if you aren't to caught up on quality.

Night game is what I specialise in so I'll run through a few venues. Note: A 3am lockout law has been imposed in Adelaide so you can not enter or re-enter a venue after 3am. This has been heavily criticised for destroying nightlife.

Tip: Add the facebook pages of these clubs/bars and you'll easily be able to get your name on the door list, either directly through the venue or through a promoter. Saves you cash on the entrance fee and waiting in line if there is one.

CBD

HQ (Open Wednesday/Friday/Saturday nights): The super club of Adelaide and one of the better known clubs in Australia as a whole. Hosts some of the biggest DJ's on a regular basis, although nothing compared to super clubs in Europe, and is guaranteed to be packed on a Saturday night. Mostly attracts 18-23 year old hipsters and is a high energy venue so don't come expecting a nice, quiet night of conversation. There is a fairly large outdoor smoking area though which is awesome for approaching if you're not a fan of dance floor game. So many stunning Greek/Italian wog girls to be found here but they are snobby and will take some work.

Red Square (Open Friday/Saturday Nights): Absolute filth in my opinion, but it's probably the second best known club in Adelaide. Full of 18-19 year olds who are just getting into the clubbing scene and can't hold their alcohol very well. It honestly feels like a high school party except full of strangers. The floors of the 2 rooms are so sticky you can barely dance, and there's no outdoor area so forget about escaping the madness. A few friends have had a lot of success here but I've never really understood the hype. I think you would have to be really drunk to enjoy this place.

XL Super Club (Open Saturday Nights): Completely unique crowd to what you would find anywhere else in Adelaide. It's an R&B club which attracts majority Blacks, Arabs and Asians so if you're into those girls, then this is the place for you. The club can feel a little hostile at times because of groups of aggressive, black men who are on the hunt but you should be able to avoid confrontation. Decent looking white men will do really well here if you're into R&B.

Zhivagos (Open Thursday-Sunday): This venue attracts a very hipster and sometimes high-end crowd. Drinks are pretty expensive too so don't go if you're on a budget. I've found it to be very social circle orientated and only being one room, it's very small, so not a great place to game solo. Sunday nights are usually pretty good because this is the go-to place for girls who work in hospitality on their night off.

The Woolshed (Open Wednesday/Friday/Saturday): Filthy venue, but unlike Red Square a good kind of filthy. The place is massive with 4-5 different rooms and a huge beer garden out the back. Also has a mechanical bull which you can ride for free if you want to impress the ladies with your skills [Image: wink.gif] As the name would suggest, the Woolshed attracts a lot of country girls but in recent times it has become one of the busiest places for locals as well. You will find a diverse mix of woman here, from young 18-21 year old girls to 30-35 year old MILF's. Saturday night is the only night really worth going though.

Dog n Duck (Open Friday/Saturday nights): Recently re-opened under new management after closing its doors for a few months because of the lockout laws. I haven't been since it re-opened but back in the day Dog n Duck gave off a nice chilled vibe and was a great place to meet young, down to earth women. The club has two rooms and a poker machine area which is decent for chatting to girls.

London Tavern (Thursday-Saturday): $2 ciders. $3 beers. $4 spirits. Need I say more? Attracts a lot of uni students and has become my go-to spot in recent months. Thursday is technically uni night, Friday night it is one of the only decent venues in Adelaide, but to get the full experience you need to come on a Saturday night.

The Duke (Open Thursday/Saturday): Awesome beer garden with a nice, chilled crowd but you'll struggle to find any real quality. If you're happy pulling 5's/6's though then you can do it with ease here. Additionally, it's a great place to take a date and drinks are cheap on Thursday and Saturday nights because of the specials.

Go Go Lady Boy (Open Friday/Saturday): New club which I've been to a couple of times on Friday nights and it definitely cranks. They hold a full moon party once a month where they sell buckets and provide free face painting etc. The whole venue is decorated like being in Thailand as well so that's pretty cool. I've walked past a few times on Saturday nights as well in recent weeks and there has been a decent line so a viable option either night.

Just outside CBD

The Alma (Friday/Saturday nights & Sunday afternoon): Amazing, especially in summer. It's the perfect mix between a club and a bar with an outside beer garden mixed with an inside dance floor and people scattered everywhere in between. The women who frequent this place are HOT and if you have good game, you could definitely do some damage. Probably the best place for meeting girls in the early-mid 20's age group. Not for guys rolling solo as the venue layout is catered for groups and you would look pretty awkward without at least a wing man. Also not great for a SNL because the women are a lot classier than having one night stands with strangers. Come on a Sunday afternoon if the weather is decent.

The Lion (Friday-Sunday): Similar set up to the Alma, but the women are generally slightly older and not as attractive. Still a solid option.

Glenelg

The Grand (Saturday and Sunday nights): Located right next to Glenelg beach so you will find this place gets extremely busy in the summer. It's one of the only venues that open on a Sunday night so head straight here if the weather is on point or during university holidays where a bunch of uni students will be out for a good time. A lot of tall, surfer types and athletes frequent the grand so be prepared for some competition (and to be stomped on if you're short).

The Moseley (Saturday and Sunday nights): Directly opposite the Grand, The Moseley is owned by a famous Football player and attracts a lot of quality women on Saturday and Sunday nights. The drink prices are some of the most expensive I've seen anywhere in Adelaide though so be aware of that. I would describe it as the classier, better dressed cousin of the Grand. Good luck pulling a SNL from here but you can certainly get some numbers.

Henley Beach

Ramsgate (Friday nights): Friday night this is THE place to be. Much better than anywhere in the CBD and crowded with university students. Ramsgate is also next to a beach so picks up in summer as you would expect. However, it still pulls a crowd throughout the year. A lot of guys here acting like drunken douchebags so if you're sober and have a short temper, watch out.

Conclusion:

Thursday nights: The London, Duke

Friday nights = Ramsgate, The London, Go Go Lady Boy, HQ (If you like Trance and pill poppers), Red Square, Dog n Duck

Saturday Nights: Pretty much anywhere, depending on taste.

Sunday Arvo: The Alma, The Lion

Sunday nights: Zhivagos, The Grand, The Moseley

Overall, there are definitely SIGNIFICANTLY better cities for the single guy if his idea of a good time is access to women 24/7 due to lack of day game opportunities and quiet nightlife 5-6/7 days a week, but because of it's compact nature, I would say that Saturday night's are as good in Adelaide as anywhere in the country so if you're into the laid back lifestyle- working, hitting the gym, and going out once a week its a decent place to live. Girls in the 6-7 range are very common, as are girls 5 and below unfortunately, but you'll be doing really well to find a 9/10. Most of them have the desire to move to a bigger city by early 20's or are in long term relationships. Final tip- If you're coming to Adelaide, try to come in the summer time (December-February/March) or more specifically February as this is when the city comes to life with festivals and events and you'll find a lot more girls out and about.

Great data sheet.

I agree that in the summer months Adelaide is not bad, winter I wouldn't even bother going out the place turns into a retirement village.

In general, for men, Adelaide is a hell hole for dating. Besides this, it's just such a sleepy and boring city; there isn't anything interesting to do and the nightlife is pathetic. A significant proportion of good-looking girls from this city move to the east coast whilst they are young.

Don't bother travelling to Adelaide unless you are going to visit family or for a job opportunity etc.

However, if you're planning on settling down with a wife and having a family, I'd say Adelaide would be an excellent option.

I think we've all definitively come to the same conclusion here. Not that anyone on this forum seems to care because Adelaide wasn't even on their radars to begin with [Image: blush.gif]

One thing Adelaide has going for it is definitely the infrastructure. Everything is compact and close by. You can bar/club hop all night long because most venues are in the same area. It's only ever a 10-15 minute drive from the CBD to one of many beaches, and renting a house near a beach is surprisingly cheap. The suburbs are spread evenly North, South, East and West of the city centre so there's a lot of affordable housing available within a close drive/bus trip to the CBD. The traffic is a dream compared to the likes of Melbourne and Sydney. To bad that doesn't make the city any more vibrant for the single man.

Day game, and “twilight” game (gaming on dusk, not reference to the crappy films) in my experience have been quite lucrative.

Not to derail this valuable thread, but Adelaide should not be painted as being all doom and gloom. I managed to rack up 26 notches over the period of 2 years in Adelaide. This was as a 34-35-36 year old (starting as a noob to game from the date I joined here), but I agree in general that this city is not the best beyond 30, mainly due to the insular/cliquey/conservative nature that can be exhibited here.

Best to adapt and overcome its shortcomings by exploiting the niches – read: focus on FOB foreigners (and let’s face it, most of us here find them more pleasant/feminine and preferable over local white chicks anyway).

To that effect, and as evidence, below are a sample of some encounters during my last couple of years living in Adelaide (mostly online game with a smattering of day/night):

Greek / Dutch/Latvian (Aussie) / Malaysian / Thai / Cambodian / Singaporean and Taiwanese/Korean / Taiwanese / Chinese / Vietnamese / German (Virgin) / Pinay - http://www.rooshvforum.network/thread-30...#pid957872 / Chinese / Aussie / Pinay / Indonesian / Mexican / Best fuck of my life / Chinese - http://www.rooshvforum.network/thread-30...#pid980089 / Vietnamese - http://www.rooshvforum.network/thread-30...#pid990814

Further to the venue list, I’ll add the following, which are more like wine/cocktail bars and attract a bit more of a sophisticated crowd (to a degree):

Casablabla

Great multicultural feel. Serving decently priced and tasty tapas. Excellent cocktails and interesting/diverse live performers/musicians. Always have a good time here, and the chicks love the atmosphere. Just over the road is…

Udaberri

Being Victorian, this felt like stepping into a small Melbournian bar. Immediately became my home base when I found it (as well as Casablabla). Extensive wine list and attentive/knowledgeable staff. Best Old Fashioned in Adelaide. Great little loft for quiet interludes, as well as a lively front bar section and semi-outdoor section out the back. Decent DJ too. The only negative is the narrowness of the joint – but that can make for interesting openers.

Clever Little Tailor

On Peel Street, parallel to Casablabla and Udaberri. It has an Udaberri feel, and is incredibly small, but the vibe tends to always be nice and chilled. If you like drinking small batch beer from steins and spitting game from the bar, this is the place to be.

Chihuahua Bar

Also on Peel Street. Come here for the Mezcal, it is the shit. I once witnessed a chick being fucked with the end of a stubbie from behind at about 12am here. I tipped off the barman to the hi-jinx, but he welcomed it.

Bank Street Social

Interesting basement bar. Extensive liquor offerings on a cool scoreboard type board. Décor is on the money. Lines on a Friday and Saturday night can get huge, but the quality of chicks is high.

Fringe/Adelaide Festival

Last but not least, if you happen to include Adelaide in your travel plans, best time of year is February/March which is when the city comes alive. This is when the Fringe/Adelaide Festival is held. Lot's of shit happening on the streets in the city and the outskirts. Highlights are the Garden of Unearthly Delights (comedy shows and other performances) and the Royal Croquet Club (pop up bars and other stuff similar to the Garden).

Honourable mentions:

Tijuana Show Girls - no strippers unfortunately, but plenty of ripe young things in this basement bar/club on Hindley Street, decent sized dance floor for dance floor game. Staff are happy to be there too, which isn't always the case in places like that.

Distill - bar on lower level, semi-club on upper level. Noticeably decent sound system that isn't shrill and causing ear fatigue.

Botanic Bar - really nice venue on the other end of town (near Distill). Gaggles of chicks abound here, but may not be susceptible to be opened due to the layout.

Belgian Beer Bar - come here for decent beer and a feed, haven't really gamed here.

Kudos on the datasheet I was born there and its pretty damn accurate. Can't say I'm approached very often by women but if I am they are usually 5 or below. Its very common to be depressed here due to the amount of work it takes to get laid. Consider it a full time job. One of the biggest problems is the boyfriend factor, many of the good options for women are already taken.

Going out solo is not easy here as its considered 'weird'. The women will assume you have no friends/feel sorry for you so its best to make something up if you are out solo. Going out with 2-3 friends preferably girls will give you the best chances and seemed to be the only time I was ever eye fucked by semi-attractive girls. Social circle game is key for shots at the higher quality women.

Womens looks start to fade drastically as they get older due to the overexposure to the sun destroying their skin. Theres a few bars on Glenelg Beach where you will meet older women (4-6's) desperate for D.

If you are in great shape and have a wider frame women will find you more attractive (this ain't me though). I've witnessed many times my mates being approached by sluts and hot birds without them having to do a damn thing. Also if you are a tradie (tradesman) you instantly gain points.

I have to say though in the past 5 years there has been a noticeable change with a lot more infrastructure and the younger generation coming through in the night life scene. Also noticing more foreigners.

Seriously, don't come here unless its for work or a short visit. We now have the highest unemployment rate in Australia so you would struggle to get a job here anyway. There isn't really any reason to come here over Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane etc.

My take on Adelaide is fairly negative but honestly, if you are mid 20's, you are wasting your glory years living in this bubbled wasteland.

Que- It's extremely tempting to get out but its also daunting leaving everything that feels safe behind. Starting new in an unfamiliar city without the family and friends you grew up with is a big step, but one I feel I need to eventually make for my sanity.

Windom Earle- Some good additional info there. One note, Tijuana Showgirls is no longer in business. The venue is being used for Go Go Lady Boy now.

Grind- I can definitely relate to the boyfriend thing. It seems like every decent girl (looks and morals wise) gets in a long term relationship from a very young age and the ones who aren't taken are the sluts riding a different cock every weekend. It's not hard to bang these sluts but finding anything more meaningful, or at least a girl you are proud of conquering, seems highly unlikely unless you get very lucky.

You should move out of Adelaide. It only feels scary because this is your inferior self that has adapted to the safety and dull life after returning home from a overseas trip (at least for me it was). I have just left to live overseas and I had felt the same way. It was only because I knew what I was like when I travelled that I could trust in those experiences I was making the right decision even though it was frightening. If I never went to Europe and Asia over the past few years, I would probably have got a dead end job and be stuck here for the rest of my life like most oblivious people too scared to venture into the unknown.

Really? Maybe I'm just used to this place but I see a lot of cute girls whenever I go out to any shopping centre, Uni or the CBD in the space of an hour.

I hear a lot about Adelaide being boring, but what is there to do in other places that there isn't here? I don't say that to attack but out of real curiosity. I've only ever lived here so I don't know what's so bad about it.

I have quite a few mates who are perfectly normal guys but they go months between girlfriends. No 'lays' or anything of that nature. They go out once a week, and they are all in decent shape, make money, and are socially adjusted.

One thing that confuses me though is that people do just tend to get married and have kids as soon as possible.

You explained exactly a lot of the guy's lifestyle here. They work during the week, go home and play some video games, go to the gym, and sleep. Then on Saturday they go out and drink and stand around in the club, then maybe approach one girl in the whole night. I have been out with them a few times and have never seen them approach a girl, but they tell me of times when they have.

I've been out with a few people in the PUA scene here but it has been quite sad in my opinion. There's no one really to learn from so I stopped bothering.

However you definitely see scrubs with hotties.

You've never left Adelaide? Well that's clearly the problem right there. You need something to compare these girls to before making judgments on their quality. By the way, be careful because those cute girls you see are more than likely underage. Attractive teenagers are easier to find but obviously jail bait. How old are you?

Like I said, drugs are deep in the Australian culture. Young girls are with those 'scrubs' for one of two reasons and one of those reasons isn't game: Easy access to drugs (status) OR social circle. You can usually tell which one it is just by looking at them and analysing their character. Believe it or not, not all women are sluts. There are a lot of cute girls here with old school values who meet a guy in their senior years of high school/early years of university through social circles and stick with them, no matter how many higher value guys come along. This is especially common with private school girls. The problem is these girls are few and far between and you can only get them through being in the right social circle at the right time and usually that can not be achieved past high school and at the latest, first year uni.

As far as things to to do anywhere else that you wont find in Adelaide, it's not necessarily always things but just the general vibrancy of a city. Sure, you can go to the movies, bowling, shopping, concerts, play sports in Adelaide just like you can in bigger cities like Melbourne, London and New York, but all these other cities have them on a much larger scale. Not to mention a greater population, which means more opportunities to find girls you connect with. In bigger cities you can go out 7 nights a week if you like and can find somewhere solid each and every night. This isn't even close to possible in Adelaide, which is why I think many get in relationships- to prevent boredom 6/7 nights a week. Bigger cities also have greater opportunity when it comes to day game. You have more of everything. More shopping centres = more retail workers to hit on. More concerts/sports events = more gaming opportunities. Everyone catches public transport = gold mine to and from work every day. See where I'm going with this. It's the logistics of a big city, rather than the activities they offer, on top of a vastly more active night life and the single life culture that promotes.

^ I don't see how that's contradictory. The guy who wrote that article sounds young and we are both saying if you're young and good looking, and only looking for a few 6 and below sluts to smash, Adelaide is easy as fuck due to low competition. He has also only been to Adelaide on holiday so can't judge the place for anything more than a quick lay on a Friday/Saturday night.

In Sydney now. I see a lot of "fit" Australia women but it's just different to the style in Ukraine etc. women here are pretty hot and dressed up, but obviously can't match the exoticness of foreign women.

If you wanna settle down, I think Australia could be quite good. Pretty stable career prospects and chilled out atmosphere compared to western capitals. Activities such as surfing and hiking will keep you occupied during weekends.

Unfortunately most is correct on here. It didn't used to be that way though. Growing up here was great in the 80's and 90's, plenty of hot women around with no bitch shields, safe and good party scene. Now a lot of people have bad attitudes, blokes are either methed up or new Australians with a chip on there shoulders looking for a fight late at night.

If you are over 40 and looking to start a family it's not a bad option, cheap, safe apart from the party scene, easy to get around, lots of really good wineries and beaches. In winter it is pretty depressing though and if you're looking for good nightlife and the hottest women in the country i'd suggest going to the Gold Coast or Melbourne imho.
