I have to say, Laner's post was incredibly well-written.
In terms of Asia. I think Taipei is an interesting one to talk about. It's a true all-rounder.
Class division isn't noticeable there, it feels like everyone is 'one' in that city. The populous are also highly educated and English skill is pretty high.
In terms of girls, there are plently of pretty ones to go around. In terms of work, there are plenty of cushty English gigs for decent money. For things to do, it's buzzing.
Long-ass summers, beaches on the island and fantastic public transportation (Mrt and high-speed rail).
The place is safe-as-hell, the number of scruffy backpackers/expats is the lowest in Asia and the people are friendly (local guys will wing you and old woman will help you order breakfast).
As a 22 year-old single man, I had an awesome time living there.
If I were a 40 year-old man with a family. I think I would also have a nice life there (Or in Kaohsiung)
