Advice on a Re-Approach

This is a new one for me.....So, I'm sitting in my coffee place and this 21 yr old barista that has been giving me IOI's for a while walks to my table and asks me how I've been. She's a solid 7 and I've had short conversation with her before, so I start discussing her other job and her days off. Things are proceeding smoothly except for one issue....I've got THE worst tension headache ever and my usual Game has flown out the window with it. I had let her know my head was pounding at the start of the convo. She's prattling on about something and im just done. She sits down at this point and we talk for a bit before I just look at her and say, "Hey, I've got to get some Advil for this headache...Later." Haha! She looks at me like no man has ever walked off on her and bolts off in a flash. I didn't give a damn because she's always there to re-engage and I figure at the worst, she thinks I'm weird (who cares). Best case, I tossed a hard neg grenade at her ego and I just roll in next time with a "Not sure what you put in my coffee last time but you need to save it for when we have drinks this weekend."

We all have moments where our game isn't as sharp as it could be, but I thought I'd throw this to the forum for suggestions or comments on the real life hurdles that pop up in our interactions with the feral cat species.

Advice on a Re-Approach

The next time you see her I would simply say "hey, I wasn't myself the last time we spoke let me make it up to you and take you out for a drink, when are you available?" Don't make it more complicated than it is. If she's interested she'll meet you if not on to the next.

Good one....You're right, I'm overthinking it. I'll incorporate that line when I'm in there next. Thanks.
