Meeting Koreans in Chinese Language Programs in China?

Meeting Koreans in Chinese Language Programs in China?

So I've studied abroad in languages classes 3 times now, once in Chengdu, China. Once in Taiwan. And once in Seoul. Each time, I ended up in a short term relationship (I guess I'm more of a relationship type guy) with one of my classmates or someone who associated with one of my classmates of the language program.

After these good experiences, I have come to think that the best way of meeting a girl of a certain country origin is to go to the place where those girls study abroad or attend language classes, as that is the place where the girl is open to new experiences and free from any familial boundaries and or cultural (more or less) pressures.

First to give some informative knowledge. In Chengdu, I didn't end up meeting many foreigners because it was 2008 and that was right after the big Sichuan Earthquake. All of the foreigners returned to their respective countries. In Taiwan (Southern Taiwan) though, I noticed a pretty high number of Southeast Asia girls in my classes. There were also a high number of Japanese girls, but most of them came in waves with their school, probably since it was summer time and universities were holding summer study Chinese in taiwan type exchanges. And in Seoul, there was very large concentration of Japanese girls, although once again, the elderly population outnumbered the youthful ones. Yet, if you want to meet Japanese girls, I really do recommend studying Korean (ironic I know). I know this sounds like a round about way, but something about the limited communication between two first year Korean learners as you struggle to communicate basic things to each other that makes a girl and guy interacting rather simple. One starts relying on body language instead of words and you don't have to deal with all of the emotional aspects. Maybe not ideal for some, but some may like this type of experience as I did. In the end, I ended up getting with a Taiwanese girl.

After I finish studying for an exam for my graduate school entrance exam, I planning to ditch the US and go back to Asia. I want to go to a place where I can meet Korean girls. I always had a thing for the way Korean girls express themselves, and would love an opportunity to be studying amongst them with the prospect of ending up in a relationship while I'm abroad. From Chinese forums and various other english based forums, it seems to point to places in Northeast China (Dalian, Qingdao, etc) probably hold the highest concentration of Korean girls. So where would you guys suggest I go?

Would Beijing be a good place? Although I want a high population, I don't really want much competition and to get lost in the crowd. I love being the center of the girl's attention (as most guys would I assume). Something I enjoyed about my programs in Taiwan and Korea was that the language programs were small enough that it was really easy to get to know other classmates. I think that in a fast paced classroom/academic program where everyone is too busy thinking about themselves, it gets significantly more complicated, as there are too many directions to look and people get a little bit less approachable.

Anyways, I'd be curious what you all think about this. Where can I meet the most Korean girls in a Chinese language program in China? If you have info about places outside of China, I'd be open to that too.

I know you want to study Chinese, and probably can't help you there. But when I was in Japan studying Japanese, the full-time language programs, aka the ones that you get a student visa and take classes during the day, were packed to the rafters with young (20-25 year old) korean and taiwanese girls. Sorry prob doesn't help you but that is the only first hand experience I have. It was great BTW - I met an Eastern European girl in addition to a Korean, all through language class.

My plans aren't concrete yet and my test isn't until October, so I'm thinking carefully about my plans. Lol. Can you tell me specifically what language programs you recommend?

My only concern about Japan is the price tag, but I would love to do something short term there, if possible, since I also love Japan and saw the most gorgeous girl I've ever seen there as well.

Meeting Koreans in Chinese Language Programs in China?

I live in NE China in a rather large city (could take this to PM is need more info) and my university has an exchange program with 2 Korean universities. Just this weekend a hundred new Korean girls about 20 years old showed up.

I think its pretty common for most NE Chinese big cities that the Chinese programs have mostly Koreans. Liaoning Province - Shenyang, Dalian, Jilin Province- Changchun, Shandong - Qingdao.

Qingdao would probably be the nicest to live in and when I visited there a few years ago there was even a little Korea in there, full of Korean coffee shops, restaurants, all filled with Koreans.

Speaking personally: the best sex I've had came from two Korean classmates I was studying Chinese with. I don't really like most Korean girls, but the right one can be an amazing mix of feminine, fun, a little wild, great in the sack.

If you wanna meet Korean girls why not go to Korea??? You will have way more selection to choose from and you will get better quality as a result.

If you need to undergo an elaborate scheme of taking chinese classes in order to pick up korean girls, you should probably focus on improving your game more than anything else.

There are many options of language classes, google it to find the latest. Some had more europeans and ex-pat professional americans etc which was good for networking. Human is much much larger with big classes but lots of young girls.

Some also had great parties because they don't just teach Japanese, they also teach english. So they often had mixers with free booze once or twice a month so their Japanese students can practice english and vice versa. Those parties...legendary in my time there. Anyway Not sure if they still do that I was there several years ago FYI

As for cost, well its not china. But also its not all that costly either I think I was spending about $400-600 a month on full time classes. Now the yen has fallen quite a bit against the dollar, I think it would be a great time to go!

I agree with this. It should not be your primary focus otherwise you are blowing a lot of money for often mediocre (but easy) gains. However, if you want to learn the language, it is a nice fringe benefit of doing so!

Human languages looks good! The price is quite cheap too, especially given the current USD to JPY exchange rate. Do you recommend Osaka branch or the Tokyo branch?

I choose not to go to Korea because I can't justify to myself the opportunity cost of going just to hit on girls. Also, going to China would be knocking out 2 birds with one stone. I know a little bit of Korean for recreational purposes which I'd like to improve, but I want to learn Chinese for professional purposes and take HSK 6 when I can.
